I'm not a camper. Like I said in my post, I don't have the patience for it. I just don't know if it's going to become a commonplace acceptable thing to do.

On Smaller maps, like Haven, camping can be much more effective. I don't see many people camping on larger maps like Ragnarok or Longbow.

See I'm the same way with Longbow. Some games I do terrible and have a negative K/D, and other times I do great. But I'd rather play Longbow over Exile. Just because Exile gets played so much. And the camping on that map can get pretty bad. And I'm not against camping, but it certainly changes the feel of the game.

It seems to me that more and more players are camping in the Halo matches. Sitting in a corner with a shotgun waiting for someone to walk by. Whenever this happens to me and I get killed I get pretty upset. It seems like a "cheap" thing to do, or something that is just flat out annoying. But I started thinking. Is it really cheap, is it really a novice move, or is it an actual strategy? In past games it was always considered a novice move (newb, noob) move. In other gaming franchises it's also considered a noob move. However in this Halo, with the upgraded armor mods, can it be called a strategy? You can have the active camo armor ability so you're invisible to passerby, which certainly aids in camping. Also it does take a certain amount of patience to sit in one spot and wait for people. I'll admit, I've tried to camp, and I just can't seem to do it. I get to impatient. So I'm not sure what to think about camping. Is it becoming a strategy in online shooters, or is it something that is truly a noob tool? I'm interested to see what others think.

When Halo 4 first came out it seemed like very Big Team Infinity Slayer match took place on Ragnarok. I know a lot of people liked the map because it was a classic. There has been a version of Ragnarok in every Halo game. That's common knowledge. Within the first week of the release, I had grown sick and tired of the map. Every single match was played on Ragnarok. However in the past week or so. Maybe just the past couple of days, I've noticed that the new preferred map is Exile. I'm not sure why. To me Exile is just an overall obnoxious map. The majority of the time you spawn in the cross hairs of an enemy player. Or you just get blown up by the Scorpion. Am I the only one who is wanting something new? Maybe to play Longbow on occasion or Meltdown, I'd even like to play on Vortex every once in a while. I know at the moment there are only a few maps available for Big Team matches, but am I the only one who isn't a huge fan of Exile.

@Craig, That's what we were planning on doing. Making a maze, but that seemed like a lot of work for little reward. So we were hoping to find a way to have a delayed spawn point. Good advice thought! @SweatyBagels: Thanks for the heads up. That is a big disappointment. I didn't even think of the last man waypoint. That's a big bummer.

Hi there. I'm trying to make a custom Halo 4 map and game type. Basically my goal is to make a playable Hide And Seek type game. My thought is to mod the standard Flood gametype. I'll Forge a map with plenty of places to hide. My only problem is: Is it possible to have the alpha flood spawn later than everyone else. I want to give the non-flood players 30 seconds to "hide" before the Flood enter the map. Is that doable? If so, how?
