Sometimes these tips wont work in game-play. Many times the strafing will actually cause you to shoot poorly and practice is definitely needed. Practice with the br at all times in matchmaking and custom games because its' aim assist and aim magnetism is weaker than the dmr's. This will ensure that you have a grip with both weapons. The dmr plays similarly to the br but with extra support, so in practicing with the br you are practicing with the dmr as well. NEVER use the light rifle. It's decreased rate of fire and lack of aim assist will seem to help with your shooting but actually ruins you with dmr and br game-play (Don't use the light rifle!). Do not start a custom game dedicated to shooting your own team-mate. The lack of aim-assist will actually make you worse with the weapon when you do actual game-play. (Don't shoot team-mates for practice!) -In my first post, when you strafe from left to right, experiment with the players shooting style. You can either do a large strafe or a vibrating strafe. It so happens that the vibrating strafe is most effective on me. -Additionally, the tea-bag strafe can do more bad than good in some situations. you might want to adjust to a normal strafe in these situations. -Remember, each opponent is different and have different weaknesses. Weaknesses can range from: jumping(if it works on the person), vibrating strafe, long strafe, tea-bag strafe, lack of focus, teamwork, strategy, poor shooting ability, and GRENADES.(and frankly some have all these weaknesses). Your job is to become even in all your abilities so you have no true weakness and to hit the opponent hard in whatever weakness they have. -Playing while you are tired will have a detrimental effect on all your skills, even the ones you are good at. -Learn when to throw your grenades and how to throw them. Dont chuck your grenades when you spawn! Throw grenades into large group of enemies or weak enemy campers.

The bumper jumper settings give you the advantage with jumping as said with the tips because you don't have to move your thumb like you do when using recon. Though people consider this to make bumper jumper better recon crouches with more control and jet packs easier. This being said, if you use the jetpack or a pure bread strafer then recon is the optimal setting. Ninja nosome uses bumper jumper in gamepley but when I see him playing he isnt strafing or is poorly strafing. This is because his precision weapon skills don't rely on strafe. Though this is true, ninja is then made an easier target for fire; that is where his strategy and intelligence comes in. - Like any other pro, ninja can be recked by strafe, so if you master the art you may be able to out dmr or br him. (more likely br) - Recon is the medium which means that all buttons are equally valuable while each other button layout has a specific "strongside". In this case it happens to be bumper jumper which specializes in jumping. Yes, a good recon users strafe can outplay the bumper jumpers jump mainly due to how easy it is to shoot someone that is jumping and how hard it is to shoot a good strafer. Your method is commonly used though it would be best to tea-bag instead of just using the crouch as a surprise strategy in the initial stages of a 1v1. The teabag strafe method can be changed up into different intervals. Example: Instead of tea-bagging your fastest wait half a second till' the next crouch. Remember: -Catch your opponent off guard. -Get the first shot -Play smart

Strafing is an obvious part of halo (and cod) precision game-play. If you are a semi-pro, casual, or beginner this will do you some good. According to what I have seen the most effective strafe in halo 4 game-play is the tea-bag strafe. While moving from left to right you must constantly tea-bag. The reasoning behind this is that instead of the opponent just moving their reticle horizontally they must also move it vertically. This will result in multiple circumstances: the player stops strafe unconsciously in order to get good shots on you making them an easy target, they miss multiple shots while still stopping strafe, they miss shots while strafing( BR skills plays a vital role in this situation), or they strafe and make shots at the same time. You always want to be the last choice and you want your opponent to be one of the first 3. If your opponent is just too good in their aim and strafe and they still out BR you then should change up your strafe. If your opponent is left handed then attempt to strafe in YOUR rightward direction. If your opponent is right handed then strafe in a leftward direction. Since most people are right handed then it would be the best idea to strafe leftward. Remember to still tea-bag while doing these strafes. This is based on how people function and which side of their brain is dominant. REVISION: 1.Do the tea-bag strafe while shooting accurately.(Practice should be needed) -and if this fails 2. Use a leftward or rightward tea-bag strafe. More commonly use rightward strafe. Tips: -Jumping is not a good substitution for a strafe. Jumping may seem to give you the advantage in normal play but is massacred in professional play. -Jump around corners to surprise enemy while still maintaining a steady amount of fire during the jump. This will disorient the enemy and give you the first shot. Attempt to make it a RUNNING jump. (Practice will be needed) -In 1v1 situations the last minute hop will prevent the enemy from getting the final head-shot and secure you a head-shot giving you the kill. Be sure to time this correctly or you will get killed during the jump. (practice! Practice!) -Try not to challenge the foe too often unless your victory is definite. Don't chase a foe in ANY situation unless the chase will take less than 3 seconds. -

