  1. Epitaph? Wtf is wrong with u people. U never played H3, that's for sure. Or were u all Lone Wolf boosters? Nah
  2. While I don't agree its too noob friendly, I agree with all your other impressions and suggestions. I'd go as far saying ditch loadouts, weapon selections, and drops. Make rules as Halo3. Add bubble shield, power drain as pickups. Keep regen and overshield, and damage boost (like it. It's old-school style).
  3. No I'm not kidding u. I was there from hrs zero. The casuals left after a week. And some kept comin for like three weeks. Theyre gone now. Thats why you have 15 players in team regicide.
  4. With the right setup u can run n gun against ANY ops in BO2. No bull. Halo4 with the Halo3 setup would be the best ever. Know what made it fun? The casuals was on. Nothing else. Really.
  5. Since basically all matches is Slayer BR and all the casuals left week one, I'd say its harder. Way harder than H3 match making. Faster too.
  6. I'll be playing Bo2 anyway until things change so... Whatever.
  7. You can HEAR a Jetpacker a mile away. Wallhack waaaaay overpowered + biggest camp-tool ever.
  8. AR bei.g norr powerful is a good thing, since hirscan and DMR makes the opps extremly powerful. Also, it keeps casuals playing thus game. The few thats left. It was always possible to spam grenades in Halo since you've always could scavenge. In fact, a well placed nade and a single hs always was one of the beauties.
  9. Everyone runs around with a figurative "railgun" anyway as is. T Bloody Initiate: someone was faster than you.
  10. Wrong. Harder than 3 for most. Right. Core mechanics and gfx of this game is stunningly good. Waaaaaay better than Reach and H3.
  11. Just like Jetpack needs a boost
  12. Bkack Ops has a ranking system, but non league play hasn't, and COD never had. Still the game is going strong like hell online. How come? ALL CAN ENJOY
  13. Reach had like 700-300k first 12 months of online play. Just saying.
  14. Smartass remarks aside, the guy is right. It's unbelievable the userbase dropped this fast.My bet is that the game is too noob-unfriendly with all matches ending up in Br/Dmr strafe-fest...
  15. To be honest, I think MS closed the franchise already.
  16. Nuketown playlist is still up. Stop bull****ting. You guys are right on many things but one; H4 does NOTcater to the casuals. Casuals can't put repeated headshots into moving targets at the rate H4 is requiring. Therefore they left week one. I'm absolutely SURE of this. I think most people went to Bo2 btw. The crisis for a game like Halo is also a crisis for the 360. People play on smartphones these days. That's the big issue.
  17. I'm pro at it. Complainers complaining about it being overpowered hasn't even learned to use it.
  18. Wallhack without a doubt. Sadly. Solace is the only map the nerfed Jetpack works btw. Overall, the loadouts has next to none impact on outcome, nomatter what map. Except for the grossly overpowered wallhack. Shield works too, since most matches are carbine-fests, and putting it up as you've about to be out strafed saves your life many times. too many.
  19. You guys forget wallhack is the ULTIMATE campers tool. I see people staying in one place using it as such all the time.
  20. I like Halo4, but I FULLY agree with you. In fact. I think this engine with Halo3 rules and original items would be absolutely awesome. AR/Pistol starts, the rest you pick up from map. Loadout bull****, and Drops gone. I can even sacrifice my love Jetpack for it.
  21. So added boost to Jetpack is a gamebreaker, but constant wallhack isn't??? Get this, flying (while conserving your boost) as you scope and kill is a SKILL! No other loadout requirement comes even close to it. And you are vurnable like hell while up there for any combined shooting. Jetpack as is now is worthless. Period. In fact, I would argue that since the bloom is gone the ground force have an even easier job taking flyboys out, so to balance Jetpack, would mean letttng it have an even BIGGER boost than in Reach if anything.
  22. Dedicated servers is more than just servers. It's a complete overhaul of game code and its an server infrastructure that has to be in place on a global backbone scale. Very different from just having games set up and catch results from host as things are over. WAAY different things. Me myself, I prefer p2p, since it gives better performance overall given ONE condition; there's plenty of players around. The game won't change, so I suggest you folks start to figure out how we bring the casuals into matchmaking, because this is the real issue. I suggest less MLG-like gameplay (carbine fragfests). Force starting and respawn weaponary to AR/Pistols and much is done imo.
  23. 14ms ping? 78 ms ping? To what????? All ping to anywhere is relative! You can have 300 ms ping to a server standing a block from you if the lines are super busy or nets badly configured. It all DEPENDS. Ok? Fine. You with a s 78 ms ping perhaps benchmarks a server 500 miles away. And dude with s 14 ms ping perhaps does a server 20 miles away. See? First case says nothing about you own connection, its the server and lines your route takes. In example two perhaps the guy with 78 ms ping hast the best local performance. See? Good performance in Halo means host sitting on an fairly unchoked line (to each participant) and having good local performance, high bandwidth, and participants are fairly regional to host. As is now, with like 50k players in TS for example, means you can have people from the whole world in the same match. This is what's causing the lag and poor performance. I dnt know if it got thru, but ping generally is dependant on DISTANCE to the host you're pinging. Your local performance and provider performance can be good and u still get **** connect to some part of the internet. That's all. The thoughts about data reading faster if only one disc is installed is sound tho. I assume u get a penalty when installing a DVD on disc because this most likely means the system still has a DVD cache on HDD for the installed DVD, which in turn means it reads and writes from hdd to cache on hdd, while also at same time reading HDD cache. Things probably goes smoother if DVD is feeding HDD cache alone ans system only does HDD reads while running. I wouldn't stop installing games on HDD for that reason tho. Spinning discs are too annoying.
  24. It's what you get with a p2p multiplayer and a shrunked userbase. Get more players online and your problem is solved. It's mostly because of distance to host, nothing else. All the servers does is grouping people together and selecting which one of them being most suitable for host, nothing else. Lag during gameplay has nothing to do with servers.
  25. No the DMR is not fine. If 90% of population use it as a long range weapon its overpowered most likely. Make time between shots Dom fraction of a sec longer. Some fraction of a sec I meant. **** phone.
