  1. Love the chopper the most but why not give us the revenant too? Get the elephant in that list!! Lol Get some Halo Wars vehicles in there!........ Wolverine - Would sort the anti air problem, would shoot its missiles like the missile pod in Halo 3 but could only aim it high and it would be able to launch its frag a short distance every so often so its not useless when a foot soilder approaches. Cobra - Anti tank, its slow and takes a few seconds to lock down and is a sitting duck but can punch scorpions down in one hit but takes two to three scorpion shoots to take it down, thanks to its armour plating The cobra wouldnt be able to aim very high or do huge amounts of damage to spartans on foot. I guess the mantis covers the cyclops. Ideas for the gremlin guys? Vampire - Another anti air, weak armour but can hover and fire a powerful needler. What else.... Vulture? Think id rather see the pelican. Promethean vehicles - One that could maybe do a small hover boost jump to reach a higher bit of ground. Or one that can teleport a short distance instead of a boost - you cant teleport through things though, the game would just imagine where you would have gone if you had just driven in that direction so if it hit a rock, you would reappear against the rock... That eliminates any problems of you teleporting into structures. BUT, having said all that, it would be awesome to have a simple vehicle editor, nothing fancy, disable or activate boosts or guns at will. Remove the ghost plasma launchers and attach anything you want, fuel rod, needler, maybe one of each. Make a spartan laser scorpion or a binary rifle warthog!!
  2. Dr Element (Bob) Scotland!! So when Halo 4 came out my friends were missing crash up derby. So i quickly created one, then that became two and they both got edited and tweaked to perfection. I cant take credit for the crash up derby idea as i discoverd something similar in Reach but i built upon the idea. However i can take credit for the team gametype variant that i think should have been around since the start of crash up maps! Some spartans snuck away from infinity to let off a bit of steam in these warthog battle arenas. Little did they know these acts were outlawed. Gamertag - Dr Element Gametypes - Destruction Derby Destuction Derby Team Ive herd that people are having trouble crating a gametype where you cant shoot each other to death but can splatter opponents. Well here is the gametype youve been wanting to see, assuming you are not using instant kill weapons, the drivers will not die! Destruction Derby team is a well worth download to try so please dont ignore it! Many people prefer the coordinated team stratagy on derby to the old free for all. Dont assume your teamate wont accidently knock you out of the round though! Haha Maps - Destruction Derby Paradise Destruction Derby Stalactite Destruction Derby Gravitation (Please request via XBL message) Description - Suits totally any number of players! But with a full party you may experience a bit of frame rate lag, this soon recovers when people are eliminated. Paradise supports 16 players, Stalactite only supports 12 and is the map for the more skilled derby pros. Each map starts you in a contested hill in a soft 10 second kill zone, so jump in the driver seat and drive down into the arena. Here you will smash and ram your way to victory. Unlike the classic crash up derby, desrtuction derby allows vehicles to take damage, having a crash then going up in flames was too hard to turn off.... But be warned, achieving high speeds on Stalactites outer ring only to have a head on crash may result in death! - Would you try that in real life? Hmm? Once you loose your one life you will respawn in the spectators lobby, here you will find plasma grenades and eventually guns. Some people felt the grenades spawned too often, whilst others got board with doing nothing so there is enough to keep everyone happy. During the team game players will spawn in the teams lobbys. Sometimes a driver will make a mistake and fly into the lobby creating a great fireball moment, "I like!". All the maps scenery has been left open to make the most of the beautiful sites............. Stalactite takes a bit more skill to derby AND throw grenades than your average crash up so only use it for your skilled derby drivers! The center jump is hard to resist, its fun and you can knock opponents out but can also go very, very wrong! As with most crash up derbys, destruction derby maps will spawn more hazzards as time goes by, be careful around the center on the paradise map! As far as i know, all king of the hill elimination games can fault when the remaining last players die at the same time. Although rare, this can also happen during destruction derby, leaving the spectators watching nothing. The time limit is only three minutes so if this happens its not long to wait, otherwise end the game. A good host will know what to do!   3. I made this map ages ago but still i cant get enough of it either! I will be updating the gametype within the next week after testing the removal of the thruster pack. Players have been using this to thrust through the one way shield doors. I will either remove this loadout completely or add a new armour ability. But as with all my edits i will need a few games of testing before this change is released.
