reach wasent a complete fail. they perfected forge in reach which was a huge plus for me plus i think why everyone hated it is because the maps sucked and the gameplay slowed down. i personally believe that bungie did this because they though armor abilities would quicken the pace but that didnt work out. plus in reach you dont feel like a spartan anymore. you take fall damage and cant jump as high or run as fast. thats kinda what killed it for me.

I just ment like for decoration just to see not to actually play with it off you mean like on the player display in armory and in your online friend list you could design a face for your character? i dont have a problem with that as long as the helmets stay on for gameplay.

And maybe there'll be a hundred graveminds and Master Chief has to fight them all! Or maybe there'll be a giant grunt 100 feet tall and it'll be like Shadow of the Colossus and the chief'll have to climb up the grunt and punch a plasma grenade into its eye! If you aren't a total dumbass you'll see my point! All this maybe stuff is ridiculous, as you can provide any number of extraneous or ridiculous possibilities through it. there are many logical ways arbiter could find cheif. just as there are more likely ways that he wont. im just saying its ok to stretch a little bit. i mean dont you think that the chances of the portal closing on just half of the ship throwing arbiter directly to earth and landing safely in the ocean instead of solid ground where he wouldve died and cheif somewhere random in space and happening to drift close to whatever this thing is a pretty good long shot?

idk if any of you saw the other post about this but i gave my theory that this couldve happened decades after halo 3 so its possible an elite ship happened to pick it up and when the arbiter heard about recognized it and set out to find him. it skinda long shot but certainly possible. more likely than the arbiter obsessivly searching the universe for cheif

i dont believe the covenant in any form are coming back. that would make the "fight" unfinished which was the entire theme of halo 3. and i think theres a little too many long shots here. like the chances that the ship would fall to onyx and even then how he would manage to find hasley on the planet. i assume its a large planet. and losing cortana would seem like a rerun of halo 3 when he also has to rescue her. prophet of heresy? if there was another prophet it would have been mentioned in the games. unless this prophet is self proclaimed. in which case its possible that he could have riled up whatevers left of the covenant (if any) and taken refuge in whatever the thing is. this might make a good movie. but players will want to fight things not hotwire the prophets ride and run away. plus its the beginning of a new trilogy as such i dont think master cheif is gonna make it back to earth in one game. on a good note i would be delighted to see hasley and jun appear.

its possible. keep in mind that the elites technology is more advanced than our own. we dont know how much longer after halo 3 this is. it could be decades, in cairo sleep you dont age. its possible that a elite ship picked up the distress and when brought across to the arbiter he recognizes it and immediatly sets off to find it

would you rather him float in space forever? this is proabably just one difficulty he'll have to overcome to get home.

GASP* i never thought about that....now when i think about when he said "were it so easy" my mind explodes. he doesnt think hes dead... i think it would be cool if arbiter came around in like halo 6 and gets him off of whatever thing hes flyng into in the halo4 trailer

actually. i think halo 7 would be perfect. i mena i know it isent bungie but they did have an obsession with the number 7

as long as i have my energy sword im happy. and i also like the br and dmr thing. best of both worlds

i agree with most of this but not with taking off your helmet. i think that would distract from like multiplayer. i think helmets should stay on. but an arm showing or something would be cool.
