  1. The thought would be interesting although I feel there shouldn't be a sequel... I wouldn't mind another ODST as long as it's done well.
  2. Getting campers is another one of those exceptions. I don't mind if people are camping and someone decides to spam them simply because they're camping...
  3. Okay okay, people seem to be gettting the wrong idea here so let me explain. 1. This isn't a problem persay, it's, as the title says, A PET PEEVE of mine which I wanted to share. Yes, it does come with the game or any FPS in that matter. 2. I'M NOT against the use grenades as a whole. I'm just annoyed when like 8 of them are thrown at once and can't dodge them because of the sheer amount of them. This was just to vent my frustration at the practice, and NOT POINTING OUT A PROBLEM.
  4. I'm not mad at the use of grenades. I just get annoyed at the fact that sometimes 2 or three people just throw all of them like it's no tomorrow and sometimes, there's no way to dodge them. That I understand. I do that sometimes. There's nothing wrong with that at all. It's the 4 or 5 grenades that get thrown at me and my teammates and it seems like the room or hallway literally exploded. It's when it's nearly impossible to dodge those things that really grinds my gears. Like I said, grenade use is fine, it's part of the game. It's the spamming that's annoying.
  5. In the FPS genre, Grenade Spamming is my BIGGEST pet peeve. It's VERY annoying to have an entire team just chuck all their grenades at you and cross their fingers hoping to get a kill. I've seen this A LOT in my couple of years in ppaying Halo over Xbox Live. Throwing ONE grenade and killing you while your one shot is fine. So is throwing one before you die to get your opponent one shot. But throwing ALL of your grenades when someone is right in front of you, in perfect range for you to shoot... no... doesn't fly by me. This has annoyed me since Reach... not trying to intentionally insult anyone who does it but just expressing my thoughts on such a practice. Now, there are some exceptions to this like trying to kill someone around a corner or in a building from a distance but still... it's annoying... (Edit) Because people seem to keep thinking this I'm going to state that I don't hate grenade usage. I use grenades as well therefore if that was the case, there would be hypocrisy in this whole thing. It's when people don't know how to use them and just chuck them. I should've made that clear and I do apologize for the mixup of thoughts.
  6. Ignore this. My phone was being stupid and posted the same thing twice.
  7. I game because I not only have nothing else better to do at the moment, but it allows me to express some of my creativity (thanks to map editors) and just go wild with no real consequences. I can create something simple or go all out and make a really complex. It's also another way to meet new people and be able to just have a good time playing games together. I would name more but I don't wanna drag this out. XD
  8. Glitches eh...? I got one. In Halo CE, on Assault on the Control room on Co-op, have you and a buddy get in ghosts towards the end of the mission. When you reach the door that opens the door to the control room have one of you jump out. Just when it opens drive have whoever is in the ghost drive in. If done correctly, you should see in the cutscene Chief dying, the ghost that was there and another chief walking to the terminal but spazzing out in the process. I've only done this once in the original game, not anniversary ... but enjoy.
  9. I don't really have a best or worst since I can do pretty well in games but I have my least favorites... Ragnarock (Crossmap DMR..... enough said), Complex (Same reason plus campers in and on top if the middle building), Vortex (It's just a bit awkward to play on in my opinion) and Despair (I hate this map with a passion because of its spawning).
  10. Enjoying life as it comes.

      HappehNinja

Hehe... as it comes. Joke, joke.

      Indeed.

  11. A good map is not only fun to play on but also is pleasing to the eye. Weather it's using the terrain of the forge maps in neat and unique ways or making a map with the forge pieces look like a map that would be in a Halo game. Good maps also have good spawning. If your map has really predicable spawning, it makes it REALLY easy to spawn kill other players and that's not fun at all. Be unique with your creations and use the materials in Forge in a way no else has thought of yet. Happy Forging dude.
  12. We all have had our derp moments. For those of you who may not know what "derp moment" is, it's basically a moment where you did something dumb weather it was intentional or not. So, if you feel comfortable, share one of your derp moments. Just keep it appropriate please. I'll share one myself: A couple summers ago, I was at the beach with my dad. I had just texted a friend of mine and put my phone in one of the pockets of my baithing suit. After about ten or so minutes, I decided to go swim in the water. So I ran in and started swimming. After about a minute, I feel something heavy in my pocket. I thought it was a rock and pulled it out.... it was my phone. I went back to shore and told NY dad. Of course he laughed but not in a mean way. Looking back on the whole thing, I too find that a bit funny. XD

