  1. I've dabbled in forge every now n then. it just takes forever to get anything substantial done solo so I go back to war games lol. I've had some ideas for maps, just a matter of knowing which pieces to use and fine tuning their placement gt: NAMUH38
  2. I'd be willing to give up throwing grenades to throw my sword
  3. guerrilla: dmr assault rifle frag thruster pack firepower dexterity allows for a near seamless transition between various ranges. I've found thruster to be the ability that has the most versatility. whether it be short or long range, attacking or defending, chasing or retreating, combat or just map control. doppelgänger: dmr boltshot plasma hologram aa efficiency sensor here you would rely on the hologram for both offense and defense. you see where enemies are on the radar before they see you, and you can get a general idea of their direction of travel. use the hologram as a decoy and flank around, those seconds it fools the enemy are precious in halo 4. duck around a corner and a lot of enemies will follow you. that second or 2 of time they can't see you, send a hologram out. either back toward the enemy, more often than not making them spin around to attack it and expose their back to you. or send it away from the enemy at a wider angle than you would be traveling along so they see the hologram first
  4. bump. I wanna keep this noticeable in the topic list
  5. that's just uncalled for and childish
  6. if it were to be present during a match feeding you useful info, I think it would have to take up the tactical and/or support package

    sprint jump

I know a lot of you know how to spring jump. I found that if you hit sprint in midair then jump right when you touch down you'll jump with a burst of forward momentum. it feels like it's about as fast as just sprinting, but it allows you to maintain your retical
  8. What if each players spartan had their own AI attached to it? Ann the AI would change to suit the player based on medals earned. it could comment on the progress of commendations, challenges, or if you performed particularly well during a match.
  9. I won't say melee is dead, but it's definitely more challenging. that's where I see more split second decisions decide the winner
  10. something I forgot to mention about firepower: take dexterity with it, those 2 feel tailor made for eachother. then you can easily jump between short to mid range weapons and mid to long range. just be aware of the initial equip animation when switching to your second primary
  11. use firepower n equip the ar as secondary. works wonders
  12. I think it works great as is. it's become my aa of choice now. it is a great counter to any close quarters weapon. I've actually used it as I was gettin hit with a hammer n the shockwave knocked me too high in the air for him to hit me again. timing is everything with it tho. also good for long range dmr battles. pay attention to when your shields pop and just before they can squeeze off the headshot thrust out of the way around a corner. most ppl will reload and keep an eye on your position cause they know you're almost dead. jump out n kill em while they reload

  14. a power weapon is only a power weapon in capable hands. just how it should be
  15. I think the sword was too easy to use in previous halo games. it takes a certain finesse to use now. ya can't just run up on ppl n expect to win anymore jus cause you got a sword
  16. it doesn't make your grenades any stronger, just increases their radius a bit. I find it most useful when using pulse grenades, you can more reliably lock down a route. as for the damage reduction, it's not game breaking. it simply lets you take one more grenade depending on the placement of the previous ones. and then you can still be one shot. it encourages ppl to wanna use options they may have otherwise overlooked, one of the best being teamwork. besides, you shouldn't just run into a room even if you chucked grenades ahead of you. I for one can dance around pretty effectively in close quarters
  17. the elevation indicators are welcome IMO. I remember in halo 2 there was something similar that I think a lot of ppl overlooked. the red dots on the radar were slightly different whether they were above or below you. maybe it was just my knowledge of the maps tricking me, but whenever I relied on it to tell me their elevation I was never wrong
  18. I've actually been thinkin about something similar since like a week after starting. create classes of sorts, give each one power weapons (just cause they're fun to use), maybe give everyone overshields, and go at it. I think for it to be great it would need it's own level(s)
  19. I second showing up on radar just got the idea of giving the retical itself some movement. you are, after all, holding ancient alien technology in your hand that's expending half it's payload in one burst
  20. guerrilla loadout: dmr ar frag hologram firepower dexterity good at what it's name implies. pick a fight, run around the corner. at least one enemy follows, thinning their numbers. stop n send the hologram out, 80% of ppl try to assassinate the hologram. leaving their backs wide open to me. the other 20% shoot the hologram, giving me precious seconds to start unloading on them
  21. thank you, learned a lot from these forums so far. only complaint being someone should make a complaints section that instabans whoever clicks it lol. jk, that's a lil harsh...
