Great campaign, great firefight, but to most people the lack of new multiplayer made it not worth the price tag. It should have been a DLC, but thats beside the point, I enjoy it.

He, like most Infinity crew members, is arrogant beyond all belief, and view themselves as invincible. However, he has gotten a trip into reality during the attack on infinity (hopefully Palmer will also come back to reality in episode 9, I hate having the crew of the most important ship in the universe remind me of every ********* I met in highschool.) I do feel sorry for Miller, everyone picks on him, and he is the only one concerned when you are in danger.

In the halo games, enemies have been as diverse as possible, but it the allies category, it goes like this: marines, marines, and re-skinned ODST marines. Granted, halo 4 added shielded allies, but they also lowered the allied AI intelligence down to that of a chimp. I want more diversity in our allies. I propose this system of allies, and I would like you to give your opinion on it and allies in general. Colonial Militia: low HP threshold, around that of a grunt. Typically use pistols and rarely use DMRs, almost always take cover, and have the lowest accuracy of all allies. Troopers: HP of a jackal/ high ranking grunt. Use ARs, DMRs, and SAWs. Rarely use power weapons. Typically dodge grenades, and have an average accuracy ratio. Wear Khaki colored armor. Marines: the same as troopers, only use BRs instead of DMRs and wear green armor. ODSTs: HP slightly higher than Marines. Use BRs, DMRs, SAWs, and sticky detonators. In certain instances they use snipers, shotguns and rocket launchers. Very high accuracy, around 95 percent. Always dodge grenades, always take cover when available. Spartan fours: HP analogous to the player. Use any UNSC weapon, accuracy and behavior like ODSTs, only far more reckless. Very powerful melee attack. Elites: HP and shield strength vary, depending on rank. Use various covenant weapons. Fight very offensively.

Might just work with the 720 engine. I like the strategy involved, but find a way for players to command the AI. Also if this is gonna work, Nerf the needler. Covies destroy with those things.

She isn't the heroic type. As much as I hate to admit it, chiefs "mom" is a sociopath. She abducted children just to beat up some angry, overtaxed farmers. Cortana, however, despite being cloned from Halsey is different. If Halsey did die, that would be the final straw for chief, everyone would have been taken from him. Blue team, Keyes, Johnson, Keyes's daughter, cortana, and now Halsey? That would only end with a berserk chief and a large amount of dead bad guys in his wake.

Only for one or two levels, as fighting them is very different than fighting elites. Maybe brute slavers? They seem like the slavery type. Fighting them would be fun, but too much of it would water down the campaign.

Halo 5 Firefight Forge
PlexVanguard replied to 686 Intransigent Impurity's topic in Halo 5: Guardians
Just re-code the AI, give them subroutines to navigate forge objects and increase their usage of climbing. Got something in the way? Climb over it. (This happened in halo 3 and ODST a lot, it's not impossible.) and secondly, far cry bots do a lot of what halo bots do. Strafe, take cover, fire in bursts, melee. With the amount of funding 343 has, they could make a very good path finding script that does not conflict with the combat functions of the enemy or ally it applies to. -
In the previous games the covenant looked like warriors, with intricate armor. But in this, they look more cultist, which suits the storm.
-
At first I thought i would like her, because she has the same voice actress as fem-shep from M.E. (and don't worry, she does a great condescending jerk.) But she seems like a borderline sociopath with some serious issues. I would think an elite spartan would lead from the front, right? I mean, they have lasky for the desk work. Though she clearly respects chief. (Tallness jokes aside)

Diadact OP, Nerf next patch. In all honesty, my response to being force choked by a pig-man in fancy armor was confusion, and I made the Jedi/sith analogy quickly. But I felt diadact used it as a plot device to monologue more. Now, a boss fight in which he is throwing massive objects at you woulda been way better than an easy QTE, but as a plot device, it did its job.

In the previous installments, chief would only ever speak to deliver a one-liner or something. Now, he can't seem to shut up. Why? Did all the years in cryo make him lonely? And do you like this new character dynamic?

Heck yeah, and space combat. I want some kind of Enders game feel to a mission/gametype. And bring back hornets and falcons.

Quite honestly, I play spartan ops for the story about as much as I do homework for fun. It was not designed for competitive aspects, nor was it designed to replace firefight. (Though the only good firefight belonged to ODST.) It was designed for a small group of friends to play in a casual setting, simply having fun, and the new missions delivered the mind-numbing fustercluck spartan ops is meant for. Even on matchmaking, a good team can make the experience twice as enjoyable, and when everyone gets wrecked on legendary, then hey! Its not like you lost, you can keep playing and laughing at your misfortune. That being said, I want the communities opinion on the topic.

I dont get what the complaints are with the DMR. I can see the logic that it starts trench wars in BTB, but at the same time, if you even half know what you are doing with the BR, you can kick a DMR user's butt with its superior rate of fire.
-
A far more practical (non turret) flamethrower and the ODST smg for the UNSC. Return of some brute weapons (Mauler, spiker.) and for the prometheans, a sentinel beam, and a nailgun that fires in burts but fires a shotgun-like spread.
-
I love the terrain, I love the placing the allies. They proved that they could put AI into a map that wasn't directly programmed for it (Installation 04, reach firefight.) Custom firefight as well. You chose If you play as a spartan, elite, or ODST.

How Did The Forerunners Lose To The Flood And Thr Humans Beat Them!?
PlexVanguard replied to Baeztoberfest's topic in Halo 4
Are we talking pre-halo event humans? Or post-halo event? Well, the pre-halo event humans were fighting very small numbers of flood at a time, because they were vigilant. That being said, they encountered flood on a forerunner world, (And in trying to save the forerunners) they glassed the planet. This then prompted a massive war between both species which let the flood grow and prosper. The forerunner fleet was already decimated, so then they had trillions of flood to fight. (Also the flood makes more powerful mutations the longer they exist.) So the flood the forerunners fought were far more powerful. Simply put, they got overwhelmed. Post-halo event humans only beat the flood because they fought small numbers of very primitive flood. Even with the gravemind, they had only been able to make some mutant strains. Had there been anymore, MC would stand no chance against the flood. -
Lets be honest here, a majority of what is being discussed is usually complaining, and whats worse, complaining without offering a reasonable suggestion. So I propose an alternate topic, what we love about halo as a game, and as a franchise. What made it stick out compared to all the other games, and what makes you still play it as a devout fan.

YES, for campaign and multiplayer.
-
A halo 5 ODST would be great. As long as they made in a DLC, and not a 60 bucks retail game. (This being said, I loved ODST, and I got it half off from a friend of a friend, it really shoulda been 30 bucks.)

Dual wield, but only for pistols.

The Reaper- The Covenant Mantis
PlexVanguard replied to NextHaloGeneration's topic in Halo 5: Guardians
Just give us scarabs in campaign. And not the non-fightable kind that were in reach. -
Good luck, he posts on everything.
