The majority of people who play a game will always like it because they are playing it. Thats just logic. They can do whatever they want with it, but unless they change some stuff drastically, their sales for Halo 5 will be horrible.

Halo 3 over a 24 hour period, FOUR years after its release date, WHILE Halo Reach was out, had 800,000 UNIQUE players in all of its hoppers. http://forums.bungie.org/halo/archive37.pl?read=1084475 Halo 4, over a 24 hour period, a MONTH after its release, had a total of 1,920,000 over the course of a day. I used Saturday the 8th as the data set and added the population of each hour together, this obviously does not equal the same data as the unique users of Halo 3, but it is somewhat comparable. You could probably cut this number anywhere from 50% to 25% to get a more accurate picture of UU. http://halocharts.com/2012/chart/totalpopulation/all What does this mean? That H4 isn't the success that H3 was, by far. 343 has these numbers, I wish they would take them into consideration, but their bottomline is sales. With this new Halo trilogy set to release on a much quicker timeline, survivability of the game isn't as high of a priority. They want to sell as many copies as they can, then let their users get bored of it after a bit, then sell them a brand new game. That is why there are so many features missing and bugs in H4 right now. They want to string people along, and release the fixes and new features along with the release of new expansions (map packs and SO episodes).

Yes, because the large amount of complaints on all Halo 4 forums, the large amount of people who have left the game or sold it, etc of people are evidence that this game is completely healthy. Look at it like this: Halo 3 over a 24 hour period, FOUR years after its release date, WHILE Halo Reach was out, had 800,000 UNIQUE players in all of its hoppers. http://forums.bungie.org/halo/archive37.pl?read=1084475 Halo 4, over a 24 hour period, a MONTH after its release, had a total of 1,920,000 over the course of a day. This is a great idea! Then I'll switch to jetpack when I get to the enemy base and jet over the wall to grab the flag then switch to PV so I can make sure to avoid enemies when Im carrying the flag back to base. And if I get intercepted I can switch to regen to help me win the fight!

Nope Except like 90% of people don't talk in SO Again, almost all players don't speak Its SO, there are a million power weapons on every map and they respawn quickly, this is just silly. Same as above. Its SO, nobody cares. Like literally, not a single person in the world cares. Since most people don't speak, this is unlikely, and if he is obnoxious then he deserves to get kicked Like what? Destroying someone else mantis? This is the entire point of a booting system, so this is a point FOR it. What? Why would anyone do this, its SO..... Also thats like 1% of the population so this is just silly. You act like people take Spartan Ops seriously... If he is lagging then he SHOULD be kicked by the system in the first place. SO can be really obnoxious This is the point of the system, don't kill your teammates, its really not that hard to do. What? This is just dumb (like all of these other "points") I cannot think of a single situation in which 3 average players would vote to boot someone for whatever the hell this is supposed to mean. Maybe, this is probably the only real complaint against such a system but since like nobody talks, this wouldn't be a problem. I doubt 3 average players would just boot a random person for no reason, they don't in other games where this is an option.

Read my sentence again, *stuck*

Ok guys, let me stop getting stuck from people who can throw grenades from their dead bodies..... Besides, this is BS considering weapons despawn in 3-4 seconds, so this perk allows people to prevent enemies from getting their power weapons *facepalm*

"recent" game as if 343 didn't have a whole engine and years of design patterns to build off of.
-
Don't listen to everyone else here, its not your Xbox, this game is especially buggy when it comes to players joining each other for some reason. I have a friend who cannot join my games and I cannot join his, but we can both join a third friend's game and play with each. Its H4 and 343's retarded programming.
-
Thats not the issue. The problem is that people can throw a grenade at you AFTER they die.
-
I only played through the M3 single player campaign, the multiplayer didn't seem very fun to me.

Im really glad they added the perk Martyrdom in this game, you know, the one were if you die, at the last second a grenade falls on your body. I think this was such a great change and really helps out the players that aren't very good and die all of the time!
-
Well maybe they should get a job and stop being so poor....
-
Halo 2's campaign was pretty great except for that retarded boss fight at the end. Im glad 343 didn't go down THAT road again.

Are we playing the same game? The mantis is probably the strongest vehicle in the game. It has the best range of movement, its extremely hard to board, it has a 1hk MELEE attack combined with rockets that are almost 1hk PLUS a chaingun.
-
How about No. Both of these so called "problems" of yours are what make Halo, Halo. If you want this game to require no skill and everyone run around with fully automatic weapons then go play CoD.
-
Im just pointing something how that doesn't make sense. Why would 343 introduce a ton of new weapons that rely on the RNG more than normal? Also, if everyone was completely happy and didn't complain this forum would be boring. Imagine, every thread would be like "Omg I love this game!" "[POLL] How awesome is this game? Really Awesome or SUPER Awesome!?!??" etc

Spartan Ops, Good, Bad, Getting Worse, Getting Better?
Cortar replied to Chickenstick's topic in Halo 4
Eggheads. They should fire their dialog writing team. Plain and simple, its really, really, really bad. it sounds like a minimum wage, fanfic writing, high school student wrote these lines. -
This forum isn't the official 343 forums, I know it looks like it, but its just false advertising.

What normal playlist are you talking about?

Breaking down the type of Forum users that argue balance.

This thread is the biggest waste of time -
Did you even think this through? If the AR had range and a scope, what the hell would be the point of long range precision weapons? It sounds like you just don't like aiming and are tired of getting killed because the other guy out-DMRed you. I would suggest actually practicing and getting better rather than spewing your nonsense on the internet for everyone else to laugh at. No.

I should change the title to the Forerunners because the vast majority of RNG* weapons are from the Forerunners. This is obviously because the majority of weapons that 343 introduced into the game are Forerunner weapons, but this begs the question, why? First lets take a look at all of the forerunner weapons: Boltshot# Scattershot# Binary Rifle# Light Rifle Suppressor# Incineration Cannon# Pulse Grenade I have marked with a # symbol which ones are subject to the RNG. Now obviously the most startly weapons marked are the sniper and rockets. All forms of sniper rifles in this game are subject to some form of "kick" meaning, if you are standing still and shoot, your cursor will jump in a certain direction afterward. For some reason, the Forerunner gun is subject to the most random "kick" Beam Rifle always kicks upwards, with a slight variation of about 5 degrees in either direction Sniper Rifle only kicks straight up or to the right, at most 10 degrees right from the vertical Binary Rifle has a possible kick radius of about 90 degrees, it can kick from the upper right to the bottom right, and any direction in between The Incineration Cannon, or IC is also surprising. From launchday until this morning, I always thought the IC's secondary explosion is a set pattern, but after messing around in Forge, its possible to notice that the direction of the secondary explosions are not set and instead are random. Both shotguns, the Human Shotgun and the Scattershot are subject to RNG at each shot (which is nullified if you are close enough) but even the casual observer can notice that the SS is very true to its name and that its shots indeed scatter much more than the Human Shotgun outside of confirmed kill range. For the last category, the sidearms, the Boltshot is the only one that really is RNG based, the Magnum does have bloom, but careful timing will negate that, nothing can negate the random spread of the BS. Halo 4 as a game, has many more uses of the RNG than in past Halo games. Now, even the power weapons you get are subject to it because of the POD system. Even some of the maps have random elements in that some are almost symmertical, but not quite, Exile, Abandon, etc. Why does 343 love the RNG? I don't know, maybe because it lowers the skill gap and makes the game more accessible to newer players, but this is only a guess. *RNG stands for Random Number Generator, which makes just means "random"

You and all of the real Halo fans man....
