I hope if an mlg playlist goes into rotation, there will be no armor abilities. At all. Not even as a pick up. if its set up right it will be very enjoyable I think and competitive. has anyone gone to the mlg site and seen what they are working on or anything? I haven't and I am curious what they are working on and if they are getting a playlist and what it will include ect.

yeah this "rank" system is garbage. I thought it was always great segregating the playlists into ranked and unranked. you could go in with randos and relax with social and play some outrageous games that were fun. such as action sack (team stickies and dodgeball anyone?). or go battle it out with a good team in ranked. sweating on those 49-49 games and trying your little heart out to try to get that next rank. good times.

This. Agreed and good thinking. although the dmr would have one more shot required then, it still has a greater range than the br. it would be alittle more balanced, and I think that would be fair.

Halo has never been about the multiplayer? wow? I question if you have even been paying attention to anything really since you were born and follwed halo. sure the story is great and all but it wouldn't have gained enough popularity among people. it was h2 mm and mlg that made it very well known and h3 mm. sure some people would pay 60 dollars for a campaign. However, the multiplayer provides that replayabilty. no multiplayer or a crappy one = no halo because it wouldn't sell enough. I'm so sick of people spewing this diarrhea out of their mouths saying halo needed to evolve. I would assume that most of the people saying that are the under 18 crowd and heard it from someone else. and anyone over 18 should be ashamed of themselves especially for not even trying to defend this game. we provide so many reasons why we have problems with things and in response all we get is "halo 4 is the greatest halo ever" or "the games fine" or "100,000 people is not a bad population". at least try and defend it and have a well thought out and constructed argument. not just "your an idiot" . why don't you read through the replys and understand what people are talking about as opposed to just jumping in on the latest page with the latest reply. seriously though this game has not evolved one bit. it expanded on armor abilities from halo reach despite alot of fans disliking them and bungie having problems with them. halo 4 = reach 2. why am I here if I don't like the game? I do play it, I just don't enjoy it as much as previous titles. there are problems with armor abilites and other things. convince me forum, convince me that I am just a grumpy person stuck in his old ways and that this truly is the greatest halo ever created, dispite armor abilites, perks, and a low population and this halo is very competitive dispite no ranking system.

No. the stats don't show anything.All it shows is that 300,000 people left this game already. Not if they were a casual, got bored, hit a rank cap, hated the game, ect. those are called variables that your not thinking about. I just can't see how you think h4 is harder. what is so hard about losing games and grinding to get xp to increase your "rank" in h4? what is challenging about having armor abilities to pad your mistakes and give you advantages? or have rockets or IC delivered to you?

halo 4 campaign/story is good. but halo 4 did not redeem itself in the multiplayer department. I know people that heard "armor abilites" and didn't even buy 4. others gave it another try and were deeply disapointed, yet again, and quit playing. like I said halo 4 multiplayer = reach 2.- 63 replies

This. 343 said to trust them and that they were listening. looks like they lied. after all the complaints from reach and people leaving I can't believe they would basically make a halo reach 2 with these stupid armor abilites and call it halo 4. really? who are you trying to kid? all the blind fanboys out there saying this game is the greatest halo created, that's the joke of the year. halo 4 added on to halo reach which was bad and the severely declining population alread shows that people are rejecting this idea for halo. Your grammar is terrible, however, your statistics are overwhelmingly impressive. it's a good thing those 3/4 of 5 million people who wanted these changes are playing halo 4 and keeping matchmaking alive!

1-50 or nothing. the SR/cR progression system is garbage and shows nothing. all it shows is that you played alot of games and quite possibly lost alot also, but you still get points awarded, which is stupid?? why would you get rewarded for losing? having a high rank in h2 or h3 typically meant something, as in you were usually very good at the game and WON games and earned your rank. sure sometimes in h3 you had a boosted or bought account but more often than not when you seen a high 40-50 ranked person, it's someone who was good at the game.

halo 4's matchmaking is way harder than h3 matchmaking? HAHA! that has got to be the funniest thing I've seen on these forums. just like another poster said the armor abilities cater to kids who need to wear a diaper going into a game. seriously, starting with invisability or hardlight shield? using noobvision to see though walls and to camp? vehicles getting destroyed in 30 seconds? you must have never made it past staff captain in halo 3 and played team slayer 45+....

Not really. Can you actually defend that the maps are great or why the population is low already? Simple questions really. Don't get me wrong I do like things about this game which I've stated in previous posts. I guess I was let down with apects of MM and I'm trying to understand why people think its so great.

Halo needed to evolve because they had a successful formula that worked? That doesn't make much sense.... If halo stays on this so called "evolutionary" path with armor abilities and loadouts/perks, I won't be buying halo anymore. Its so easy and boring using them and taking advantage of them in my favor it's ridiculous. Keep halo strong as possible?? What?? First 2 days had 400,000 and 410,000 people playing. Now? 90-100,000. People left because not satisfied. Halo 3 social slayer alone had 30000 people years after its release and halo reach. That's 1/3 of this games population after one month....

yeah it's sad really. after reach came out alot of people complained about the armor abilities and lack of a decent ranking system. looks like they listened real well to what people were saying there. your right though, this is not a team game anymore. people don't even talk. all they do is get invis and snipes and camp or boltshot/noob vision and camp.

