  1. DMR / Pistol / Fags DMR / Plasma Pistol / Stickies I will never spawn with the noob *** BoltShot, I'll keep my K/D where it's at withouth it, if I wanted to raise it and feel like a nub, I would.
  2. How do you have so many posts and still know nothing? It DOES NOT require you to fire, there is a button called "swap weapon" that nullifies the firing action. That's is what everyone is referencing if you start the firing action it MUST BE COMPLETED. This would cause the player to drastically have less shots as they'd waste shots all the time. I don't know how many times I hear it charge and get null'ed out. Doesn't help it charges to the point of 1 shot kill, in a second...
  3. I'm surprised Xbox doesn't do this more often, the ability to assign buttons would make all games better. The problem I have is they broke Bumper Jumper. When they were testing Bumper Jumper, they had left trigger as the armor ability and X as grenade. I would freaking LOVE THIS to return, but that won't happen. As Jet Pack is one of the strongest armor abilities, you have to train yourself to crawl to play bumper jumper now.
  4. Do you also understand one of the biggest complaints from COD is how the lag compensation works and helps more than it hurts. I really dont see a problem with how the DMR performs, if I miss "I physically missed the shot" If something like this was implemented into the system, a MISSED SHOT would hit it's target. How so? They MADE money on all of this, they wouldn't have made a dime on dedicated servers. It's business, just understand that. You were going to buy the game either way, dedicated servers would just KEEP you playing it. They got their initial money, all map packs etc, are just bonuses if you buy them.

  6. I have to ask, was that honestly a response because you know they added BRAVO, to the team or was that just random? The goal isn't to turn the GAME into MLG, it's to help provide the MLG community and the Competitive side of gaming a voice. As they currently do not have one. There basic game-play I honestly don't see changing, but maybe a few minor tweaks. BRAVO was acquired to as he's been in MLG for over a decade and had strong standing within the community. 343 knows they need to find a good balance and he'll have the contacts for good tests as well. I don't expect things to happen fast, but I expect to see either a ranked or MLG gametype in the future. It will consist of mostly forge maps, as currently good forge maps are having lag issues (another reason he's in the mix). The competitive market needed a voice and I got a very strong and respectable one. That's all I was stating, but any GOOD changes in the MLG variant, I honestly won't expect to translate into basic gameplay as this rarely happens.
  7. I don't have a problem with it being one shot, but the range needs to cut by at least 1/2 if not more, beyond that it should only take 1/2 shield not full. Current kill distance is 7-8 body lengths, while lunge distance is only 3, while taking full shields down is outside the damage zone of a shotgun. Yeah, I said OUTSIDE the damage zone. Still random at that distance but at almost 12-14 body lengths the boltshot can still make you 1 shot, WTF? Could miss, but can hit. It should miss period at that range. This is a get out of jail free card more often then not. "He's one shot!" Guy rounds corner to clean kill (full health) "SOB! THIS GUN NEEDS TO GO!" <-- that should not happen with a spawning weapon

  9. Never had a problem killing someone and pickup up their weapon. Granted if you kill a sniper at range and can't sprint to his position, I agree. The respawn time is roughly 10 seconds. Plenty of time to cover ground to get weapons. The vanish time is designed so the person can GET their own drops very often unless a perfect respawn location. Keep it the way it is or power weapons will dominate Inf Slayer games.
  10. This is the biggest reason for stating the boltshot is OP. I am sick of breaking a person's shield to have his only step 1 step back behind a well to step back out with a single shot bolt shot to kill me full shield. The other counter to bolt should is to drastically reduce the motion sensor distance. If the person can't time the charge, the weapon starts to lose it's OP ability. You can see people almost the length of a hallway, if it was only 5-7 body lengths the person may not have the time to swap and charge. *Just make it an map spawn or ordnance drop, FIXED*
  11. I really hope you weren't agreeing with him. Radar makes the game more skill based? How so a 1 vs 1, the person with a grenade wins, if neither have a grenade then the person with the boltshot wins or either of them move and the game stalls. The only time it's completely about skill in same weapons vs one another with radar, other than than radar is crap. SIDE NOTE: had to come back into work to finish something and I looked around. I can't take anyone's feedback that has the boltshot in their top TOD so the original guy you quoted is trash. Radar promotes skill, find SOMEONE on the MLGPRO forums that agrees with that statement. You're more likely to find pigs flying in a V formation.

