  1. Not really. I posted it for people to discuss what they thought. And they did.
  2. Wow. You can still zoom in quite a bit on an item. Personally, I don't see the need to zoom in anymore than they have built in. But that's just a personal opinion. I agree that more flat areas would be nice. Some open maps would be nice. We have the map packs to look forward. Hopefully they will release some bigger, more flat maps. If you recall Halo 3 didn't start out with really big maps either. Give them time. The rotation snap is still frustrating. But I'm not sure how they could make it easier. There's limitations as to what you can do on an Xbox controller. You make some good points. There are some bugs that need working on. But overall I still think it's an improvement on previous Forge worlds. Also you might want to watch your vulgarity on this maps. The mods don't like it.
  3. The thing is there isn't any major bomb like that in Halo 4. And even in other series of games, such as COD, teamwork is still the best way to play. Teamwork doesn't always mean running around together in a pack. You can be spread out throughout the map and still work in unison. I know a lot of times in Big Team Battle my group of friends and I are rarely running side by side. But we communicate and can attack the same group of enemy from multiple directions and take them down. Or we'll call out power weapons as they spawn, call out vehicles that are up and running, and share ordinances as needed. Now the player I originally quoted was more frustrated with people running together. That horde type mentality is a great strategy for smaller maps. However it does fail when it comes to a larger map with more powerful weapons and vehicles. I.E running around in a pack on Ragnarok could get your whole team killed off pretty fast by a Mantis, Banshee, or something similar.
  4. Within in the first campaign mission after firing the AR for the first time. I was like "wow this gun sounds awesome". Throughout the campaign I was consistently wowed by the sounds of grenades, weapons, explosions. Just about everything.
  5. It could be used for strategic purposes. A plasma for vehicles and a pulse for trapping enemies. I'd use it.
  6. It seems like we're split. Half mobile, half stationary. Strafing while sniping really seems to do some damage. It gives you the ability to avoid the DMR and BR shots.
  7. Yeah. It seems to crawl at a snails pace.
  8. Yeah the Warthog sounds too whiny. Not enough power behind it. But overall the sounds are way better.
  9. I know it's a little too late for this game. It would have to be a major update. But maybe in Halo 5?
  10. Just got this idea from the Shoutbox talking to some people. And I think it would be interesting to discuss in a little more depth in the forum. I don't think it could be implemented on this system, but I think having the ability to add computer bots on the Forge would be pretty awesome. Along with the bots it you could add objective points. If that was possible it allow players to create their own versions of Spartan Ops missions. Which would be really cool. Also it would allow people without Xbox Live to play unique game types, instead of just the campaign. Again I didn't come up with the idea by myself. It was something that was being discussed in the Shoutbox. But I think it would be really cool. I know personally I'd be on that making mini-missions all day long.
  11. It's all good. My friends and I play some custom games quite a bit. So if you're ever looking for someone to try out a map or gametype. You can add my GT and I should be able to get some people to play it.
  12. It's Admiral.. not Adam. haha. No harm done. Like I said before, diving in is the best way to learn. If you have some friends who are into it already, even better. They can show you the ropes. Teach you all the tricks the Forge has to offer. I'll have to keep my eye out for some of your maps!
  13. I would be down for it, but at the moment my internet is on the fritz. Maybe some other day, or you could take snqrls advice. You could solo it.
  14. Wow. When the servers go down, the shoutbox gets violent.

    Sounds

I love what 343 did with the sounds of the game. They completely redid them. Every UNSC weapon sounds better, and not to mention they look a lot better too. The vehicles sound better. They even added random sounds they had no need to add, but that added the icing to the cake. I.E the alarms the vehicles make while they are super weak and on the verge of exploding. The explosions also sound great to. I love the new sounds of Halo. Great job 343.
  16. You're right. The artwork in this game is fantastic.
  17. All the controller layouts have the ability to flip and roll the banshee. Check out the vehicle controls of your controller layout. It's all there.
  18. I tend to do a little bit of both. I may start off stationary and go mobile pretty quick like. On Ragnarok I'll grab the Sniper, wait for someone to try to grab the Spartan Laser. Snipe them and after that I'll go and mobile. Whenever I stay stationary I tend to do pretty bad.
  19. Nicely worded. If you want game play with no team work I would suggest Regicide. Not a Team Slayer variation. Or play in the FFA playlist they have up and running for the next couple of weeks.
  20. Usually the Gauss is taken out really fast by either plasma grenades, the tank, or a plasma pistol.
  21. I should go back to my recent players and see if he did..
  22. You get the pleasure that comes with beating a game on the hardest difficulty. I'm not aware of any special unlockables.
  23. I've noticed that too. In Halo 3 the majority of the people had the mics. Everyone was using them. And granted a lot of the time they were used inappropriately but there were the players who used them to help the team. With Halo 4 very rarely do you see people with mics in an open chat, most of them are in a private chat with their friends. If you get voice chat banned odds are people are reporting you for a violation of some sort. Check to make sure your mic isn't creating feedback, try not to curse, and use it for strategic purposes.
  24. In every FPS there are a couple different ways to snipe. This applies to the Halo series as well. Including Halo 4. Are you a mobile sniper or more of a stationary sniper? Both have their perks. If you're mobile you are a harder target and have a broader view of the map. The downsides, a lot of movement means running across open spaces which can result in a death. Also it can be hard to line up a head shot while on the run. While stationary you can have a decent view of the map (depending on your location). You can line up your shots easier to get the head shot. However, once people see your location it's really easy to find you. Also their are only so many good sniper positions, and people know where those are. What kind of sniper are you?
