  1. ^ Yeah what LiQuid said. I've run into several SR70 Operator/Wetwork players online. I feel bad seeing that. Hopefully 343i releases the specializations for everyone soon.
  2. This right here. Wreckage is pretty bad and Shatter isn't great, but can be somewhat amusing. I haven't played on Harvest enough to form an opinion on it, but it's not looking that great. Being a player from the old Halo 2 days, I'm going to be hard to impress when it comes to maps. Bungie's multiplayer level design team for Halo 2 was phenomenal, but they went downhill with the following titles and 343i's team can't compete either. They need to take an example from Halo 2's maps and if they can't, then they need to at least just give us Halo 2 remakes.

  4. I don't feel "irritated", but I definitely think that a patch should have been released first. Also, like Technology Guru posted, there should have been a public beta earlier in the year. In this day and age every competitive game (as well as some non-competitive ones) should have a public beta. And by public, I mean actually make it public and open to everyone. Just put it up on the marketplace for free so everyone can download it, instead of making people pre-order, or buy another game to get in.
  5. I saw someone online earlier with an emblem that looked like the Splatter medal (a guy split in half at the waist). I've never seen the emblem before and was wondering how you unlock it.
  6. Yeah, I agree that the ordnance drops are pretty screwed up. I rarely get anything I want with mine. Meanwhile, my enemies are getting rockets and Binary Rifles. I didn't say that, as you can see here: My point is that I agree that the game is not tactical now, but it never actually was to begin with and bringing back weapon pick-ups won't change that. They need to do something that encourages actual tactical gameplay. What, I don't know, but Halo's core gameplay style as it has been for the past 11 years doesn't really allow for tactical gameplay.
  7. I can agree that the "better team" would take out the other and secure the power weapons, but after that, it's not about skill, it's about getting free kills with with power weapons. Besides, if the team that won the initial firefight is better, why do they need the free tickets? That's like playing Mario Kart and having the player in 1st place get a Power Star. He's already in the lead, he doesn't need that. I'm not saying that the losing team should get the free tickets, but it wasn't exactly a good system before. They need to come up with a real way to make the game actually play tactically.
  8. I despise Exile. That and Abandon have to be the worst maps in the game and some of the worst Halo maps ever. Longbow and Ragnarok are easily the best ones in the Big Team Infinity Slayer playlist. I really don't care for the other three.
  9. Halo never really was tactical. You could could argue that it used to be more tactical than it is now, but if that's true, it wasn't by much. As for attributing the lack of pick-up weapons as a major offender to this, I wouldn't say that a team winning because they had power weapons and the other team didn't is "tactical". I'd call that unbalanced.
  10. I've always wanted to see this gametype too. I don't think it would work quite as well as it does in Gears of War, but it would still be a nice alternative to the mindless run 'n gun style that Halo has always been. I suspect that the playlist would have very little activity, but I would definitely like to see it given a chance anyway.
  11. One of them kills in one hit, the other two don't... While they all have their uses in different situations, it would definitely seem that the Boltshot generally reigns supreme.
  12. I like the unicorn. Don't have it though, unfortunately. I use the spider, though I might switch to the jolly roger.

  14. It might get better later, but I really doubt that it'll surpass Black Ops II. Yeah, Gears 3 was such a disppointment. It totally killed the whole franchise for me. I loved and played the hell out of the first two, but the third one was so bad, I gave up on it after a few months.
  15. I don't ever want dual weilding back. It was a cool idea, but it was really, really unnecessary and some combos were pretty overpowered. Anyone remember dual weilding two Magnums in Halo 2 before the big balance patch? That was ridiculous.
  16. Promethian Vision is pretty useful. Active Camouflage has it's uses as well and Hologram is pretty good too. It really shouldn't be, but people fall for it so easily. So yeah, I won't vote because I don't really know which of these three is really the best, but I use Hologram, myself. Thruster Pack seems absolutely useless.