Halo 4 was a leap in the right direction and if the next game is implemented carefully and successfully it will result in an astronomically amazing game. This game ALREADY has the ability to be the amazing game that I'm betting on for next release but is held down by the abundant amount of minor flaws. Like my mom said,"A lot of small messes eventually create one huge one." This game seems to be lacking in this regard. As for the multiplayer population, the maps that almost killed me off were solace and complex. I have since decided to leave the game when these are chosen; occasionally I still play those maps. The mix of games released during the time of halo 4 and the abundant group of small flaws keep away a large majority of players. Obviously, there is no doubt that at least some of the population didn't get halo 4 purely because 343 created it; accompanied with trash talk about the game from those people.

The ordnance will only give you armor abilities. The armor abilities are only limited to hologram, thruster pack, and hard-light shield. Try playing the settings because it works very well; with the br start and 2 grenades it is balanced accompanied with 2-4 dmr insertions around the maps. Railgun and overshield are primary towards map control. There are needlers inserted throughout the map but are pretty much useless against everyone except an overshield user(supercombine). The needler user is easily teamshot and is only effective at mid-range. With distance in mind, the br user would 5 shot the needler user while shortly after being killed by a super combine. Normally, the needler can only get 1 kill; 3 tops. Railgun has 4 shots. If used effectively it can take down an entire team in about 20-30 seconds.

I'm sure if 343 tinkered with the settings long enough I believe they could develop a stable game-type with the same premise.

Variation 1 Double Objective: Oddball/CTF - This is a game type that includes both CTF and Oddball. Both objectives are simultaneously effecting the game. You can capture the flag and hold the ball, just hold the ball, or rush the flag. The oddball carrier cannot hold the flag but they can camp at their base. The score limit is 1000 with each second holding the oddball is equivalent to 2 points. A flag capture is 150 points. This game-type would increase the need for teamwork and should be played on small to mid-sized maps. I would imagine this needing a team size of 6 people Variation 2 Double Objective: King of the Hill/Oddball - The score limit for this game-type is 700. Each second holding the ball and the hill is 2 points. The ball holder can hold both the hill and the ball. When you hold both you will make 4 points a second. This is meant for all sizes of maps.

That would be a great money making feature for the kinect. You should be working with microsoft. I'm sure they would make a couple bucks off you!

Cloud will eventually rule the gaming and computer industry so this article doesn't excite me as much as it should...

I agree with everything you said except the shotgun part and the knights not being distinguishable. The knights are digitalized human organism rearranged into a different form. the shotgun is basically the pesky boltshot that everyone loves. -i want the mauler to be a secondary weapon that is about on par with the boltshot. -i want firefight to return with some halo:odst maps and a flood firefight mode.
-
The elites were more of a challenge in halo:reach. in halo 4 a simple breeze could kill them.

