chief get a new Cortana? what would we even call her?! "Corta...naw, just some hoe"??? lol. i wouldn't stand for this!
-
the way i see it, even though your a superarmored spartan with shielding, if the guns are powerful enough to break the shielding and the armor and kill you within a short period of time, they likely pack the punch needed to throw of your aim by a single degree. i initialy did think "hm...is that realistic, they are super armored spartans after all" i have to admit, but then i came to the just mentioned conclusion. as for your mention of of adrift and goin for the scatter rather than sword i actual always do that what a cowinkidink you mentioned that ha made me chuckle xD but anyway one thing that comes to mind from what you say about DMR in the right hands is that if you apply this logic equally to power weapons then we are right back to power weapons owning. of course a DMR in the hands of a pro can out kill a noob with an incinerator, but a pro with an incinerator wont go out in the open then miss the shot and get killed, he'll just own. same applies to saw and shotgun and what not, tho these are of course no where near explosive type weps, in the right hands they still clear house like the power weps they are. so put things in balanced perspective maybe you'll change your point of view if you think it over, maybe not, thats fine if thats your honest opinion, thanks for the response either way xD P.S. oh and ty everyone else thusfar for your replies as well, especially the supportive ones

lol my whacko theory is Cortana remains in some forerunner database somewhere and will later somehow reverse engineer the Composer and create an opposite version that turns her into a real in the flesh woman. then her and chief can make spartan babies ;D hehe i can be a lil out there xD

from my point of view on this kind of "fire them now" post, it's just wrong. it's easy to come to that emotional state by the way 343i shifted halo away from its roots of halo...ness, so to speak, and i had a similar rage fit (which i kept to myself mind you) for like...a day after seeing how some of the major changes/additions had such negitive effects. from that point, however, i used more logical thinking. one point to consider is all the greatness of the game which 343 worked very hard on and you are taking for granted. example? how about the sound? they really worked on improving the experience via sound and they really pulled it off IMO. how about how the aim assist behaves in a much more balanced fashion, as well as general aiming on its own? thru reach multiplayer i had to use 3 sensitivity to hit anything but 5 to move around adiquitly, which put me at 4 just to get by, but now i set it to 5 and am perfectly happy. the graphics ar egreat, as to be expected these days, but still not to be overlooked. the hitboxes seem improved. just try gettin that beatdown on someone performing an assassination on your teamate in Reach. i have many a time and found myself waltzing towards death due the inevitable invincability of an assassination, but have had no issues in 4 as of yet. in fact i noticed it works out quite well. the mass of the game is good, so quit overlooking it just to point out a few things which you dislike. sure, most players dislike some of these things, but its not THAT big a deal. some of the perks need balancing a tad, and the insta spawn needs to go away, i feel that way. but it's not like a company gets anywhere by NOT trying things out. anything we majorly dislike they can fix, either now or in the next halo, but theyll get NOWHERE by not trying things out. in fact, we would still be at halo 1. its just the prossess of progression. so stop being so rude. if someone hands you a hundred dollars, you dont complain angrily just cuz its in one dollar bills; and if 343 makes a good game, your don't demand they get fired just cuz there's a few rough spots to smooth out. k?

the BR does not need a huge buff such as 4 shot. balancing by buffing/nerfing is a very bad thing, especially buffing. once you buff one wep, it'll become OP and people will cry for the others to be buffed. one of them will become the new OP wep and so others will be buffed, and so on and so on till everything 1 hits. thats the road of balancing by buffing. IMO the BR is fine as is though. It's basicly less forgiving for the initial shield breaking shots, but trades that for more relaxed head shotting. with the BR you don't have as much need for aim for the head shot since you need merely pass your curser accross the head while firing, and the magnitism of aim assist tends to land one of them three bullets a part time job in your opponents cranium. so its good for its own reason (basicly noob friendly? lol) but any more power and it WILL become OP so yeah i agree no buff here plz

i can't help but ask, why not just allow map selection already? why make it vote based? just give the various maps as options so you can select which you wanna play. is there some technical reason for this being difficult to accomplish or something? o.O

thats why its called teabagging? o.O ...oh no....oh dear god no lol but yeah i love post end match killing. got a triple kill that way today, and they were all after me so hey it felt legit xD

