  1. Personally I think you decided to break into the Forge on a good game. The Forge in Halo 4 has been improved in a lot of ways. Again this is just my personal opinion. There are a lot of people who would disagree with me. Here's some basic advice, I'm no Forge expert but I enjoy tinkering with it from time to time. 1) The best way to learn is to jump into it. Dive head first and have fun. 2) It's best to go into the Forge with a general idea of what you are trying to accomplish. Are you working on a specific map for a custom game type? Or are you just trying to improve a map for a general Slayer? 3) Patience. It can be really frustrating to use the Forge. To line up all the pieces can be a pain in the butt. But worth it when the map is finished. 4) Forge with a friend. Someone who won't just delete your items, and who can build off your creative designs. I know it's not a lot, but those guidelines have really helped me. Happy Forging!
  2. In the standard playlist flood, no you shouldn't be able to. However for the sake of custom games, yes you should. You should also be able remove the last man way point in flood. I have been working on a couple of different flood based custom gametypes and those are my two biggest issues I run into.
  3. Overall good review. Those things are kind of annoying. But 1/10 is pretty low. It's a pretty good campaign. I enjoyed it.
  4. If you chose to run out by yourself, go for it. I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I myself do it a lot. But I don't want to hear you complaining when you chose to go off by yourself and you keep dying because of it. If you go off by yourself and wreak havoc, more power to ya.
  5. I'm with everyone else. I can't find anything on your profile. Post a link on youtube?
  6. I couldn't agree more. When I play with my friends, or a group of people who use team work we usually do good. And have a lot of fun. The only time we'll lose is against another team employing team work. Even then its a close game and a lot of fun. I just never thought I'd hear someone shout that.
  7. I was playing a game of Halo the other night. During the game a player yelled out "How *bleepin* dumb who uses strategy in Halo! I can't kill him when he hides behind cover when to recharge his shield!" Shortly after yelling that he followed up with this beauty of a line. "I can't kill them when they are working as a team. How *bleepin* stupid. This game is dumb when people ruin it by using strategy and teamwork." Shortly after that he quit out of the game. Now I find that absurd. I did my best to remember his quotes but either way you get the gist of what he was saying. That strategy and teamwork ruin the game. I can't fathom why you would think that those two things ruin Halo. You're playing Big TEAM Infinity Slayer. The name implies you're on a team, and therefore should use team work. As for the strategy statement, how is that ruining Halo? And I didn't mention this earlier, the other player was NOT being sarcastic. He was very upset about it all.
  8. There are some tweaks that could be done with the weapon. But overall they did a pretty good job.
  9. Vehicles don't really do much damage anymore. With the load outs people can have plasma pistols and stickies. I remember in previous Halos you could do really good with a Scorpion even with a Warthog you could wreak some havoc. Now though, not so much. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against load outs, I just wish that the Scorpion was stronger.

    Scorpion

It's only featured on one level. And it just seems sluggish. The majority of the time it's used it's blown up fairly quick. I understand that when people see a tank they want to take it down. But it would be nice if it was a little stronger so that it could be used more effectively.
  11. Is anyone else tired of playing Exile every time you play Big Team Infinity Slayer?!

I really like Exile. But I'm going to have to agree with Vitamin PWN. They get old really fast.

@Azaxx when you destroy on the map, it will never get old!

