  1. Again. The important thing for Halo isn't to cater for 10.000 players who want a ranking system. Most people go into matchmaking alone, and a ranking system like H3 Trueskill would likely only frustrate and harm them. Halo need to make the game more appealing for ALL. The CASUALS. This will make the online experience more fun for all.
  2. 343 is still in shock of how this game was recieved. If half the staff isnt sacked yet due to finacial reasons, i figure theyre busy making the TU. Unless Microsoft already stopped them.
  3. You know I like several things with the game. Change loadout rules, and linger spawn times, and the game is the best Halo ever. I want a pure Halo3 multiplayer on nitro. This games pretty close. Engine ang Gfx tops all on Xbox. Is just an npolushed diamond rules wise.
  4. I probably jumped some ghosts, but it seems much harder to time. As if a ghost doing a boost in lightspeed. U already use a plasma as second, for more reasons than vehicles (the h2 plasma hs combo). I hate the fact u can select it at will from start, as it renders vehicles half useless.
  5. Or force weapon loadouts and have plasmas, boltshot and carbines (Dmr, Br, Lr, carbine) in the drops. This also removes some of the bigger power weapons from drops/gameplay, making them a rearer occurrence. Better. No wait. ******* Great!! Quick fix for ALL. Employ me 353. Forgot to say.   7. Right. Engine &gfx coders should be kept. Sack rules/gameplay constructors.
  8. I agree with all Op! Sniper kickings good tho. Remove all optional weapon selections bull****, and ordinance drops and you'll have a good game. Remove all new bull**** entirely, reinstate power drain, bubble shield, and you have the best Halo ever made. Oh, and you can keep the Mantis. It's cool

  11. They DID say theyre looking into core mechanics and are working on two TUs. That's pretty good news I'd say. Expect new episodes of Spartan Ops to require the map packs tho
  12. Halo 3 was 700 k months after release. I was online from Oct 2007. Remember it well.
  13. The main difference from previous Halos is a smaller and more scripted sandbox. The price you pay to make the game look better than ever. Ok for me. Btw: How anybody can buy Halo for campaign alone is beyond me. Really.
  14. @James lee The hardcore Halo players may want a ranking system, but the problem isn't catering for 10k players but for those 200k this game lost in a week. The CASUALS. Or do you want a dead game, and 300ms lag in all online matches? Also, nobody of you hysterics played Reach Arena. It was a deserted place. Why? Because Bungie gave you a FAIR ranking system, judging individual skills alone, not enabling fake "50"s who piggy backed entirely on team mates, like in your beloved FakeSkill of Halo3. Ofcourse, but if a game dies this fast something is seriously wrong. Halo 3 kept like 500k or above for YEARS. Mw2 kept 900k for atleast two years, Bo1 something like 2mil for a year. Reach held like 500k for a year. Also consider theres way more consoles around nowdays, this means the figures should be atleast equal or rise over time, not drop.
  15. Why should you need a loadout ability to dodge vehicles? In halo 3 you could jump a ghost or hog easily and even plasma nade it in the meantime. I've yet to manage this ONCE in Halo 4? Why??????? It seems impossible as if you're out if time no matter how you time it. Especially against Ghosts. But I can't remember pulling it off against a hog either.
  16. Trying to scope someone with a carbine on 15m distance whilst moving should never beat a spamming weapon. Except very rarely. In halo 3 the BR was the right option at all times. It's a good thing they upped the AR I'd say.
  17. What dope are you on? The only playable maps in Reach was forge maps, and perhaps Powerhouse. This guy knows what he's talking about.

  20. Since all matches are long distance strafe fests, I'd say loadout SHIELD is the new annoyance. And wallhack. The most stupid thing ever. Boltshot isn't much different from the Mauler of Halo 3, its just the loadout system enabling you to start with it that **** things up. Same problem with Plasma Pistol making any vehicle ride a short one...... It's not theweapons, its the stupid loadout system!
  21. Nothing makes any difference. Wallhack and Shield are way most powerful.
  22. Op. The AR is superpowered compared to H3, so is the pistol. Halo 4 could have been the PERFECT Halo 3 wrapped in supernice graphics, including default sprint, which only would have made a great game better. (H3 movement was super slow). Forced AR/Pistol starts never made any more sense EVER!@
  23. I don't think you'll see a Halo 5. Games stunningly good at core, idiot who thought out loadouts and drops should be shot. Put up the vid on You Tube when you pull the trigger 343.
  24. You are wrong. I know it. Games too frustrating for noobs (strafe fests) , and all loadouts except wallhack and shield are gimmicks now. End of story. Online pop proves it. COD never needed a ranking system to keep folks in (got one now in League Play tho).
