Now if only the stopped giving the King so many individual points for nothing... Or at least took away points from him when he died and the playlist would be perfect.

Yes thats fine, and the death would only count against your personal score, not the team's score.

This isn't COD, the AR isn't supposed to be good. They keep buffing it because but its still pretty crappy and should stay that way. Just grab the DMR/BR/Lightrifle and actually play Halo.

Game Play Mechanic differences between Reach and 4
Cortar replied to TransientHalo's topic in Halo 4
Here is how it SHOULD be: The AR shouldn't be able to kill a BR/DMR user at any range if the BR/DMR user hits all 5 shots perfectly, except maybe melee range (where the AR user can shoot for a second then hit). -
-_______- WHOOSH. This post ------------- Your head Someone who goes 15-15 gets a higher score than someone who went 15-10. The first person didn't help their team nearly as much as the second. Thus, the second person should get a higher score. In Team Regicide, once you become King, its really hard to dethrone you as you just get points for standing around and if someone that goes 15-15 is King at the beginning, thats almost impossible to dethrone him. Also, he will almost definitely lose you the game, because the King who went 10-5 just got a ton of more points from sprees and staying alive as King. I know this may be too difficult for you to understand, but don't give up! If you keep trying really hard maybe you can understand this post! Detract works in this context also.

But choosing to use the boltshot doesn't make you more skillfull. If we go bowling and I get a strike without the bumpers down, but then you go after me and put the bumpers down and get a strike too, does that make you as skillful as me? Actually this is the perfect analogy. A high skill gap game would be bowling without the bumpers, but if you put them down, then it becomes a lower skill gap game.
-
Because thats not really easy to detect..... [/sarcasm]
-
Oh ya, that boltshot so skillful! Almost takes as much as skill as the AR!

Since you can just straight up leave games with no penalty if you are anywhere near 5-20 you should probably just leave, there is no excuse to have that bad of a game. This is mostly for Team Regicide though, its annoying when the one of the badder players on your team gets first strike then stays King for a long time, feeding the enemy team deaths but staying King bc he gets a few kings every now and then.

Obivously this is a troll post but I will bite. (1) I kinda agree with you in a way. Autoaim should be toned down (2) All console games kinda have to have autoaim because its a lot harder to actually aim with the controller (3) All console Halos have had autoaim

You should reread the perk. It doesn't decrease the time between shield recharges, only how fast it recharges when it DOES recharge. Its basically useless.

A player who went 20-20 is not better for the team than the player who went 17-10. I know its going to hurt some care bears feelings but we honestly should go back to just straight up k/d's. If not, at least modulate the current system some. ESPECIALLY for Team Regicide Its very easy to get a king that goes 1-1 and makes your team lose in the end because he played so poorly but he stays king the entire time.

Its called a SKILL GAP. The game is easier to be better and harder to be really good. A good example is war (the card game) there is no such thing as a "good" war player because there is no skill gap, you just turn cards over. Now, if you play something like poker, its still a card game, but the skil gap is higher.

If you can understand English, why do you care, dubs always suck so much.

The problem with this argument which fanboiz keep regurgitating endlessly is that Halos 1, 2 and 3 were all different, yet kept the same core gameplay. Their sales were fine, the community was happy. There was no reason to mess up the core gameplay of Halo (weapons on map, no loadouts or perks, etc). You can add new stuff, like Halos 2 and 3 did, but they kept the core gameplay. Dont throw the baby out with the bathwater! Imagine if the next call of duty game had shields and no perks, people would be rightly angry! Halo has always been one of the more "pure" FPSs, that is, there was no advantage given to higher "level" players; each game was an even playing field at the very start, everyone had the same abilities and weapons. But they threw that out of the window in Halo 4.... for no reason. Halo has entered the modern era and assimilated into the COD, Battlefield, etc style of play. Also, the another problem of Halo 4 that you mentioned by breezed over is the lack of customization of custom games. If Halo 4 is supposed to be the new and 'evolved' game, then why are there LESS options for game makers? If Halo 4 is so evolved why then is there no ranking on release, unlike Halo 2 and 3? Why are there maps on disk that you have to pay to unlock? Why did they delete some of the BEST gametypes (1 flag ctf and race?)? Why are there less matchmaking hoppers???? *Note I don't consider Reach to be any but a pile of **** so I never include it when talking about Halo

Boltshot, PV, sprint, even jetpack to an extent all make the sword pretty useless.
-
Some gametypes don't have instant respawn. Besides the point is why even add it? Who the hell wants to see their death that literally just happened
-
There are some gametypes floating around with no instant respawn, no AAs and no sprint. Google for them and play some customs with some friends.
-
??? No its not "cheaper than ever" its weaker than ever....
-
Maybe you never played Halo 2 or 3.... But the Sword used to be a power weapon. With you, you were a force to be reckoned with. Now, everyone has PV so they know you have it and exactly where you are. Also, everyone has a boltshot so good luck getting the kill and surviving!

Level 130 cap supposedly being lifted on release of second map pack?
Cortar replied to Kirk Collins's topic in Halo 4
How about a specialization that made is so nobody could sprint and everyone's perks were disabled? -
What.... is the point of this? You know nothing about Halo 5 or 6 so...... ya? Also I hope to god that they don't bring the flood back. We already beat them. Bringing them back would be lame.

.... Please read my post before responding. I already talked about the evolution of the game series. Being nitpicky doesn't make them wrong or you right. Especailly in those contexts. Thats like saying that if I wrote a book and called it Jerry Notter and changed a few more details about the plot and such that it isn't copying... You actually did contradict yourself: You try to say that Halo's instant respawn is different because its only in certain gametype but then in the next sentence you say the same thing about CoD.... Which makes no sense. Since you obviously didn't read my post... Let me repeat myself. Yes the game has changed. All Halo games have change. But Halo 4 changed in a much different, and worse way than Halos 2 and 3. Halos 2 and 3 kept the core gameplay of Halo 1 and added new elements that either improved gameplay or just changed it. Halo 4 changed by scrapping much of the core gameplay by adding in very radical way. halo 4 would have been like 2 or 3 and changed.... but in a good way. There was no reason to change it like they did. Halo 3 sold millions of copies. Halo 3 still had a large online audience. There was no evidence that people were tired of the traditional Halo experience at that point or that they would ever be. Its telling that for all of its changes Halo 4 still sold as much as Halo 4.

The map size problem can never be fixed. 343 pigeon holed themselves into this style of play with the addition of sprint and instant respawn. All maps HAVE to be medium size now otherwise the gameplay gets too chaotic. Haven is a great example of this, many times, a player who you just killed will be able to respawn, shoot and kill you before your shields even recharge.