Most hacked game EVER- 343i, patch this crap already
NotNoobNorPro replied to DN2012's topic in Halo 4
i realize the kill cam is very flawed as far as showing things accurately, and thats why i was giving it the benifit of the doubt for quite awhile. but some cases of what i'm seeing just stands out as not being due to kill cam fail. i'm well aware of how it behaves, but i still feel alot of the cases are hack related. its not like im calling hacks on everyone who kills me. the majority of the time the reticule does not line up on the kill cam i know, but what i see in some cases goes far beyond that -
Getting my first and currently only perfection ever on Exile. I was splitscreening with a friend and so once i had the 15 kills i started freaking out and yelling at him to protect me xD lolol there was no enemies around At any rate he decided to hop in a tank and play body guard, and owned Don't say that was a cheap perfection, because during the 15 kills i was in the center base area of the map being swamped from all sides, surviving only by my twice jumping over turning and assassinating, stealing a fuelrod luancher and clearing house, rushing away to a safer area, then sniping my last few kills...with the fuelrod luancher xD It was my epic pride and joy match but too bad i have no harddrive :/

Most hacked game EVER- 343i, patch this crap already

I am seeing alot of aimbotting. I thought as much before based on the kill cam results, but wasn't sure since oddities can possibly be lag related, but I'm becoming pretty darned possitive about it. I just a moment ago had some very good examples i suppose i can share. Was getting killed very quickly by a guy with Storm rifle. He managed to kill me when we both started firing at the same time and i maintained my aim very well while using Saw. I noticed later in a kill cam of another death by him how his stream of fire was behaving as compared to the reticule. Basicly it left his reticule to hit me perfectly, then realigned with his reticule when i went behind cover, then left it again when i came out and zipped to me perfectly, then went back to normal as soon as i died. That's just plain aim bott. Next round i for some reason had no working option to leave the lobby, and thus ended up with this guy again. In one of his kill cams he double melees me while walking forward, as we were both runnin toward a rocket, and then throws a sticky grenade without having changed his path or aim, both being straight ahead. Thing is, since i had died from his second melee, the grenade decides to zip to THE EDGE of his screen at lightning fast magnetic speed and stick my teamate. Definite sticky grenade aimbott. There is alot of hacking -
lol gauss so OP but heck if they cant take ya out with that tank at the start then ya may as well teach em a lesson xD
-
Lol well i deffinitely agree hammer and needler are odd to be thought of as power weapons xD The hammer has always been odd to me in that it has to hit close range to kill and yet throws the enemy away if you get a near hit, but now that it has nearly no shockwave damage its even odder. I never like using it personaly. One thing to note which i just realized, the needler spawns with enough needles to get 2, maybe 3 kills if you don't waste it, which is actually balanced the way i would prefer other power weps to be ammo wise.
-
Thanks for your input Bloody. I get what your saying with power weps. I've had that such experience before, especially thanks to the instant spawn (i hate instant spawn honestly lol). I mainly experience what i previously mentioned, however. I don't play using mic very often, idk why, just don't. But i do splitscreen with a friend often. One thing we do is pretty much stand ready to grab each others power wep in case of death, and it works out very well. That kind of stratagy can keep the power weps in the hands of the team even if you happen to die before using it up. I guess what i'm saying is even if you happen to die, the one who takes the power wep is likely a teamate, and thus the power weps still control the round. If they had reduced ammo, that wouldnt happen. Well, that being said, i'm just taking from my personal experience thusfar, which is all i can do
-
Um...i don't see any reason for everyone to run around with automatics just from what i suggested It would just allow automatic users to have a better chance within the close ranges which automatic weapons are supposed to be better for. You sound like you think I suggested a huge power buff to automatics.... Did you even read my post? I know its long but....

