Clearly 343, like Bungie, think America is the centre of the universe

I don't know any insults for Australians but you deserve one for thinking that the SR levels mean ANYTHING :-/- 11 replies

Oh enlightened one, please explain.

Not true. Chess is hard, tic tac toe is easy. Both are multiplayer games. The larger the potential skill gap is, the "harder" the game is. When you reduce the potential gap, then the game gets easier.

Because the objective is to kill, not stay alive. You answered your own question. Staying alive is easy, I could hide in a corner and probably not die in any match. Its hunting your opponents and trying to kill them that is the challenge.

With someone playing to win and someone playing to have fun, the person playing to win will almost always be playing at a higher level, or at least more competitively. What? This has nothing to do with anything. Yes well nobody serious uses the AR or SR as their main weapon when they can have a DMR or BR.... People bought Halo 3 and it has basically Halo 2.5. The thing is, Halo has always been different, thats why people bought it. Yes they reached out to different markets with H4 and reach, but it didn't change anything, for all of the new people they gained, they lost some older, dedicated players. Look at the sales for the first week, H4 made as much as H3. Yes, I know its standard, but that doesn't mean that the good maps should be held back in these maps packs while they release the crappy ones. Back in H2 and H3, they released many good maps on disk.

None of this matters, though, when you can start a game of Dominion 5v6 and lose in the minute it takes for another person to join via the JIP system. Or when you start a game of CTF and the enemy is able to secure the middle laser, kill your Mantis and sniper, and grab your flag all before it becomes an even match.
-
Not every time, but SOMETIMES it takes minutes. This is not always the case... Stop flip flopping, first you are talking about people who only play 1 game. Now you are talking about a lot. Besides, thats completely unreasonable to say that it would take FIVE extra minutes to start a game. Maybe a minute or two at MOST. My two statements were two different posts talking about two different things. Anyone who leaves a game. So obviously this means both kinds of people.

It started in Reach, and Halo 4 continues this trend of making the game easier and easier... Your minimap now tells you a lot more (elevation, vehicle profile, etc) You can spawn with stickies on EVERY map AAs, at least in H3 they were only equipment, and you had to pick them up and they only worked once You can spawn with a mini shotgun You can spawn with a plasma pistol!!! You no longer have to memorize anything (weapon spawns, spawn times, etc) The game tells you where the flag carrier is..... You instantly respawn Power weapons now drop at your feet Vehicles are a lot less durable Grenade indicators, because its sooo hard to know where that grenade went, miright? the list goes on....
-
Given that everyone always spawns with 2 stickies and maybe a plasma pistol, this feature is needed or else nobody would ever be able to jack a vehicle. Lesson? Don't let people get too close to you...
-
And then you lose to the guy who held the trigger down because he got more bullets to you, faster. A full clip should be more than enough to kill someone and if it isn't, you are too far away and a DMR would be better...

??? You just debunked your attempt at countering my point... The problem is that the system in Halos 1-3 was perfectly fine. But then they completely scrapped it for one that sucks and has all of the problems. Also no secondary weapon will beat a primary at anything other than CQC. The point is that Halo was perfectly fine as it was, there was no reason to scrap the fun, unique aspects of it to be like every other game on the market that aren't as fun as Halo used to be. I hope to whatever god you believe in that you aren't actually saying you like Haven... And oh yay, I have to pay to maybe get the chance for decent maps, yay!

Do you realize how silly you sound?

Who cares if they can't play 2 or more matches, I was and we still are talking about one match. And if you can't wait an extra MINUTE before playing a game, maybe you should wait until you have a little bit more freetime. Not moments, minutes. Big difference. And yes, sometimes they even out before the game starts but not always, and like I said in the OP, that is unacceptable. I never said this... I said that nearly 100% of gamers have a leaver. Not they 100% of them start uneven. "extended amount of time" If 1-2 minutes is an "extended amount of time" then you either need to wait until you have more free time to play, or look into getting medication.

Oh please, its extremely obvious that ranked games and unranked games are worlds apart in terms of seriousness and playstyle. Remember back to H3 if you played, you would know. You kill 3-4 people, you are probably out of DMR ammo and you don't get THAT many PODs. Also, considering how quickly weapons despawn, and how quickly players respawn, its very difficult to get to where enemies dead bodies are unless you kill them in CQC. And plenty of modern shooters are stupid [/debate] Have you even played H3 lately? Its not really dated at all. H4 is just incredibly shiny and bright in order to make you think it looks a lot better. But the problem is that unlike H3, the maps in H4 AREN'T well-made, well-balanced, or fun.
-
His so called "points" made no sense. What does playing 2 or more matches have to do with anything? I never said anything about this... I debunked 3,4,and 5, if you would have bothered to read. In H4, there is definitely very close to 100% of games having at least one leaver in them, maybe 95%+. H3 couldn't have had more than 10% (if that high) because of the leaver prevention system.
-
Camping is of course a strategy. Is it one that takes brains or skill to use? Of course not! But then, neither does choosing to spawn with an AR and charging at people with the trigger held down, but people do that everyday too.
-
What if we all started with no AA, but you could pick them up on the map? Oh and you could only use each AA once? OH WAIT, that was Halo 3 and it was much better than the crap we have now.....
-
Thats what we get with this map selection system.
-
He never "countered" anything, maybe you should learn to read. The system where only like 5% of gamers had leavers compared to the 100% now was more perfect than this...
-
Because they are. Its called a PRECISION weapon for a reason. You have to be precise with it, unlike the AR which you just point and hold down the trigger until your enemy is dead. Spamming the DMR takes infinitely more skill than spamming the AR. EX. Take two people, face them together 5m apart, and give them each a DMR. If they are both equal skill they will both die. If one is better, one will die and one will live. If you replace that weapon with the AR, no matter what they both die. You cant be "more skillful" with the AR.

If you want accuracy then use the ACCURACY weapons: DMR/BR/Carbine/Light Rifle *facepalm*
