  4. Also, would be cool to see how it played moving the receiving teleporters to the upper level directly above. Leaving at the bottom but, coming into the other base at the top.
  5. I can dig. I would only suggest moving the flag locations.. maybe to the top middle portion of the upper walkway in both bases. -O

  7. Looks cool man. Wish 343 would of done something better with the light elements. The glowing balls of light are not super cool. Seems they could of stepped up this part of Forge.
  8. Like the vision effect (flood) when one goes into the central area? If so, yeah, I wanted that to be like a toxic room. it doesn't change anything but, your vision.. and you temporarily lose your armor ability. However, I suppose a version could always be cranked out without that effect. Thanks for feedback, -O

  12. Well, no one is "powerful" when slowly floating around. I'm just speaking from our experiences on the map. I didn't just run around it solo only to report back here with some random biased thoughts We played a few games on it with around 4 of us. The 1st round was all about floating around like retards.. (twas fun) But, the following games were serious and it always ended up with the team who stayed out of the gravity volume(s) winning. So, the final game.. no one touched it at all. I just think people don't like being resticted. It's cool to be able to float up and down slowly.. But, that's like a dream come true for someone sitting off the to the side with their trusty DMR. There was nothing like that in Guardian. Stay forged, -O
  13. Another thing.. besides downloading the maps before people comment on them.. (which, should go without saying) they should also play a legitimate couple of games on them with at least one or more other players. There isn't a forge map in existance that is meant to be enjoyed solo. If one doesn't have the time to do this and give a map a proper go. Then, please refrain from giving extended "reviews". Think that makes the most sense. -O
  14. I checked out this map. I like the focus on the sky-scraping central design element (even tho, a lot of people do that) My only minor suggestions/gripes would be the following: The interior of the spawn bases look a little bland and boring. Also the lowest level of the map seems a little barren. Maybe it should be further divided and made into more of a close quarters area. I know the main focus is the central area with the gravity volumes. This is by far your map's strongest element. Bravo on the visual design of this area. However, it's a tad bit gimmicky. Due to the fact that it's a really large area to limit the player's freedom of movement. It has fun potential with friends sure but, not at all for competitive gameplay. People would just avoid it entirely and pick off anyone stupid enough to float around in there.. and I wouldn't blame them Keep trucking! -O
  15. Looks cool to me. Like the disc structures. My only minor thoughts/suggestions: • Set initial spawns to have good view angles. (Instead of looking at a wall etc.) • Lower that box just a smidge to make it easier to jump on. -O
  16. Did you try it with other people or did you just run around looking for things to harp on? I don't think the distance the red team spawns from the banshee is a big deal. I've played many games on this map in testing and the banshee is hardly the 1st place people go. The braces can easily be fixed with kill zones (like the upper level braces currently are). Everything is a premade structure in forge.. we don't get to create our own custom objects. Besides the stuff from the Impact palette is some of the most visually appealing objects to ever appear in a halo game. I feel I used them sparingly and wisely. The map is intentionally made to be somewhat brutal and unforgiving. Yet, you can pretty much gauge what's going on from anywhere on the map. Site lines are blocked but, not visually blocked. The central area is a risky place to venture on purpose. Also, why the rockets spawn there. No mention of my use of lighting, albeit subtle. Nothing irks me more on forge maps than seeing glowing balls of light. In all honestly, aside from the quick fixes above, this map is done. It's got a flow to it that I'm not about to change. And despite how "cheap" it looks to you I'm not sure I've seen any others that were visually more interesting at 1st glance. -O Update: Kill zones added to all lower level braces and extra space removed from map name. -O

  19. Yo, I'm not saying it should really fire but, only appear to be firing. They found a way to make it hump people's faces.. they surely can make it appear to be running and gunning like any normal player.

    Hologram

    It would be cool if you could send the Hologram out to appear as if it was firing. That would make it more believable in many combat situations.. Who is just going to run into a group of people without shooting? Maybe if you are firing a couple rounds as you deploy the hologram then it would shoot as well. Also, is it dumb that the holograms can go up gravity lifts? -O
