  1. Yeah, that's what I'm on about. 99% of the time I don't play with a mic or people I know, so that helped loads. Another thing I really miss is being able to quickly see how many kills/deaths I have during the game. Now I'll only know I have 15 kills and however many points, but no clue how many deaths I've had and whether to adapt my playstyle a bit midgame. Not sure I'm a fan of the 'multilevel radar' either. A good H3/H2 player could tell whether the opponents were above or below just through map knowledge and giving everyone that information lowers the skill gap a little.
  2. The flashing icons that let you know when your teammates were shooting? Just feels harder to play on your own as that was a massive piece of information I relied on to get me kills in previous games. What other small changes have people noticed?
  3. People who have some clue what they're doing charge it before becoming visible, dumbass. You're right, if people ran into the open and waited for it to charge while in clear sight of an enemy then they'd never get a kill with it.
  4. Can they only have 8 or however playlists at the same time? Halo 3's playlist setup was much better.
  5. I voted Promethean vision, but after using it for a little bit the Hologram is my favourite. It's not as frustrating to play against as say, camo, so nobody will call it overpowered, but I honestly feel like it wins me more gunfights than any other ability I've used.
  6. Can 343 do anything like Action Sack on Halo 3? Another really fun variant that came up in that playlist quite often was one called Tug of War I believe, where you gained a point for a kill but lost one for dying. Fiesta Slayer was awesome as well.
  7. I agree with most of what you said, but grenades are still massively important. A well timed prenade is going to win you a LOT of gunfights. I didn't even realise for quite a while that grenades didn't resupply automatically and was getting a bit frustrated never having them. Now I've unlocked the perk the majority of my kills come from chucking a grenade at someone's feet and cleaning them up with a headshot.
  8. I'd love to see Foundry, The Pit, Guardian, Last Resort (Zanzibar), Construct (although jetpacks would probably make it horrible), and Epitaph. So anything from Halo 3 really. Not a fan of those forgeworld-style maps like in Reach, but is that all we're going to get with the mappacks all having been announced already?
  9. I find this as well. The prevalence of the DMR means that the long distance opponents you could ignore on H3 will kill you within a couple of seconds now in Halo 4. I feel like being as aggressive as I was in Halo 3 is just getting me killed a lot, so I've tried to tone it down a bit. Slightly related, but are killcams broken in this game? Only occasionally do I even see one when I die, and when I do they seem to be very jerky/laggy. If they were fixed then I'd have a much better idea from which areas I keep getting shot long range from.

This isn't a 'OMG REGICIDE IS SO **** LOL' thread as I actually enjoy playing it, but I've had a few games like this one tonight and wondered what sort of scores other people have got and still ended up losing. Also, any news on normal Slayer/Rumble Pit returning? The ideal situation for me would be to get that back and to shove regicide in with KOTH and Oddball.