The brutes are nearly extinct during the period of halo 4. There is a civil war on Sanghelios where the brutes are basically being enslaved and killed. The only possible chance that the brutes will return is if the brutes ally with the arbiter's forces. This would also mean that the arbiter must be involved in the campaign as well as create an impact on the civil war on sanghelios. Yes, I would love the brute shot to come back but I still want to keep the concussion rifle. I want the mauler to be a brute side-arm that can be on par with the boltshot.(The mauler would have a faster rate of fire but a strength equivalent to about 1/3 of a boltshot. The spike grenades would be a welcome part of the halo 5 sandbox! I want a return of the chopper and the prowler. I want the brutes to be on the side of the arbiter and the infinity. As far as changing species would go kind of denies 343's input on the "spartan training". Additionally, if you could interchange species from elite to brute in war games people would complain about copying a Gears of War style in the Gears 3 multiplayer. There would also be a significant drop in speed when playing as the brute; something that doesn't appeal to me.

You must accept the library and all the information that comes with it. Hope you do't get chased by a huge paranormal owl next time you go into the library. Maybe if we have another library level in halo 5 you can play as the avatar. maybe Appa can eat the Didact's Cryptum.

You may not remember it but it was in the halo 3 legendary cutscene. Cortana tells master chief that the flood, the ark, and the covenant are finished and master chief replies with "it's finished"
-
I don't have a team and I've been looking for one but I'm free to join your customs!
-
Think of it this way. In halo:CE Cortana said that the halo rings were finished, but they weren't! In halo 3 cortana AND mastetr chief said the halo rings and the flood were finished. Who's to say they were wrong like cortana was in halo:CE.

The new soundtrack was interesting to say the least but didn't match or even convey parts of the original soundtracks. it was well uniformed to the game itself but not the distinct halo feel. i miss marty's depressing music and heart dropping violin sounds. Basically, the only song that was really pumped up in the original soundtrack was the variations of the original "halo" song's halo 3 warthog chase music. other than that all the songs were mysterious and eerie. The older songs formed a cohesive similarity while the new songs don't relate at all, except "revival" and "nemesis". The newer songs seem to tease more than they give. A good example of this is 1/3 of arrival near the beggining with constant repetition. The original halo songs were beasicly descendants of each other. this is something we are yet to notice with davidges music. (we havent heard the next soundtrack). I have been informed and i have known this for quite a while is that halo 5 will be darker than the rest of the halo games. maybe this will mean a return of the eerie and mysterious music, idk. All i am sure of is that 343 wants to take this game in their own direction even meaning changing their soundtrack to do it. yes, i would like a return of the original halo's basic elements but i just dont see it happening. We cant do anything about what 343 does and we should just accept that the game will go in whatever direction they decide to take it in, ultimately leading to failure or success.

Well, we took back earth with relatively weak forces and master chief killed a sh''t load of Promethean and covenant in addition to temporarily defeating thee didact. I think the spartan program is the human races last hope anyway.
-
So the scattershot still trumps the boltshot because of its higher rate of fire.
-
sounds like you hinted on a cheesy plot sequence. space ship full of the last survivors of a nearly extinct species must challenge the enemies which want their total annihilation. hasnt anybody heard that before? so yah... i was thinking around the lines that over the 4 years the human species grew and moved to different planets.

343 is actually purposely updating and fixing things slowly in an attempt to keep the majority of the halo 4 population. they have been adding in gametypes slowly to keep people interested in each weekly release. this plan seems to be working because when i first got halo 4 and played it the first few days the population was only around 190,000 and now its around 100,000. i dont necessarily consider this an effective way to treat halo fans but hay! we're not part of 343 so we just dont know.

In the original halos you didnt get to witness earth fall you were just trying to get it back. the only part that ever showed a fall was the fall of reach. i think it woud be much more dramatic to get to see earth in flames and you were unable to stop it. master chief could still reclaim it if he can manage to kill the didact once and for all.

The music has more of an impact on me in halo 3.

this gives you the "we can rise from the ashes" feeling that was barely hinted at in the original trilogy plus reach. For all of your information i have developed a better plot for both halo 5 and 6. if you would like to read them i will be posting it within the next 2 days. The major parts of this plot will still be incorporated into the new plot. find it in the campaign section of the website.
