We all would like things to be added to the Halo series. However, neither bungie nor 343 have really paid attention to some really good ideas....(cough cough pelican in multiplayer cough cough...)None the less, 343 did an outstanding job on Halo 4(in my opinion). Congratulations to 343!
With the Xbox 720 coming out this year, Halo 5 could possibly be created for the console. With an even more powerful machine, imagine what 343 could do.....But to business, I believe these small ideas could positively affect Halo 5 and make it much much more fun.
(Please not these ideas are and may be present in other games)

1. Remember playing LoneWolf on Reach? Remember the shock of seeing your TV cracked/shatter? (I ran to the TV in shock)
When I realized it was the game, I thought, "ADD THIS TO THE NEXT HALO!!!"
Image, when your shields get depleted your armor getting damaged. The visor would crack only if they hit your head when your shields are down .

2. Post Death 1st person viewing.
Ever get splattered by a vehicle and see yourself flailing around in 3rd person? It should be an option to still be in first person while this happens. (Imagine the jump scares and the lulz)
This idea would also work well with idea 1. Imagine getting sniped and staying first person. If it was a head shot the visor would crack/shatter and you would see it do so as you collapse to the ground.
3. First Person Vehicles
I think it would be more realistic and fun if the view was first person inside vehicles. However, when using a special helmet...Eva/Pilot/Aviator ...You would have a 3rd person view while driving vehicles. Which leads to my next idea below.

4. Tactical uses for Armor
Remember Jump Jet shoulders from Reach? Or the Sniper Bullets shoulders?
What if they had a use? For example, Jump Jet shoulders would allow a jump boost and the Sniper Bullets shoulder would allow for more starting bullets when picking up a sniper rifle. And a extra 10% shielding when using bulky armor, but with the downside of not sprinting or just a speed reduction.
Anyways, you get my drift.
5. MORE Vehicles.
Bungie, 343, is it that hard to add the Pelican to the forge pellet? Give us what we want....Also please add all those fun brute vehicles and weapons! The chopper is still my favorite vehicle...And let us color the vehicles in forge.
6. Gun Cameo
Have it set in your load out what all weapons should have for their skin. By getting more kills, the more cameos are unlocked.
There would be tactical cameos and just for fun cameos. Imagine the terror the enemy will have when they see you with a pink rocket launcher/red energy sword.
7. Taunts
After playing Saints Row The Third...Taunts would be a great way to laugh while in the lobby and in game.

8. Bring All Maps Back
Bring all those great maps back. With Weather Variations. (Follow the link to see a Snowy Valhalla)
Black out, Zanzibar(Last Resort), Sandtrap, Sandbox, Valhalla, High Ground, Forge world, Ect. AND with Weather day/night variations such as day/night, snowy, raining, sunny. Imagine playing capture the flag during the night while it's snowing. (Follow the link to see a Snowy Valhalla)

10. Particles
In Battlefield 3, when there are explosions, grit and stuff sticks the screen for added realism.
It would be a cool affect to add to the game.
11. Larger Multiplayer
How about 24 player multi player? 3 teams of 8 going against one another? Chaos and a extremely fun time.