I have two ideas i wish to present which I fell would balance things out a little. They are for the purpose of solving the folling imbalances: 1. POWER WEAPON DEPENDENCY- Let's face it, it has always been part of halo, this one irritating flaw, that the match is generally decided by which teams secures the power weapons. In Halo 4, this flaw has been worsened rather than repaired. The hud lacator thing for power weps does help everyone to have a chance at the initial drops, but it doesn't do anything to fix the issue, and with ordinance added in, power weapons decide the match more than ever. Whoever gets the first power weps is generally garrenteed not only an immediate lead, but first ordinance as well, which will further the lead enough so that the struggling team cannot make up the difference. Not only that, but the struggling team will be using their ordinance power weapons against an already power weapon armed team. 2. PRECISION WEAPON DOMINANCE- Precision weapons rightly win out againt automatic weapons from accross the battle field, but when it comes to close ranges, the AR, Storm Rifle, and/or Suppressor wrecks anyone holding a DMR, Carbine, and/or Light Rifle hands down! Lol simply....no. I'm sure many just muttered a "wtf" of confusion right there, because in reality, the precision wep is on par with automatic weps at close range, and often even dominate. This is simply stupid, but can be remedied. Fix #1. Power weapons need to be given much more limited ammo when aqcuired. They can pretty much be thought of as free kills, and so why give so many full clips worth of Saw or Shotgun? Why 5 Sticky Detonators? Why does one team have to be hit with the Incinerator 5 wopping times (I think its 5) before having a chance whenever Solace is played? You get the idea. Now, many people would suggest nerfs, but I dislike unnecessary nerfing/buffing of a weapon's functionality. The Incinerator, for example, is not a bad thing. IT FLIPPING ROCKS! Lol, it is alot of fun to use and a good addition to Halo. It just, like most power weps, drops with too much ammo. Drop it with 1 or 2 shots, and suddenly it's not so bad, in that you won't control the match just by grabbing it before the other team. Sure its still gonna get you some easy kills, but only a few at best. How about shotgun? 6 shots can be 6 kills yo, why do we need Mr. CampyMcGee getting a dozen more without ever woddling out from behind that doorway? A single clip will get him enough to be happy about before having to switch back to his regular wep (oh the horror). I'm sure you all get it by now. Fix #2. So...nerf precision weps? Or...buff automatic weps? Neither! After thinking it over awhile, i realized the precision weapon is only on par because of the inevitable headshot, and so what if we make that more difficult to perform while adding in a bit of realism? And so I thought about an automatic wep causing more sever flinching in multiple random directions, but then realized that would be spazticly horrid lol. Then I got the bright idea. Why not have automatic weps cause bloom to the reciever of those oh so many bullets pounding upon them? (This is for scoped out, by the way) In reality, getting hit with a quick spread of fire would worsen your aim considerably, so it has that aspect of realism. And the effect would be basicly that a headshot would be more difficult to get while being shot at with the automatic, which would balance out the flaw of percision weapon dominance. Also, for being scoped in, it actualy should cause more twitching to be hit with automatic fire, not initialy, but like an accumulative effect, as bloom while scoped is as though to say the scope itself is being misaligned, which makes no sence. I know we have twitching rather than bloom when zoomed currently (hurray), but it doesn't seem to apply much from being hit with automatic weps. Anyway, those are my modest ideas. Feel free to give your honest opinions of them Thanks!

ok thanks for the replies. i guess what ive seen as far as actual damage differences most be network related then....

I agree that it is currently very messed up. It IS, however, far better than previous problems. I recall some very messed up rounds on Reach without the add in system, or whatever we are calling it. Stuf like starting a match solo againt 4, they all back out from boredom, it counts as me quiting AGAIN, and boom I'm on false probation lol. So when it comes down to it, I find the current system to be better, though it definitely needs some tuning. For example, there should be both time and point limits which, once surpassed, dissallow add ins. No one wants to even join a 100 to 400 round anyway, regardless of which side they end up on. Perhaps, in addition, the gap between the team's scores should determine some kind of wait time before the system adds in a teamate. Like if it's 4 v 4 up till blue has 150 and red has 200, then 1 blue backs out, the 50 point difference would yield a longer wait time to get a 4th player again than would an even score with no point difference, for example. That way if your team is legitimately wrecking the enemy team, they can't just get Mr Fantastic joining in all the sudden because of one of their teamates quiting. It would serve as a...handicap? Idk lol. I just thought of that as i was typing this xD Seriously though, it was worse before, but the current system does need some work