  4. Dr Element (Bob) Scotland!! Inspired by watching world war films i wanted to create a trench based map where the scared trench dwellers looked up only to see bullets and mortars over head. It was very important to me to try and capture the feeling of saftey when inside a trench and the fear of leaving a trench. This is what i came up with... The wars games system was hacked to try and simulate a classic world war trench enviroment. Gamertag - Dr Element Gametype - All gametypes set up. Id suggest a slayer or capture the flag, team snipers is great. But play whatever you want! Including griffball. Ill be uploading my World War II gametypes within the next week and will link them when available. I should also state this is not a recreation of the classic trenches type game. Just an all gametype World War map. Map - Trench Description - A symetrical map that suits a 6v6 red vs blue nicely but is set up for all teams and supports any number of players. The red and blue team each get a series of trench networks and underground bunkers. Warfare in the trenches brings out a mix of short range - mid range battles, while on on the surface it becomes a mid - long range war. The sniper rifles on this map are very powerful, make sure your team grabs one at the start then takes out the other teams sniper quick, whilst editing the map i found myself increasing the sniper spawn time more and more because of its effectiveness. On the surface i spent alot of time making sure there was huge open sightlines, especially over the middle, this is to keep players wanting to use the trench for cover and make hard decisions on whether its worth making a dash over to grab a power weapon or make a sneak side attack on the opposing team. The best way to move forward towards the other team is to make your way up the edges of the map, here there is more larger cover items. I chose Erosion simply for the dirty look to all the forge items, it is a muddy trench battlefield after all...... There are four platforms in each teams trench that not only allow a route out onto the surface but also provide a great place to stand and shoot over the open ground, if you crouch here you will be completely hidden. There a four mortar cannons (Wraiths fixed in place) that just look awsome when all shooting. I made it so the wraiths are difficult to use and not overpowerd, although the more experienced players will remember locations on the cave walls to gauge shots. The mine field is a dangerous place to let your guard down, forget where you are whilst jumping to avoid a bullet and you may well find yourself without a limb. Ive spaced the mines out to allow warthogs to drive through, but be careful. The bunkers provide a safe haven... but dont forget your trench gun.... i mean shotgun. The red shows where the trenches are. The blue is the bunkers. The green shows the locations of the main power weapons. I changed weapons on map to ordnance so flood gametypes could be created for this map involving the ordnance and so the weapons on map could be edited with the gametype alone.   5. Id trade all the new forge maps in to have forge world back. In Halo 4 all my maps are built on ground ive created, not using anything already on the map. In Halo Reach it was the other way around. As for never using the whole of forge world, while this may usually be true, at least you could pick and choose which bits to use together. Ex - I had a map that involved the pinnicle and paradiso islands and another that involved the paradiso island leading through the cave to the hemmorrage area. Now if forge world was cut in half i wouldnt have been able to make one of these two maps. So not using the whole thing in one creation doesnt mean making a huge map was a waste of effort. It wouldnt be only for nostalgia. Forge world in my opinion is the best forge map to date and if 343 (clearly) cant beat it then they should just remake it. Having said all this, a large FLAT island with grass in the middle changing to sandy beaches as you approach the forgable ocean would be my dream forge map. With unique parts like trees, rocks, ramps and blocks with grass and sand skins, huge cliff parts to section areas off... Lets just say, all the parts needed to recreate hemmorrage. That would be THE forge map!
  6. The TU did fix the lighting problem. I had various abandonded projects on impact due to it. Some with the big shadow until you get close and others that were broken completely. After the TU i went to check and it generated the lighting. I slapped down the worst possible pieces until the budget was full and it still generated the lighting. Casting shadows from and onto all pieces. As for parts looking red-blue-green in certain places, i still have this problem.
  7. Ill be sure to give dominion a try. Your a good forger, do you build other maps other than competitive maps? Mini games/Flood etc?
  8. The kill balls in the glass boxes look cool. Like the rock passage too!

You loose your shields when standing because theres a trait zone causing it, the trait zone is very low so your feet activate it, when on a mongoose the whole of your spartan is above it so its not active. It does the job of stopping campers in that area, anyone who runs past the sign soon comes running back. Thanks, let me know how it goes, id love to see a saved film of the action.