  13. These are completely related when you don't have a motion tracker, the biggest argument people supply is the fact they don't know where people are. If you or your teammates cannot speak (no mic) this drastically changes how a game is played without a motion tracker. One team without mic would get dominated by a team with mics and no motion tracker. As you said, it helps you know what is coming and allows you to be more aware of your surrounding. <-- This is what drives me crazy. I am sick and tired of Halo 4 because the pre-grenades you run into because everyone always knows you're coming. Halo 4 with the crazy smart motion tracker slows the game down and forces people into boltshot close quarters and drags out games. The majority of the Inf. Slayer games I played last night, the team winning simply stopped moving around the map, they squatted in the corner with boltshots, and waited. People say this would happen all the time in none radar games, but which it would but you'd maybe kill me once then I can change my attack, which isn't the case as the radar will notify the person i changed. I'd be happy if they dropped motion tracker to 10 body lengths but seeing almost 30 to 35 is crazy, not to mention the perk that pushes it to almost 45.
  14. We all like discussion, so please provide some of these reasons? I have honestly never heard a good reason for this because "I don't have a mic so I need to know where people are." Last week of work and it's slow around the office, i'm just looking for basic discussion, and I wasn't stating where I stand, if you take a poll with having it on or off from an MLG standpoint, OFF would win by a landslide. I'd roughly estimate 95% want it off, but I can see why the casual gamer wants it on because it HELPS with the basics.
  15. I understand but growing up with MLG and running dozens of local tournaments, removing radar/motion tracker is the biggest request for the competitive gamers. There is honestly NO REASON for it, why should you know where I am?
  16. If you've been a fan for 11 years, you must understand why MLG must have itss own set of game options, the biggest being radar. The only way a better player can honestly manhandle another person without a massive crutch is removing radar (PERIOD). I have been playing CE since day one and the first setting me and my friends all learned was to TURN OFF MOTION TRACKER! It trains and teaches you to play a game like a radar ***** and you don't learn how to out play people. I can think of only three things MLG really needs to change. 1. No radar or motion tracker 2. Bolt shot nerfed, gone or becomes an ordinary drop (map drop) 3. Inviz would have to be removed as an option
  17. Players that attempt to OUT PLAY the other team or person, that don't use crutches such as radar, etc. Me vs you, with nothing to help you along the way, the better person wins. If you think I am over here but kill you from over here instead, that means I outplayed you, yet radar will save your ***. I'm so pissed Slayer Pro is gone!
  18. What I am looking for to change Halo 4 back into a game me and my friends enjoy to play, that is customs. 1. Instant Spaws removed, the worst gametype currently because of this is Oddball, fun gametype but horrible simply because of this. Spawn, throw two grenades, die, repeat and all said and done one player can throw roughly 16 grenades a minute. 2. Bolt needs to become a weapon drop or nerved, PERIOD 3. Radar needs to be drastically reduced or gone all together. I am sick of getting pre-naded all the ******* time or even out player a person on a map only to get screwed over by the map. Halo has never been about, head to head 1 vs 1 games, it's about OUT PLAYING the other guy which means movement on map and deception. A common phrase my gamer group uses is "Predictable!" as you know exactly what the other person is doing and thinking and they get dominated. AGAIN, radar screws this up as the notice they've F*d up and instantly duck. *very update they took away Slayer Pro this week, only fun Slayer gametype* 4. More symmetrical maps, as why on god's earth do they have a symmetrical map "HAVEN" yet they spawn the teams on OPEN and CLOSED side, not Red and Blue? Things like this is what makes me shake my head and wonder what moron thought of this... 5. More maps that have no vehicles on them
  19. NO reason to rebirth a thread that is two weeks old, everyone clearly knows it's OP by now. Also, it should be converted into a map drop or ordinance if they don't nerf it. The only time I use it is when I stop a flag in their base and their play drops one for me. Then it's an easy 4-6 kills with it.

  21. The only way to fix this would be to push the re-spawn time to 5 second, then push the vanish time up. All that would do is noob the game up even more because you're power weapon would then be in the OTHER TEAM's possession. I don't see a problem with the current system. I die, I lose my weapon, pretty simple. I personally this this DOESN'T help bad kids, as they can't keep picking up their own power when if killed at range. DMR is a power weapon on its own so just spawn with a power weapon:) I have a bigger problem with this instant spawn bullcrap.
  22. Being original is the hardest part now that so many have their own twist and have had them for so long. I have a buddy that is sponsored by Machinia and still has a hard time getting 100 views a video.
  23. I love how people try to explain all this, lol. You're connection be the best of the best, it can even be fiber and lag. The reasoning is all the nodes your system must connect with when connection with everyone in the lobby. Just because you have 100MB/100MB means nothing when after the first connection hub it downgrades to 50MB/50MB, then it hits that the bad one and drops to 3MB/3MB. You can hope for Fiber all you want but I've worked for a few different IPS providers and the US goal is to reach FULL FIBER rings by 2020. So until that point in time, if you aren't connecting to a group within your own fiber network you can expect some form of lag. If you're running 100MB/100MB but have a high % of jitter shifts you'll never host. If you don't want lag, go find friends and LAN, then again all the new gamers have no idea what a LAN is nor what human-interaction means.
