Ty immediately headed left out of the spawn area. He ducked down behind a rock as the initial pot shots were fired. He could hear Cortez spouting orders. "You! head left!" He heard. He hopped over the rock and headed deeper into the wooded area, moving as close to the edge of the Map as he could.

Cadet MacMillan. Acting PFC. Simulator Ready Room. Lynnot Acadamy, Dublin Ireland, Earth. Ty paced uncomfortably. The simulation was going to start soon, and he had nothing other than a Sidearm to use. He positioned himself as far away from Cortez as possible. If he was going to make it through this, he'd have to work alone. Under Cortez, he'd have no chance.

Ty turned to Anton. "Can't rest. not after all that's happened. All the people we've lost. If I'm not ready to fight off another attack soon, when one does come, we won't make it through it." Ty limped into the Medbay. There were actual doctors working now. A few Hours later, he was patched up and back in the Armory, Loading up to try more simulations. Before he could even stand up, he passed out on the bench, Exhausted.

The constant beeping started to drill into Jozef's ears. The missile had been dogging him for a good 2 minutes now. He couldn't do it. The missile dipped below him, and he let off the throttle and pulled up. the missile Crashed into His Fighter. He felt the fire engulf him. Jozef woke up in a cold sweat. He'd died in his dreams before, But he never got used to it. He jumped out of his bed and walked into his personal bathroom for a shower. Ten minutes later, he was sipping coffee, mixed with some Hangover pills, in the briefing room. The commander walked in. Jozef stood up. "Officer on deck!" he saluted "At ease." Jozef sat down. He and the Commander had been in the Founding members of OFO, and had been friends since before that. But in front of the rest of the troops it was all business. "Ok... We have confirmed that the Insurrectionist base is set somewhere in this trench" The commander Highlighted a long Trench running under Ozguiliath's surface. "We can't map this area, so we need the best to fly through it, and find the base. then, mark it so we can take it out. We do that, and the UNSC pays us enough to buy a brand new Capital Ship. Jozef shifted in his seat. It was no secret he was the one to go to for this, But that trench was unmapped for a reason. nothing can fly through it without being destroyed. How the Insurrectionists had made a base in there is a mystery. The jagged Caves would challenge any pilot to the max, and the chance to make one wrong turn, and ending up at a dead end, had been the end of many a hot shot pilot. But the Respect of being able to do it was the reason he was willing to go. that and the money. His cut from this mission would be well over $1,000,000. But only if they could eliminate the base. "Jozef." The commander began. "You are the best we have. Are you willing to undertake this mission?" "Yes sir. Willing and Able." "Good. We'll have your Berkut ready for tomorrow morning." The briefing broke up afterward. Jozef spent the rest of the day preparing.

Ty rubbed the back of his head. He had cracked the console with his head. "Well that was a stupid idea...." Ty stood up and limped toward medbay. "Twice in one week. Fantastic work Ty..."
-
Jozef and K'dal sat in Jozef's office. Jozef poured another glass of whiskey. "Seriously, It's like these fricken' Insurrectionists, want us to kill them..." Jozef slurred K'dal replied calmly, The alcohol affecting him differently. "Most of them are not trained to fight, they simply do." "Yeah, but what are they fighting? The'same people who fought for them when the original Covenant came around." "They fight because they feel as though they are being treated unfairly." "Free housing, Protection, healthcare. All in exchange for a share of your production and a small tax. Real unfair." "Not everyone finds that tax to be small." "What is this? The Boston Tea party? Is it better to die then pay taxes? seriously...." Jozef gulped down the whiskey. "It's like they want us to kill them." "you said that already." "s'true." "Sure." Jozef slammed down his glass. "Don't patronize me damn it!" "You're drunk Jozef." Jozef laughed. "Yesh. yesh I am." They talked and drank until late at night, when they parted for bed.
-
Ty Coughed up a little blood. "Damn it! Not Again!" Ty's head filled with a haze. He threw kick after kick. Until finally he tried to roundhouse him in the face, and the Arbiter caught it.
-
Ty pushed himself off the floor, sweeping out the Arbiter's legs as he rose. Then he came back down with a heavy elbow to the Arbiters face. He rolled away and stood up.

Jozef walked off the runway. He noticed a familiar Sanghelli walking from the control tower. "K'dal!" "Jozef." Came the usual cold reply. "Come on. 100 missions working together outta mean something." "Right. it means you are lucky enough to live long." Jozef stared at the Sanghelli. K'dal stared back. A "Smile" cracked the Sanghelli's lips. "Gets you everytime friend." Jozef shook his head. "You gotta learn to read when a human is faking it K'dal." "And you need to learn how to 'fake it' Jozef" "Ouch... Alright, you got me. Drinks later?" "Yes. I'm beginning to take a liking to your kinds 'alcohol.'" "I'll make a human outta you yet." "And maybe I'll make you a warrior, but you don't see me 'crossing my fingers' as you'd say." They shared a laugh. "Now Jozef, if you'll excuse me, I need to go deliver the mission report, wouldn't want your recent kills to go unrecorded." "Definitely not! Three more and I'll hit Ace status." "Your fourth Ace status, if I'm not mistaken." "So I'm a good pilot, Sue me." "Maybe I will. Goodbye Jozef." "See ya K'" Jozef walked into the Officers barracks. His door was locked, just as he'd left it. He put in his door code and stepped inside. Jozef sat at his desk and began to file his personal Mission report. "Bureaucracy. Gotta love it."
-
Ty jumped back to recover. "For a hologram, this thing hits hard...." Ty said, feeling a bit of blood dripping from his mouth. He ran towards the Arbiter and Delivered a sharp side kick to the gut, doubling him over, and followed up with a jumping kick to the face.

