  1. I'm sorry you didn't like BTB in Reach. ( I personally hated all of reach ) But your opinion on big team objective is in the extreme minority.
  2. Regicide is only bull**** in the way that you can have the most kills easy, but the king can still win by a massive amount if he does the right things. Ever since FFA came out I haven't been playing regicide lol.
  3. Unlike the crimson map pack, which really was a waste of 3 maps, seeing as I never play them or enjoy them; this map pack looks like what that SHOULD have been. I know people are going to be sick to hear there's going to be larger maps coming, but this really needed to happen, the crimson maps suck. And not because they are big, they just screwed those maps up.
  4. Maybe they can bring back some type of motorcycle type vehicle like the chopper, but maybe traveled on a trail of hard-light or something cool.
  5. If you understood my post, you would have realized I was talking about how the game is designed, not what happens to me in a war games match. Sometimes that happens, usually I get multiple kills before dying, sometimes I don't die at all. Halo 4 is subject to lag too from time to time, so performance can vary even if you're a very good player. I currently run a 2.0 kdr in Halo 4, it was around 2.5 in halo 3, which I was personally happy with. Some games are just utter destruction, and then some games...not so much.
  6. I've killed over 100,000 people in halo 2 and died 32,000 times. I've played over 5400 games of halo 3 and over 7000 of halo 2 before it was sadly taken offline. The game is designed for you to get one kill, and then die. Other halos actually had skill gaps, and not crutches like armor abilities or instant re-spawning coupled with a longer then ever shield re-spawn delay fill those gaps, instead of getting better at the game. Fully organized teams dominated just as hard in Halo 3, I know because I was rolling with one most of the time in BTB. The only difference is there wasn't any broken JIP so the games were just over when people left. Next game. In halo 4 its a joke when you have a full team, just roll together and even a group of idiots can own if they just all point their no bloom DMRs down range and pull the trigger. teamshotting was always effective in halo but in this one 4 or more competent players aiming together with DMRs can and will systematically destroy an entire team in seconds. (this discounts the power weapons delivered to them to utilize) So I do agree with you here, that halo 4 can be more slanted then 3 just due to the fact you really don't have to hold any specific part of the map down for weapons or control.
  7. Big team CTF has always, and will always be a part of halo multiplayer. It offers arguably the most fun and memorable games as well. 2 Flag CTF on blood gulch with 16 people? Assault? One flag CTF on zanzibar/headlong/transit with 16 people? My most fun and awesome memories with the game are in Big Team Battle. It will be much more fun then infinity slayer, it won't have ordnance, it won't have instant re-spawning. Those two things right there are going to make it more fun for me and offer a much more classic and fun experience that I and many other players have been lacking. This should have been available at launch, and you are very silly man for not wanting it in the game. It shouldn't be a separate playlist though from slayer, it should just integrate in and be called Big team battle.
  8. Yeah, it does. It's on the news page as well on this very site.
  9. OOOOHHH YEAAAAAAAHHH! http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/03/11/halo-4s-castle-map-pack-arrives-april-8 These 3 maps look much better then the Crimson maps. And with Big team objective coming with it it's gonna be sweeeet. One of the maps even looks like Terminal/Headlong with the City aesthetic and that train!!!
  10. I remember this on backwash...that map lagged! lol
  11. They tried this in modern warfare 2 and 3. The feature was almost universally despised. Lets reward someone for getting owned, so they can easier kill the person owning them. No. Just ******* no. It's bad enough this game takes good features from COD, lets not start taking the horrible ones too.
  12. it's probably connection. Sometimes my shots are dead on and kill exactly as fast as they should, then other games it can go from a 5 shot with the BR to a 7 shot or thereabouts.
  13. Allow me to bring some much needed negativity to it then. Quick time sequences are dumb and not needed in halo 4 or any future halo game. Seriously, I remember a time when instead of pressing the grenade button after a semi cut-scene, you actually had a BOSS fight. What happened to things like killing Mercy or Tartarus in a frantic and dangerous battle (at least on legendary) It was just one more thing that halo didn't need. Call of duty is riddled with much more engrossing sequences, instead of press B once on the elite or do the same thing to the Didact, except a different button.
  14. So the op is a halo veteran, and the poem represents the halo population over the years, and the level of the support for the game over the years. "Brother" represents the community, the good memories evoked when playing halo 2 and 3 online, when getting a 16 person LAN party together for halo 1.
  15. ....people aren't saying the game plays like COD. They are saying the game uses many game-play mechanics that previously WERE NOT in halo, that WERE in Call of Duty. Built in sprint. Instant respawning. Point gained rewards. (ordnance to the idiots out there) Just those 3 things right there are all bull**** in a game like halo. And if people are saying this Halo isn't noob friendly, they should have played the other ones...this is the easiest halo yet to kill someone.
  16. I try to communicate, but my voice falls on deaf ears and muted lobby settings. I get killed by the gauss hog, I say where it is, and where to avoid, and of course, my entire team runs up the middle, single file and gets owned.
  17. Im surprised no one mentioned conkers bad fur day multiplayer on the N64, that was some good times.
  18. Funny enough, the shade turret from halo 2 was a beast, it would just start shooting faster and faster until it was like some type of super machine gun.
  19. Damage boost might actually work with splatters, I know if I get into a ghost with damage boost people seem to get killed instantly by the dual cannons.
  20. First I hit start, then hit leave game, seeing as I accidentally chose the extraction playlist.
  21. The old relics are all moving on as well, it was the case with Halo Reach as well. I've been playing since I was 13, I'm 25 now and still follow halo with memories of Halo 1 and 2 and 3 fresh in my mind. We are a dying breed.
  22. I've never tried the needler, but I know it takes an excessive amount of anything to kill them. It's random but fuel rod guns spawn on the dead grunts, if your lucky you can get a full ammo stack and use that for the beginning elites. It takes pretty much all 5 shots.
  23. I do exactly as you described, quitting when I see I took some poor souls spot on a forsaken team. But then why even have it? Previous halo's flourished and did just fine without it. Getting put into the same game multiple times sucks, feel for you there.
  24. I would go find lord hood and ask him WTF he was doing during the events of halo 4.