  12. It would be pretty cool if there was a way to easily switch between custom games and Forge. The majority of the time I use the Forge it's to make a map for a custom game. And it's a hassle having to save and quit the forge, go to custom games and start and play the custom game. Especially when the map has to be tweaked. I'll spend a good amount of time switching game types. I think it would be really handy if there was a way to start a Forge map. And edit the custom game settings right there in the Forge. And be able to start the new custom game from that menu as well. That way if something is wrong with the spawn points or something like that, you'll be able to fix the problem without having to quit the game. Load up the forge, select the map. Do the minor adjustments needed. Save and exit the Forge map, go back to custom games and restart. It just takes a lot of time, especially with all the loading screens in between. It's not a major problem, but I think it would be really cool to release in the future.
  13. A lot of times I feel that way about Halo 4 maps. Especially Exile. The moment I spawn I'm being shot. In Spartan Ops I don't know how many times I spawn with an invisible Elite right behind me.
  14. I would like that. You make a good point, different grenade styles have their different uses. As long as the standard grenade loadout stayed at 2 per person. It would be pretty cool.
  15. I couldn't have worded it any better myself.
  16. Am I the only one who finds the spawn points in this game really frustrating. In campaign you get really bad checkpoints which results in terrible spawn points. In Spartan Ops the spawn points are constantly in the middle of a group of enemies. So there's no way to survive and it will constantly spawn you there. Very rarely in Spartan Ops does it spawn you at a secondary spawn point. That's pretty frustrating. In War Games the primary and secondary spawns are almost always overran with enemies. I can be a little more understanding when it comes to War Games because you're playing with real people, and you can't ever predict what they're going to do. But in Spartan Ops and Campaign how can the spawn points be so consistently bad? I know it's too late now for them to make any major changes. Maybe in the upcoming DLC and future Spartan Ops a little more thought can be put into the spawn points.
  17. Repeat mutes are usually done because of three reasons: 1) Music. So many people just play music through their mic and it's obnoxious. 2) Echo. A lot of times the mic is too close to the speakers and you hear everything twice. It's annoying really 3) Obnoxious. Kids getting on yelling and cursing will usually be muted. Those are the reasons I mute people. If you're worried about being muted too many times and eventually banned for a week, do what I do. I only use my mic when in a Xbox Live party with my friends. When not in a party I don't usually plug my mic in. You still get the same gaming experience. Very rarely do I have a mic in when I'm not in Xbox Live party.
  18. I would hazard a guess and say Big Team Objectives will be coming out in the future. Remember, the game hasn't even been out a month yet. Still plenty to release.
  19. I don't think this story line would fit in the campaign story line. I get making Spartan Ops separate from the rest of the game. Even with multiplayer on Spartan Ops, it wasn't that fun. Each chapter lasted like 10 minutes on legendary with 4 player co-op. By myself it doesn't take much longer than that on legendary. I just think they should have made the Episodes longer. Maybe had some different objectives besides pushing random buttons. I did really like how in Episode Three they integrated the multiplayer maps. That was pretty cool. I'm not usually a fan of that, but it worked pretty good.
  20. I love the concept of Spartan Ops. I was really excited when I first found out about it. However, the first time I played I was let down. Maybe my expectations were too high? We're now on the 4th Episode and I'm still not wowed by it. The story line is pretty cool, it has great potential. But the game play is lacking. The game play is just so bland. They put in you in the middle of a bunch of enemies and say 'Go'. It doesn't take any skill to play, you can die an infinite times and doesn't matter. There's no reason that everyone doesn't beat each episode on Legendary because there is little skill involved. Another frustrating thing are the spawn points. I don't know how many times I spawn surrounded by enemies. A lot of time invisible Elites or having a Wraith staring me down. The missions seem to drag on too. When you finally think it's over more drop pods are put down. It seems like the story line wasn't thought out enough, and to compensate they just added a mess load of enemies. Again I like the concept of Spartan Ops. It has great potential. Am I the only one who feels this way?
  21. I wouldn't say that it makes the game easier. It just makes for a different style of game play. Makes you rethink your strategies.
  22. I'm still working on the map. Even with the last man waypoint I think the map will be a lot of fun. I still am trying to figure out a way to have the "Seeker" spawn later than the "Hiders". I think I'm forced to make a maze in order to have the "Hiders" have time to hide.
  23. When I play with my friends we tend to do that. Stick together so the other team can't pick us off one by one. We don't really stay in one area, we move around the map. It's a great strategy. But I'm not sure if I'd call that camping.
  24. Keeping control of an area is different than camping in my books. In most cases that takes a lot of teamwork. Where camping is generally done by one person in a little corner or room.
