Peanut, sorry, I didnt mean by the wording of the article, I should have stated that better. Their offices are in Asia, Russia, England, Germany and America. The only language close enough to being used is Norwegian or Dutch. If it had been one of the other studios that broke the rumors, it would have been posted on the Russian, Asian or English sites. Just a hunch though, but logically it makes swnse. Doesnt mean im 100% right though...

Personally I am shocked. For a company with many studios around the globe and various awards behind them, I find it shocking that the studio would be in trouble. I am curious as to which studio was reporting the rumor of unpaid wages? I know typically that the Cryengine is not used often by 3rd part developers for titles, but the games that run with Crytek have sold well. Then again, it is hard to say exactly how much they poured into Cryengine 4 development as well as the constant steady Cryengine 3 SDK updates. If this is true, then it indeed marks a dark chapter for a very powerful (if not the most powerful) engine and company. ***EDIT*** After reading the article on nl.ign, it appears that the story broke in Europe, particularly the Germany Area, which means logically that the rumors come from the main studio in Frankfurt. very saddening if this is true, especially since it's the MAIN studio!

Director, is it, or is not most pretentious and self centering to have such a thread? By who's own measure is a thread justified in terms of knowledge and experience. How does a limited pre-set of specific armor customizations add any true depth? There is a limit to the possible combinations, and every match I play, regardless of armor perm, they end looking similar. For true depth and immersion, you would need an editor for curves and buldges simar to the face and body editor you find in MMO games. But even then, after 500,000 or so combinations, you would reach your creative limit. The only real way to keep your Spartan unique, would be to lock the perms and colors to YOUR career, justike a Gamertag. Only allow a certain combination tk be used by one player. That would be a great way to keep your Spartan unique and warrant an enormous permutation feature.

Having a next gen console does not automatically equate to being able to have a larger budget or render more polys ingame. What it all comes down to is how efficiently the engine can display the polys and how many polys the models and or game assets are created with. If you had Halo 2 style and resource assets for say Halo 4, then your budget would have been 7 times what is was. What I am trying to say is, that there is no doubt that Halo 5 will have a very detailed collection of assets, and with that detail there will need to be a trade-off, whether it be budget, or LOD or whatever else you can logistically conceive. Also keep in mind that hardware has nothing to do with how efficiently the software or engine utilizes the hardware.

He's not talking about dependency extraction. The jmad is strictly for the animation raw and key frames. The rigged biped is in the render_model tag and should be extracted properly through Adjutant, but can only be imported through use of the AMF or that other first app format. No, the models are not the same throughout the map files, just as the texturea are not. The tag table may list all textures used by a particular map, but not all are written internally, which is why some are not viewable or extractable unless you open the mainmenu or shared resource. Similar to Reach and ODST, some models are unique to certain maps, and this includes bipeds. The character tag will do nothing to help him, as this is specific actor data for Halo. I dont have experience with GMod and it never looked intereating enough to bother with.

I'm not sure what kind of problem your having or why, but default, Adjutant exports bones, markers and nodes with render_models. I recommend using the AMF format when exporting.