  11. Dr Element (Bob) Scotland!! I made a map in Halo 3 that involved killing as well as racing. Some team members would stay back and launch ambushes on the racers to stop them scoring points. Its back and has become one of my most popular games. I present to you Ambush Raceway... The raceways original use was for experiments on accelerating particals to high speeds. Now, the spartans practice mongoose takedowns. Gamertag - Dr Element Map - Ambush Raceway Gametype - Ambush Raceway Description - Two teams of at least four players (More is better) race around a simple circuit whilst preforming drive bys. A few members of each team stay behind at the ambush area and launch attacks on the other teams racers to prevent them scoring points. The racers pass through two checkpoints per lap, i found an alternative method to stop cheaters stopping in the checkpoint because i needed the one way shields elsewhere. After each checkpoint there is a pit stop on the left for your passenger to fill up on ammo and collect power wepons, there is also a mongoose spawn here incase yours is damaged. To stop people camping outside of the checkpoint i fitted a soft kill zone, the racers have no trouble passing trough this, also to prevent camping further anyone not on a mongoose here will loose running speed and shields. The track itself is simple, what makes it challenging is dodging bullets, ambushes, crates and abandoned mongooses. On the straight there is a man cannon speed boost that involves taking the prior corner correctly. The ambush areas provide basic guns and mongooses with fine tuned spawn times. There is cover to pounce on the racers from and crates suspended above that allow ambushers to blast down and cause a roadblock . Dominion turrets at the back of the spawn area protect your weapons and people respawning. Theres also a film clip showing off a few tircks on how to play the map. This game was one of my favourites. More information and pictures... Here you can see the crates that can be deployed to make passing through the ambush harder. Tip - Try shooting the mine just as racers come around the corner, this will suprise them and usually result in a crash. A view of the ambush area. The team mongoose, weapon and spartan spawn area is to the right. The pit stop provides the best guns in the game and gives passengers a full pack of grenades. Tip - Keep in mind that carrying lots of good weapons only to get killed in an ambush allows the opponents to pick up your power weapons and use them against your team. An example of a failed ambush. Tip - If the opposing team puts alot of players on ambush duties it can be hard to get past, remember these players are not scoring points and it means your team doesnt need so many players on ambush duties, rally your racers together and stop at the pit stop to ammo up then race towards the ambush together, the opposing team will struggle to stop you all. Its also a good idea to send a lone racer in first as fodder to distract them from the mojority of your teams racers. A map and overview of the map.   12. Dr Element (Bob) Scotland!! Following the popularity of my Ambush Mongoose Raceway I went ahead and created Satellite Storage. A banshee battle, ambush and race playground. To make use of space the UNSC would use zero gravity space containers for storage. Unfortunately some tearaway spartans decided it would be more fun to race and destroy the banshees kept there. Gamertag - Dr Element Map - Satellite Storage Gametype - Ambush Airway Description - Two teams of at least four players (More is better) race and dog fight banshees around and through the storage containers. You score two points per lap, the checkpoints are located at the end of each container. Dedicate some of your team to stay in your teams container and launch ambushes on the enemy banshees racing through using the weapons and turrets provided. You cannot fly through the middle of the outdoor space to take shortcuts, the extreme gavity will tear your banshee apart. More information and screenshots..... This is an example of an ambush. There is a few power weapons per container and some dominion turrets. Tip - Make sure the turrets are online and use the plasma pistol to stun banshees, the turrets will have time to keep stunning the banshee, not many survive this. Another veiw of an ambush area. In this picture all the weapons have been picked up by the team but you will find them on the frames attached to the wall. Tip - There are two gravity elevators and a jump pad to help you reach the upper floor. A map showing you where everything is. Gamertag - Dr Element Map Name - Orbital Duck Hunt Gametype - Orbital Duck Hunt 2-10 (for small parties) Gametype - Orbital Duck Hunt 10-16 (for big parties) Neat and tidy duck hunt map. Had lots of playtesting and tweaking. Have recieved loads of good feedback. Six levels, each level uses a gravlift at the end to move you up. Less cover as you climb the levels, so gets harder for the flood. Round lasts five minutes and at three minutes more cover will spawn to help any flood that are having a hard time... although the rounds usually over by then. Sniper chooses between all three sniper rifles in the game, the binary rifle being the favourite. Recieves various personal ordanance drops to enhance his chances of remaining alive. Additional Information and pictures... Tip - To the top right there is a killball, snipe the fusion coil above it and the killball will start rolling along the top floor, flushing out or killing any flood lingering behind cover for too long. If your the flood on the top floor, check behind and make sure its not coming towards you, if so it can be out runned. Tip - As you enter the sniper box as the flood you can carefully choose which side to approach the sniper from, try tricking him into thinking your going to the other side. Bugs - Not many on this map. With larger parties it can be difficult to get up the gravlifts whilst lots of other flood are trying to at the same time. Most people use the thruster pack so if on the rare occasion you get stuck on a gravlift, use the thruster pack to get off, doesnt happen often anyway. Teleport doesnt light up sometimes but it still works. Sometimes with alot of people joining/leaving the game the connection may cause there to be no sniper. I like to believe the map is cheat proof. Also on my fileshare you will find a "Duck Hunt Template" map. This is a basic layout of the map for people who dont want to have to make a duck hunt map from scratch.