I disagree. I mean, don't get me wrong I've played the campaigns and enjoyed playing all of them. I really enjoy and get into the story also. I'm not really a fan of paying 60 dollars for a game, play the campaign and basically be done with the game. I beat halo 4 campaign on legendary in 3 days, while I wish it were alittle longer, I was satisfied with gameplay/story. having the multiplayer provides that replayability. without it, there isn't much of a point to purchase the game. I've never played cod and from what people are saying, probably never will if both cod and halo are similar with loadouts ect. I think there are plenty of people out there that think this game was "bad" from a multiplayer view and just left. period. they are not coming to this site. they are not on the game in the lobby complaining. they just left. The people on this site that are complaining about things are a small portion of a larger picture. I am not complaining about halo 4 being similar to cod because it is popular. I've never played it. however based off people saying it is similar with the loadouts ect. I feel it's something I wouldn't enjoy kinda how I am not enjoying this game much just like halo reach. The loadouts and gameplay are just cheap and boring. It gets stale real quick. to me, halo 4 has followed suit with halo reach, that being "meh". where as halo 2,3, had exciting competitive games, great gameplay/strategy, along with enjoyable maps.

I have to agree with rush this game is not halo. it doesn't feel like halo and it doesn't play like halo. my biggest gripe about this game are the loadouts/armor abilities/and "perks". I've never played COD so I can't compare it to that, but judging by the masses halo's loadout system is similar to cods. I just don't understand why 343 went with this after so many people complained about aa's in reach and some people even quit playing and moved to another game or reverted back to H3. I mean why can you start with invis? seriously? on valhalla guy sitting on hill or on base with invis and snipes you get owned. overpowered in that situation and close quarters almost useless, it jams the radar so it gives away someone is around you with invis and move too fast while in invis your seen. same with promethian vision. you can have wetwork and just appear as an outline appearing as a friendly. useless why even have it? yes I realize not everyone will be wetwork or ues pro vision. they should have ditched the aa's and been done with it. it doesn't promote map movement anymore or working with a team anymore. I don't know why they had to COPY an IDEA that's POPULAR right now. so what try something new. at the very least they could have made jet packs/pro vision or invis ordanance drops options, or equipment scattered on the map. And ever since the end of halo 3 maps have been on a serious downhill slide. how hard is it to make a good competitive map with flow? so what if it has pretty rocks water or trees? I'm not looking at that when I play the map. I want a fun competitive map that has key areas of battle. how can all you not complain about the maps? Honestly I loved halo. I stood in line at midnight to get this game. but seriously rush has a point, since that night I have seen the playlists population go down severely. dont blame it on black ops either. I have plently of friends on my list that bought this game and just aren't on anymore/play a different game or the die hards went back to h3. alot of people just reject the idea of loadouts and crap maps that's a main thing that's killing this game. anyone saying that if I or "the small group of people complaining" want things changed or want h3 to go back to h3, don't worry I will and at the same token this is just reach 2 wake up people it's just exectuted slightly better.

First post here but been playing halo for a long time. Been playing h4 now for alittle over a month now and I have to agree with alot of things you say. This game is alright but I don't think halo is quite my cup of tea anymore. Maps and gametypes- It really seems like since reach came out, maps have been lacking big time. what happened to great constructed maps like midship, beaver creek, guardian, THE PIT, construct just to name a few? I just feel like alot of the maps are alittle akward and doesnt fflow very well. I noticed to on exile sometimes at start of the game I had a waypoint saying rockets near the tank. another game I played there was no waypoint at start but when I went over there they were? not sure why objective games aren't in btb I loved flag and bomb games in btb so much action going on. I'm sure they will combine the objective lists into one playlist shortly. I really like in h3 how every weekend they just had random playlists some were interesting and some were just bland. great way to test new game types out and I'm sure alot of people would love to try something new. I am hoping they implement this at some time. the lag has driven me crazy at times also. plently of games where someone quits and blackscreened and even a few times kicked out of the entire game. I have always had a good connection in h3 and reach so I know its not me. even when no one quits I get lag and drives me nuts. never was this bad before in reach or h3 what's going on here? I noticed the killcam also sometimes you get it other times I just look at my dead body. Overall I think the thing that bugs me the most are the armor abilities though. I know they aren't going to remove the aa's and I know what people will say: if I want h3 go play it. but on the same token if you want reach go play reach.... this is basically reach 2 but it is better than reach. I find it funny how some of aa's gets canceled out in a sense. tkae for example promethian vision but if someone is wetwork they just show up as an outline.I know not everyone will use pro vision and wetwork but some will. I have a problem somewhat with invis too. you can pick invis right from start? so someone camps with invis and snipe you don't have a chance really. kinda overppowered imo. then on the opposite you have being close it jams the radar so they know someone is near with invis and when you run you can be seen. I just think the aa's took away that competitive gameplay. I wish they just would have expanded the equipment like in h3, where ANYONE from EITHER team could get it making for great gameplay and strategy.
