This morning I accidently repurchased the Map Pack Season Pass. I had noticed something in the main menu of the game about it and when I was trying to figure out how to download the new maps I bought the Season Pass. I was supposed to have already gotten the Pass as part of my purchase of the Limited Edition copy of the game. One of the codes included in the game mentions "SPECIALIZATIONS;SKINS;EMBLEM;MAP PK". An exhaustive search of my Download History turned up nothing resembling the Map Pack Pass.
After waiting for customer support to open up, I spent an hour on the phone with a nice girl named Kayla. She helped me identify the code in question as the one that downloaded the Infinity Actual Kit. When looked up the Kit on my Xbox it describes it as including weapon skins, a couple of helmets, and an emblem. No mention of my Map Pass. Despite explaining that I was promised by the packaging, store signage, and numerous ads that the Map Pass was supposed to be included in the game, she informed that even though I had purchased the Pass again in error (through the game menus mind you) I had no recourse and that I was simply out 2000 MS points.
I don't necessarily hold the Xbox division responsible, and I recognize my own part in this mix-up. I would however like to know if there is anything 343i can do to help out a loyal customer. Or am I simply SOL?
