Great suggestions guys. I know they want to keep it simple, though I used to play a game called Tanarus years ago, which had a map-making program. It was bare bones compared to Forge, and rather simple, but you could do some amazing things with the limitations, and you could import and create your own textures. Creating weather conditions, day/night, dusk/dawn, fog, rain, wind, would be nice, as well as including other common objects found in the campaign and Spartan Ops. I left out many of my obscure thoughts and tried to keep it realistic (one obscure idea is to allow us to manipulate the dimensions of objects to an extent--at least blocks, bridges/platforms and natural. At times I want to create bridges connections that don't line up due to terrain, and twisting a bridge or block would come in handy. And with rocks, it would be nice to manipulate the dimensions for various purposes).
One thing I forgot to mention, and this is perhaps most relevant, is in the H4 Forge they removed the monitor scope and the precision object moving options. That is a bummer, esp when trying to make special setups with overhanging objects that pushes the monitor view way out. My solution to this issue is to log in a guest and keep the guest close in while I line things up.
I agree with the magnets suggestion. I would love to be able to place magnet markers on objects manually, and inactivate some if need be--they are not always set to where I need them to be, though I must say they are perhaps the best improvement to the Forge in my opinion. Thanks, 343.