Jozef saw the target ahead of him. And old Sabre fighter. Flying alone. "Right. Like I haven't seen this trick before." Jozef rolled his fighter over. Flying upside down, He searched the landscape. "There you are!" Longswords. Three of them. It was the oldest trick ever. Present an easy target, Swarm it's attacker, shoot him down. Jozef flipped the fighter back over. "Command, Raven 1-5. Target spotted, Sabre Flying Bait for three Longswords. Moving to destroy. How copy?" "Raven 1-5, Solid copy. Engage and Destroy out." Jozef rolled left and slid in behind the Longswords. He lit up his Sky-breaker missile. The Targeting Computer Chirped three times. Jozef flipped up the safety tab, then hit the launch switch. The missile left its track, Flew for about 300 meters, then split into 6 separate missiles. Only the front Longsword had time to react, and even then, it was too late. The missiles decimated the other 2 Longswords, the last managed to take the hit on it's wing, but it was sent spinning to the ground. "Raven 1-5 confirming 3 Splashed." "Affirmative 1-5." Moving over to the Sabre, Jozef trained his Aiming reticule over it, he squeezed the Stick's trigger. .30 caliber Dum-Dum rounds cut through the Old fighter. The Sabre Broke into pieces. "Raven 1-5 confirming 1 Blitzed." "Affirmative 1-5, No more contacts on radar. You are clear to RTB, Jozef. Over." "Roger. See you in 10 K'dal. Out." Jozef Push the throttle forward. He was looking forward to his R'n'R, And his Offices minifridge was sure to be well stocked with "Presents" for his 100th successful Patrol. "A nice stiff drink would be fabulous right now." Jozef thought. "Followed by a nice Shower."

(( i left the flashback at the point where you can pick it up with a briefing on the simulation. So when ever you want to start it, im good.)) Ty landed on his knees and jumped up, the Arbiter Charged at him, Ty leaped up and Kneed him in the mouth, making him stumble back. Ty grabbed his Arm, pulled it toward him and kicked out the Arbiter's legs.

Jozef Kirenov Pulled his "Berkut" fighter into a climb. It was his 100th combat Patrol on Ozgiuliath. Somewhat of an achievement considering the Antiquity of the Refurbished Su-47, the Old Russian Fighter Jet. The Insurrectionists had made a settlement on Ozguiliath in hope of establishing a fallback point, far out of the UNSC's reach. They had never expected the OFO to be here. Neither had they expected it to be their Home world. "Command, this is Raven 1-5," Jozef Called into his Mask. "Everything seems quiet. Requesting permission to RTB. over." "Negative Raven 1-5, we have a blip on the radar. About 6 Kilometers south of your position. we need you to check it out. over." The distinctively In-Human Voice replied. "Come on K'dal. I've Been out here all day. Isn't Vad'r out here too? Over." "That's a negetive, Jozef. Raven 1-4 had an Afterburner Flameout. He had to RTB for maintenance. You're the closest to it. Over and out." Jozef Sighed, pulling the stick to roll his fighter, and shifting his course to the south.
-
((Sounds fine. PM me and we can come up with some kinda structure for the fight.)) Ty managed to roll to recover and launched a kick to the Arbiters chest, knocking it down, followed by a stomp to the gut.

Ty tried the Simulation again, This time with a Shotgun. The first elite charged him He Ducked down and threw the Elite over his shoulders, Stomping on it's head when it landed. Two more lifted their swords and charged him, He tried ducking down, Like Anton suggested. It didn't work. the Elites stabbed down at him. He rolled to avoid them and rose to one knee, firing his shotgun, he killed the closest one. Ty cocked the shotgun and aimed at the next one. He fired as it charged him. He managed to kill it, but not before it fell into him, causing him to roll backwards, dropping his shotgun. He managed to get back on his feet smoothly with his M6CSOCOM in one hand, and his tactical knife in the other. "Why does that always happen?" He said to no one in particular. He hadn't even noticed the fact that he'd been reflexively dodging Plasma bolts the entire time. He charged at another sword wielding Elite. He slid under its swing and kicked out it's leg, he fired three shots as it fell, killing it. He looked up to see the final Elite raise it's sword to swing down at him. He turned and stabbed its foot, causing it to bend over, he pulled his knife out, slashing it across the face as the knife jerked free. He kicked the Elites leg to drop it to his height, then he jammed the knife into its eye. The final Elites posed no problem without swords. Ty walked out of the Simulation room and sat down, retrieving a water bottle from his bag near his seat. "Now if I can do that everytime, I might have a chance." He said. Ty stood up and stretched. He decided to try a little challenge. Ty keyed in the simulation details. One Elite, Arbiter class. Unarmed. Ty cracked his knuckles and stepped into the Simulation area.
