  1. Well....imagine my happiness when I shot a rocket at 4 idiots on the other team last night, "my first extermination medal!" I gleefully thought to myself as I exploded the entire enemy team, only to gain an overkill. What the hell 343i? This medal was one of the most impressive/awesome medals to gain. I understand with instant respawn exterminations happen much less frequently, but come on. Another thing bugging the crap out of me is the lack of a stick medal. I think that this is actually a glitch with the game as the white text STUCK pops up when you stick someone but no points or medal is awarded (like I give two craps about points in this case though). This should be an independant medal of the plasma kill. Where is Assault/One Bomb and One Flag CTF? Some of the most quinesstential and popular objective gametypes in Halo. Ragnarok was made for an assault gametype, it was some of the best games on that map for me personally. The reason I have made this post, rather then complaining these features aren't here is rather ask: why? What possible reason could the same people who worked in bungie on Halo 1 2 and 3 have to exclude our favorite gametypes? Why are these medals not in the game any more? I know this seems like nitpicking, but where I'm coming from on this is why not? What would adding these features take away and not improve? I'm not angry that they are omitted but just curious and confused. Why is there a lack of a UNSC flying vehicle like the Hornet or Falcon in multiplayer and campaign, much less the lack of Scarabs in campaign...the list goes on.
  2. It also existed in halo 1. But it was just a flag you had to run into the enemy base lol. One flag CTF and Assault/ One bomb assault NEED to come back.
  3. Sticking someone on the face with a plasma grenade.
  4. The library was tedious, but not too bad. But yeah truth and reconsiliation was hands down the toughest level in the game.
  5. What logic is this? Easter eggs like the scarab gun make campaigns memorable. It was supremely difficult to obtain, and was awesome. Let me guess you don't like giant soccer balls either?
  6. Hmm...my service rank is 74 currently on the stalker specialization for the sick gold visor. I'll check my True skill and update this.
  7. My favorite was there was a KOTH challenge but it was after the gametype was removed.
  8. I love the blues, but I love Grif Sarge Simmons and Donut more. Not to mention they have the chupathingy.
  9. The sword and hammer both own if you get speed boost. The sword still owns in the right hands, ignore the balloon guy. There's a ton more counters to it in this game but on the maps it spawns in it does fine. Adrift is where I've found the most success with it.
  10. I deal with people trying to put the hog in the place you describe all the time, it's called long range plasma throwing, most of the time there won't be driver with the guy that drove to the corner of the map by C. God forbid ordanace support in the form of any sniping weapon or launcher. Go back and use a gauss hog in halo 3, or even halo reach. The cool down time is greatly extended, not quite double, but close. The only time the gauss hog presents a problem is if both driver and gunner are spot on, and they need to have a team that supports them. This generally doesn't happen in games where I'm on the other team. Controling the scorpian tank is a much greater threat/issue in my eyes. But hey, I'm just a regular halo player? Screw you man.
  11. They need to add big team battle CTF to this game already. This map is made for it. People love it because of nolstalgic reasons, and it also offers that old school own the enemy team by controling the ridge mechanic intact.
  12. I played xbox before halo 2 came out. But the week before it did, november 2004 is when I actually purchased a system of my own. I've been on xbox live and have been playing halo online for 9 years running now. I got a 360 at launch 2005 and patiently waited for halo 3 to come out.
  13. Halo 1 has a special significance in my heart, but not quite as much as halo 2. Nothing can come close to how much fun, and how popular it was online.
  14. I slaved to get to 50 in team slayer. I got to 49 and stayed there no matter how many games I won in a row lol.
  15. They need to institute this. Then they could justifibly increase the experiance you get for beating a spartan op on legendary, but not if you run out of lives. It kind of bugs me that I can be super careful and only die twice or less on legendary op but get the same exp for doing it on NORMAL.
  16. What fantasy game/retards are you playing? Sign me up.
  17. I personally enjoy it more solo then with people, there aren't enough enemies with 4 people.
  18. Donut, Caboose, Sarge and the other Reds and blues are my favorites. lol
  19. Hunters are really easy to deal with. Even with no weapons that can hurt them on you, the melee dance still works from other halos. In episode 3, the mission where you fight the most hunters you get to own the crap out of them with the Mantis. Also, hunters mate for life, in pairs. That's why you'll never encounter a solitary hunter, ever. In all the halo's they have always came in pairs or multiples of two.
  20. I run spartan ops solo. These missions must be boring as **** with multiple people, there are barely enough enemies in episode 1 to keep me entertained, and I would probobly betray people out of boredom if I was to join a spartan ops matchmaking lol.
  21. Uh...did you do it on solo? Even on heroic, and giving all the marines power weapons they still got destroyed, and that was me efficently killing the biggest threats on the field. I'm sure it's easy with 3 other people, and if you're claiming that on a solo run through, you're either overwhelmingly lucky or lying.
  22. Are you talking about defending the generators with the mantis level? that was easy. The hardest achievement is keeping those friggin marines alive during the mission Hacksaw. The achievement you're talking about is not going to the objective, after you defend the generators (you don't have to keep both alive) you'll be told to go to the waypoint at the top of the stucture, simply stay at the two generators and keep killing the waves of promethians that spawn, it should seem pretty insane before it's done. After you kill EVERYTHING and not going through the teleporter you get the achievement.
  23. Shootout in Valhalla is probobly the best level to grind for commendations and completion. I play a variety when I'm bored.
  24. Previous halo's radar also indicated what level the dot was on, if it was below or above you, it was harder to tell but the shape of the dots changed in halo 2 and 3. You and me seem to be the only people to remember this sir, thank you lol