TWEAKS, BUFFS & ADDITIONS THAT I'D LIKE TO IMPROVE MY HALO 4 EXPERIENCE
NotNoobNorPro replied to DREGGSTA's topic in Halo 4
as for precision duals being way too common, yes they are, but changing machine gun type weapons the way you said makes no sence and is not the way to go. they need to outdamage precision weapons at close range, and that is all. sadly they are merely on par at best in actual use.... as for the hard light shield, jetpack, and thruster pack, heck yeah these need minor adjustments. the hardlight shield, for one, is made of, you guessed it, LIGHT, which in no way weighs as much as one of them 50 cal's. thus, it should not empede movement the way it currently does, IMO. the jetpack could use a little more liftoff, but i don't feel it is strongly needed. as for the thruster pack, when you compare normal moving speed with thruster moving speed, they seem nearly identical. i think it should give ya that added bit of, you know, thrust. the only thing i find it useful for currently is changing direction in midair. that is rarely useful, however. -
ok i get what you're saying as regards peoples use of weapons, but i'm talking about actual weapon power. like direct hitting with a railgun and not getting a kill, as i mentioned. i suppose it COULD be network related, as you said, but it really feels like things have simply been nerfed. i googled it a little and found random people mentioning nerfs, but most were related to pre release. some were related to post release, but i couldn't find any definite info. isn't there anywhere 343i would discuss this kind of thing specificly, by chance? thanks
-
Has there been alot of nerfing post release? I'm noticing huge loss of power in alot of the weapons as compared to previously. Examples: Scatter shot- at point blank it still 1 hits, but at near point blank, though all the projectiles do hit, it requires usually 4 shots. Previously it required 2 at this range. Supressor- my friend loved this wep most out of all the loudout weps, and though i never used it till recently, he says it feels weak as heck now. Detonator...luancher...thing- lol forget exact name, but anyway it used to be like the power of a rocket, and now its more like a grenade, perhaps just slightly more powerful. at this point im setting them off under peoples feet, but just because they happen to jump, they get enough distence from it to survive.... this wep used to kill anything near it, right? now they need to be either weakened first or squating over it saying in a cute voice "are you my mommy?" before it actualy kills, it seems. Railgun- used to kill if you hit the floor nearby their feet. I just a minute ago got a direct hit on someone (no he didn't have overshield i am positive) and he survived.... Anywho back to my original question, so is 343i nerf happy or is it just me?
-
interesting info about the homing yeah ive noticed they kinda do that lol. the ones ive seen were flying out sideways from the getgo tho. but maybe.... anyways ty for the replies. i guess the general consensus (how dat spelled) thusfar is..."prolly lag, but we don't know for sure"? xD lol
-
ty for the welcome LiQuid and yeah the reason i came to ask about it is i've been playing since release night and never noticed the kill cam showing what i've been seeing lately. it isn't just a usual oddity that's obvious lag related. basicly it's the fact that they don't ever move thier curser in the kill cam, as long as i'm on the screen, and yet every shot is a headshot. and it's not just one instance or anything but many, just some have stood out more than others. one was me strafing and hoping over the reticule while it stayed in place and all the carbine shots needed to kill me synced with my head, making a beautiful rainbow of carbine over the redicule lol. mostly, though, the sticky grenades are what bothers me, because i guess i've never even heard of a sticky aim bot.... well maybe it's always been a thing? idk honestly
-
Recently I've noticed a HUGE influx of what I would brush off as lag related if it were just a here and there thing, but it's happening alot and just recently so. What it is is that when someone gets the kill on me, and I'm watching the "their point of view" cam, they aren't moving their reticule AT ALL, and yet they land every shot. Classic aim botting, perhaps, but there's more. Not just DMR, carbine, BR, and what not, but ESPECIALLY sticky grenades o.O (one kill was actual assualt rifle, every bullet landin on mah head where there's usualy a spread or something? lol) Now, to be a little more specific about one particular case involving the sticky grenades, in the after death "his point of view" cam vid, he doesn't move his reticule at all, and manages to throw a sticky to me on the far right of his screen AND immediatly sticks my team member on the far left of his screen. It almost looked like the start of a pee stream after s...nevermind o.O Anyway, I'm concerned, but at the same time I don't know how lag can affect the after death kill cam, so I ask, is this common and related to just lag in the kill cam, or is Halo 4 being hacked to hell this week?
