Time to order a new Laser unit and break out the soldering iron...

Nope... It's a first gen PS3. Be more worthwhile to upgrade, and save the solder for my airsoft guns.

No...lol I meant that you need a soldering iron to remove the static solder point they put on laser units to prevent accidental shorting while handling and shipping..lmao The laser itself will only cost you around $25 plus an hour at most to install it.
