  1. Prone shouldn't be in Halo. The last thing we need is a carbon copy shooter. (I.E. just another CoD) I wasn't in the first game, it hasn't been in any of the games, and you're the ONLY person I've ever heard mention it. Adding prone would invite campers, something that's already an issue. Not to mention, the lack of prone, as simple of a thing as it is, allows for the game to take on a different feel from other shooters, giving it a good pacing. Call of Duty? All over the place. it's fast, it's slow, it's the same game as the last six.... ADS. I could take it or leave it. The fact of the matter is, one of the things about the Spartans, is they have an actual HUD, not just one that's super imposed in other games. Spartans ACTUALLY have that. Like, IN story. so they automatically have an aiming reticule, same as Marines and ODSTs. So, I'd be fine with it, but there isn't much of a reason to aim down anything but a long range scope. Cooking grenades No. You get enough deaths by frag / plasma / whatever crazy grenade they cook up without it. Cooking grenades is just pointless, as it's not something any sane person does. Military shooters would have you believe soldiers actually hold on to a LIVE EXPLOSIVE to wait for a timed blast. They don't. Pull pin, throw, hope it doesn't hit you. Besides, the different types of grenades would make cooking them complex, as they all behave differently. Randomness. I need to clarify on this. What exactly do you need randomness for? Where should it come from? That's not really something a developer can program, unless they're programming damage rolls. Randomness in and of itself goes against the other things you've been saying need to be added, most of which originate from CoD, which is, in it's very nature, a predictable game; You run around, shoot a guy, get killed by a camper, then buy the re-skin they come out with in a few months. Truthfully, randomness isn't something you can program, nor is it something that can be added with a patch. it comes from the people playing. And I like Halo 4, so.... I don't really care what people say about it, because I'll still like it. Great discussion though.
  2. No surprises there. Work hard, men. Work hard.
  3. XERR-01 Experimental Energy Reciprocation Rifle Mark 1 Mission statement: Create a small, uncomplicated infantry weapon, usable without special training, with the ability to counter-act the Covenant's shield technology, while still providing enough stopping power to be effective. Initially conceptualized after the Sacking of Reach, this weapon had entered research and development on [Redacted] R&D Log: Day 1 The Idea was posed by one Sergeant [Redacted] to provide troops with a small arm capable of dispatching opposing elites with a minimum of difficulty. Professor [Redacted] provided a simplified goal: Supercharge regular projectiles with a form of energy that can disable an Elite's shielding. Day 12 The first prototype of the XERR-01 is produced, utilizing heavily charged Ionization energy, contact with shields caused instantaneous overloads, eliminating the enemy's shield as a factor for extended periods of time. Those involved are optimistic that this will grant the average soldier of the UNSC to wipe out any shielded opposition with a minimum of fuss. Day 13 The first day of testing was promising, as the weapon surpassed expectations. Day 14 The weapon was tested on [Redacted], in full [Redacted]. Proof of concept established. Plans are made to put into the hands of trained troops for a live fire experiment. Day 15 Live fire experiment on a fully weaponized, hand held XERR-01 had unexpected bonus effect. Ionization seemed to spread to multiple targets, shorting out the shields of multiple enemies. Spirits are high as the SPARTAN-IV program begins to show interest. Day 28 Spartan [Redacted] was sent to us to view weapon testing, and showed an extreme interest in testing the weapon for himself Day [Redacted] Facility attacked, Spartan [Redacted] Listed MIA.
  4. Do you know of any ways to enter states of lucid dreaming? (Dreaming, whilst being fully aware you are asleep, for those of you who aren't HIP to the LINGO)
  5. IMO, I think it was a great game, but I think if it had still been made as True Crime: Hong Kong (The title it had originally before Square Enix took over production) it would have been better. True Crime: Streets of LA and New York City were great games.
  6. Ah, the shemagh.... nothing says "I'm an operator/the protagonist" Quite like it. Looks good, though.
  7. How the Mods nominated this month's MoM:
  8. All my experience with costuming comes in the form of pre-made kits for the most part... How long does it usually take to put together one of the weapons?
  9. Less everyone else, more me. Just kidding. Mostly.... Truthfully, a little longer chapters, other than that, anything I'd want to see story-wise falls to personal preference.
  10. For some of the Star Wars costumes I've worked on, we actually keep strips of plastic for patch jobs. Other than that, it's bondo. Now, just a question. Do you put any kind of ventilation in the helmet? Most of the one's I've seen from the group I work with put small computer fans in the helmet.
  11. >See APB: Reloaded for Boss' wants for Character customization. It needs to be more expansive. Halo: Reach had more customization than Destiny, and MMO's are about playing as YOUR character.
  12. Lolz, I have Destiny on PS3 and 360. Sweg.

    1. Cooliest

      Cooliest

      ... I have neither thanks.

  13. Follow up: Who would you want to play Dead Pool?
  14. Yes. YEEEEEEEESSSSS. Do you own any systems from the 90s?
  15. That's nice, Pumpkin. Top three Superhero movies?
  16. Sweg. I like the Nerf Longshot. Good choice of base for the sniper.
  17. We have a winner. Here's your prize:
  18. Planetside 2 is relatively weak. At least in my opinion.
  19. Haven't played ES: Online. I like SWTOR though. The fact being, FPS MMO's are usually weak. Not to mention, it's something that really doesn't need to exist.
  20. Let's have a mind tickler then. There are three animals. A snake, a lion, and a goat. You have a raft that can only carry two at a time. Assuming the following: The lion would eat the goat The goat would trample the snake The snake would poison the lion What do you do?
  21. Unless they're firing Slugs (In which case, slugs would be the appropriate word) You should use Shells. Shotguns use Shells, not bullets. Other than that, pretty good.
