You have the LE console and are having no issues playing Crimson?

I am having exactly the same issue. After spending about two hours on the phone with XBox support, they eventually told me sadly that they can't do anything because it's a third party publisher (I am pretty sure that 343 is a subsidiary of Microsoft) and that the only course of action I have is to complain on the forums. Verbatim statement. I don't know what kind of business strategy 343 thinks it's running, but I can tell you that screwing over the people that pay them five times more money is not a sound practice. It appears, for now, that our only approach is to raise such a fervor that at the very least nobody will ever buy a special edition console again.

Ah. So I have to pay more money to play something I payed $400 for.

I purchased the Halo 4 LE XBox, which obviously came with the War Games Map Pass. I had no issues downloading the Map pass or Crimson Map Pack, and I have been playing them since. Until today, wherein the matchmaking screen tells me that the recommended content is not available, and I cannot play Crimson. I have checked my storage settings to verify and yes, both items are snug and uncorrupted on my hard drive. Even after restarting the console, the maps are not available, and whether through the console or in-game XBox Live Marketplaces, I am expected to dish out a few thousand extra points to play what I already payed $400 for. Soooo.......
