  1. Super lopsided teams help. A team of competent people will almost never allow someone to go the entire game without dying.
  2. The flood are far too strong is the issue. They have some type of shields and they have greatly exaggerated armor abilities. Remove shields from the flood, get rid of their armor abilities, and make them faster by default. The fact that you can attack in MID-THRUST is insanely stupid. Another massive issue is the complex map. As the zombies are now it's the only map where humans can hold up, but at the cost of infuriating camping on top of the structures. The whole experience just isn't fun. As it stands right now the game isn't holding up against increasingly overwhelming odds, but rather just waiting to die. Regardless of Cannon, fun is fun. Therefore flood sucks.
  3. The DMR is far easier to kill with, mainly because most of the time you'll encounter enemies where the reticule is red first for the DMR. At close range it's also almost on par or better then the BR. I love the battle rifle, but most of the time when I'm "seriously" playing I roll with the DMR, as in I'm going for kills and not fun. Agree with Initiates post pretty much 100%. I'm about to stop posting and let him do the talking for me lol.
  4. Spartan ops needs sliders or something that alters the number of enemies and other things. The only problem with this is commendation boosting or whatnot.
  5. All I want is an in game explanation of what happened to the Arbiter.
  6. Nevermind. I was gonna write some big flame filled thread, but I think I'm just done instead. To those who were there in the glory days. Peace to you.
  7. 60 minutes seems really harsh. Odd they would do this.
  8. I want her to return but not in AI form, the composer has her now, of whatever was left of it. I loved when she was "everywhere" after getting composed, I hope her consciousness is retained in some forerunner facility.
  9. I don't use the jet pack. I understand its obvious tactical advantages but since it was introduced in Reach I've never liked how it destroyed map design as players never could just jet pack up to what should have been carefully placed power weapons or vehicles. As a result, I despise anyone who uses the jet pack, and if I had my way it would NOT be in multiplayer.
  10. It's almost impossible to go on ground based rampages like in halo 2 and 3 online in these newer games. Spartans are slower, and the map is cannot be predicted in the least thanks to ordanace and instant respawning. It's what initiate was saying. The skill gap is DEFINITELY smaller then it was in previous games. I could be johnny on the spot with the DMR, have 100 percent accuracy and movement, and still not be able to take 2 or 3 people that are just O.K. at the game, shooting in my general direction. In halo 2 and 3 you could pull off things like this and much much more if you had the ability to do so.
  11. Just completed weekly challenge Infinity solo legendary with the Mythic Tilt Thunderstorm and tough luck skull on. Strangely it also completed the challenge to do the other skulls with famine on as well. The door fight was pretty funny. But possible. You really need to approach the game differently to deal with knights. Anyway, solo or it didn't happen lol.
  12. Halo 2 skulls for the win. I really don't understand why they didn't design new skulls for the game. Sputnik was so much more awesome then cowbell. Halo 2 is my favorite campaign because of the skulls, getting them in certain orders to make the campaign awesome for the arbiter. Classic grunt birthday party that was actually a useful plasma explosion instead of a viva pinata reference. Not to mention the IWBYD skull, the gauntlet of elites with nothing but a plasma pistol.
  13. I just completed the episode on legendary. It was pretty fun solo, and pretty challenging. Overall I would say the one episode is better then all of the first episodes released. The harvester looks badass, I just wish it was moving and doing stuff.
  14. Yeah, this is not a latency thread, but rather the game not being able to render two or more screens in an acceptable way FRAMERATE wise. The problem is split screen not being properly optimized, or polished, or coded correctly, whatever term you want to use. lol
  15. Quickly grab ghost/shoot RVB box, kill all infantry, splattering elites and shooting them as they fall out of phantoms. Rinse and repeat, getting other ghost if need be until mantis phase. Mantis phase should be self explanatory but the fastest way to not get shredded by the banshees and to B-LINE sprint jump to the nearest Mantis off the ridge after the cutscene. Banshee destroyer, elite zealot, and elite officer all done, hunter destroyer going soon.
  16. I DOES look better then season 1. I think its because they have people who worked on campaign working on the spartan ops levels and cinematics now
  17. Wow...can you stop bumping old threads with absolutely no input?
  18. Yeah, the problem is not noticeable or just doesn't exist on small maps, but once you get to maps the size of complex and bigger it turns into an unplayable mess. I'm back playing solo screen as my friends are all gone for the holidays being over, but this issue remains for other people who regularly play spit screen online like me and my friends used to in all the halos to date.
  19. In halo 1 and 2, the campaigns were comparable to the multiplayer (I absolutely loved halo 2's campaign, not quite as much as the multiplayer, but it had some incredible music and scenes.)
  20. The magnum absolutely owns in swat, as it did in all the other halos. Swat magnum for life MOTHERFU#KERS.
  21. Lol, I understand where the op was coming from. But Halo reach's arena had NOTHING halo 2's ranking system. Saying you're a halo reach legend is like saying you're the fastest person at the special Olympics...
  22. I found a great way to get first strikes on Ragnarok. Get in the banshee and B-LINE over the hill into where the enemy team man-cannons, if you were fast enough you should have been able to splatter or fuel rod the first guy, I've gotten more then a couple first strikes employing this tactic, just know that this might result in explosive effects for your banshee after the initial strike. lol
  23. ordnance, instant slayer respawns, different gun class loadouts, and an utter lack of weapons on the field compared to previous game all contribute to driving die hard fans and even casual fans of the series away. This "making a halo for the modern generation" crap was just emulating features implemented much better in COD. Power weapons should be rewarded through map control and perseverance as a team to lock down the areas where they spawn and to control key points on the map. In this game, power weapons are awarded to people who camp in the back with a DMR. The rich get richer system from COD is just not very fun in halo, and I think it defeats the cavalier spirit of the series as a whole where slayer is concerned.
  24. You could kill people with the halo 3 AR all the time, I felt like that weapon was the most balanced version, even if I ditched it for a single weild SMG usually lol.
  25. I don't encounter this in COD, and I play both games very much. In COD team players cannot move you, period. If you don't move, they won't move you by running into you.