    The Decline of Halo

Decline... not what I would use... it's more like Halo is losing its identity... it has slowly evolved into the "modern day FPS" with its custom loadouts and kill came and all the other stuff to go with it. In my opinion, the loadouts worked in Reach. Everyone had access to the same loadouts (unless you were playing Invasion) and the armor abilities changed the game up a bit, offeri ng new ways to strategically take out your opponents either using camo to sneak up on them. Or pick jet pack and drop down on your enemies in hopes to surprise them a bit. But Halo 4 has made things a bit generic for the FPS genre. I have a mixed opinion on the game and won't claim that it's better or worse than the other Halos. Overall, Halo 4 isn't bad persay, it's more like disappointing.
  14. Oh man... where to begin responding... Nowadays, people can't even state their opinion without someone slandering them for not feeling the same way as them. It's what really is depriving society in general of their character. It's sad. Really. If people were to be more accepting of other people's opinions then maybe some character can return. There'll always be those immature people who think they're always right or can't take a different opinion. Personally, I blame what gaming has evolved into for this loss of character. What was " getting your friends together and having a grand ol time playing games" has turned into "Cussing people out and being mad bro". This stuff makes me wanna stop playing video games altogether. Why? Cause it's not fun. Getting frustrated pretty much ruins the game for anyone. People love to gossip. It's in their nature(for most people anyway). When someone hears something like "So and so is leaving this person", "This person did this", "She's leaving", ect, they make it into a big deal and act like if the president stopped by. But honestly, most of it doesn't even need to be said (or posted in this case). And as for people getting those who feel that Halo 4 sucks... I have no words to say... at least without repeating myself. I may not know of the "Glory Days" of this fourm, but I agree with you tenfold. We need to get over ourselves, stop nitpicking other people for small things and try to become this awesome community where you can have a great time talking to people and not being cursed out for expressing your feelings towards something.
  15. Well, what ended up happening was when I selected a new specialization, the game reset me to level 50 and acted as if I never completed. But upon completing a game it put me back at level 60 and I was able to select a new one... so problem solved I guess... although that was weird...
  16. So I just completed my Wetwork Specialization and was deciding which one to do next. I picked Pioneer and it reset my Wetwork. What's going on!? Why do I have to do it again? I put so much time into doing it the first time and now I have to go through with it again?
  17. Firefight was pretty boring and got old quick. Spartan Ops gave you a little more to do but it unfortunately suffers the same repetitive-ness that Firefight also has. Spartan Ops doesn't do anything really different. Ultimately, youre doing the same things over and over in each mission. But I'd gladly take Spartan Ops over Firefight since, like I said, there's more to do and doesn't feel like too much o a chore to do.
  18. Anyone who has played video games long enough may have had this happen to you at one point or another. You're playing a game and you're at a very tough level or boss or trying to accomplish an achievemwnt. However, you keep failing over and over and over. But, then you start to get better. Eventually, you are able to clear most of the level or boss, or get a lot of points but just miss your goal. You feel empowered that you can become successful. But soon, you start to do worse. What was simple before now has become a challenge. You keep dying or losing so much and you don't know how or why... all of that skill you had moments ago is now gone.... when this happens, it's known as the Gamer's Curse. So, if it has happened to you, how many times has this curse plagued you?
  19. I love Borderlands 2. I put hours into it when I'm at my cousin's house. Oh man. I've been wanting to play an RPG like game for quite some time and this game fulfills that want. Even though there are a few annoying parts in the game, I still come back to it every time I get a chance. I recommend anyone who is a fan of RPG's and FPS's.
  20. Recently, I've been doing so much recollecting on my past experiences with the Halo franchise. From playing the Library on Combat Evolved to the countless hours put into Halo 2's multiplayer... oh man. So many good memories. So now I ask you, what are some of your past experiences with Halo? These can be very old to even 3 seconds ago. I'll even share my own... Halo: CE Getting through the Library after dying like 23 times. I never wanted to replay that level. Ever. Playing the most epic Capture the Flag game with 3 of my friends. It can be summed up like this: So... many... explosions.... XD Halo 2 Lockout.... enough said... Dual Wielding! I loved this feature so much. Especially when I had 2 Brute Plasma Rifles (which needs to be brought back). Halo: Reach The amount of maps I made in Forge. Jenga, Garbage Day, Hot Pursuit.... these put an interesting spin on how Halo was played. Even if they were over-played. Halo 4 I was in a ghost on Ragnarock and I was boosting into a person. My ghost ran over a rock and I barrel rolled into the guy while I was in midair and stuck the landing. -u-
  21. Today's a good day for some pizza. :)

  22. XD I'd change 6. to Campers Camping and 11. to Ordinance dropping.
  23. 1. You mentioned nothing that relates the game to CoD. 2. I will say there are a couple "CoD-like" aspects but I can assure you, it's nothing like it. Sure there may be Kill Cams (which I think is a nice addition) and the customizing of classes but there are so many things which separates Halo from Call of Duty franchise.
  24. Camo is annoying to deal with but it's not over powered in the slightest. It's a way of going around undetected. At least to those who don't notice you right away or don't have Promethean Vision.
