It will probably have to have it's own specialized playlist. It would start with the CEA FF map I would guess (Hopefully that will be FloodFight), and then all the other maps would be able to be Floodfight too, or atleast the more dark ones, like Corvette would be good for it. What would the infection forms infect? I would think they would infect your dead body, and you would have to fight yourself... Note to self, do NOT use the Rocket launcher.

My Living Dead gametype idea (Sucessful on bungie net)
SilentCO1 replied to IRONMOTOLICADEF's topic in Halo Reach
Yeah, I love those gametypes in Custom Games where you have to make it to the Falcon. This would be even better, and on REAL maps. Or Semi-Reach maps. I would love this gametype. -
That's Hazop... I just watched the video.

Great, someone already made a GRD thread on here. He didn't even look to see if there was a thread like this. This should be made an official thread by Twam because I really don't want to see the Reach forums just about the GRD Helmet. It should all go here.
-
Dude, I made a thread for all posts about the GRD Helmet. Don't come here and Spam about the Helmet. Go to the link that El Silverado listed, that's where you can talk about the helmet.

My favorite part would be when the game is getting closer to the end, the more awesome music comes on (Music should be on it every multiplayer game) and it comes to a climax where the screen turns so bright you can't even see but it wouldn't matter since the game would be over. The first fully zero-g map guys. Maybe have some rooms that still have gravity due to shield doors.

The problem isn't the AA's. It's the community. They abuse them. If you make them pick-ups, with the Reach community, they will just betray their team mate if they get it first and then go cry about it. Same with power weapons on some games. A guy betrayed me today for the DMR on Boneyard in the fire phase in Invasion even though it spawns back in like 15 seconds. It's not even a power weapon. So what do you think people will do when someone takes a jet-pack they wanted or a drop shield or active camo or armor lock or some new better AA. They will betray you obviously. And unless you fix the betrayal system, nothing will happen. Just get over it, 10 months and you're still crying about Armor Lock when you can just nade spam the crap out of them while they're in it until they come out then the explode from all the nades.

I don't know, it would be cool for Custom games. But boats don't really seem like Halo. It would be cool to make a map where everything circles around a center point, you could make an awesome version of Frogger! lol Or make an awesome racing map that would be hard because the platforms move.

You're asking for Attachments... If you want a game that has aliens in it and you're wearing some kind of futuristic battle suit and modern weapons with attachments for them, go play Crysis 2. This is Halo.

I made this thread for all people who want to know about the GRD Helmet. If you want to discuss anything about the GRD Helmet, it will go in THIS thread. No spamming these forums because Bungie won't answer your questions, there is one thread about it, and only one, unless an official 343i employee makes one. But that will most likely not happen, so the discussion on the GRD Helmet goes here. Here is some basic info I know. The GRD (BOB) Helmet was discovered in the Defiant Map Pack. The Defiant Map Pack was created by 343i and Certain Affinaty. The helmet does exist, since it was in screenshots of the maps, but the question is: How Do You Unlock It, and Can You Unlock It? Many people think it is linked to Countdown. There are some signs on several maps, including Unearthed and Countdown, that say GRD and some numbers. This could be the code for what people think is jumping through the holes on Countdown. But, this is what I have to say about it: Don't even bother trying to unlock it until Halo: CEA comes out. You will be wasting your time. Hackers can't get the helmet, so therefore it's not on the disc at the moment. Many people said they saw it on Bungie Day in Tender Loins Armory. First of all, we have no video proof or even screenshot proof. Plus, Evil Otto said he didn't see it. He wouldn't lie to us, he would just say "I can not say anything on this topic at the moment" or something like that. Therefore, it's not on the disc. It could come with the Title Update, or with the CEA Maps. Don't bother trying to get the helmet until then, but, that's just my opinion. So, I'm sure all of you are coming from Bungie.net, so you will want to discuss this. This is where you talk about it. Don't flood the forums with threads, this is where you post all of your thoughts/issues/opinions/whatevers on. Have a Blast.

The Covenant was confirmed not to be in Halo 4. So the Elites will probably be replaced with Forerunner Humanoids or Brutes (Since they still hate us). But yes, I would still like to drive my Pelican, and hopefully there is some Forerunner type weapon that is like a Scarab, or we team up with the Elites to fight the Forerunners in like Halo 5 or 6 and they bring Scarabs and you have to Pilot one to escape because the Forerunners do something similar to glassing and call down a huge beam that tears everything apart but the Scarab is almost destroyed and on fire so you have to fight while you're escaping so you don't take too much damage and die. That would be awesome.

Every week? First of all, they would have to make the game so they could add armor to it (Hard to do). If they didn't, would you want to download 9gb worth of data, possibly more, for a helmet or a shoulder or even a worthless utility piece, and have to do it every week? Another thing, Lagtacular. If that much armor was in the game, it would lag so much because everyone could wear totally different armor. Unless we had dedicated servers.

We can't live off the past Halo games. That's all I'm going to say. If you want those, you'll have to play those games. 343 will not just take whatever was in the old games and add new graphics and some new gametypes. That's CoD's job, just adding a new coat of paint to their games, but nothing really changes that much. New maps, no remakes. Remakes, we've been there, we're getting them in Reach anyway. If you want to play the remakes, play Halo: Reach. Halo 4 needs it's own maps like the first 3 Halos had to define the game. Halo 4 should be known for specefic maps that everyone loves, unlike Reach, it has no definitive maps. Bloom should stay, It's bad enough getting DMR spammed. It should be made so you actually have to time your shots unless you're really close. I agree mostly on the armory. Both wrists should be customizable. Not the boots, that would look extremely weird. There should be 200+ armory items, hopefully more for more originality. Achievements to unlock some armor, but credits to unlock the rest, maybe even finding skulls or data pads or terminals to get some premium armor. Make it so you can color each armor piece (But you would have those people that would make each piece a different color and it would look retarded) and make it so you could make your colors like Jorge, you could color many parts of your armor. Make it so you can have new armor, or war torn armor. Keep jumping and movement the same since we will still have AA's (They were confirmed to be in). Dedicated servers since Reach is really laggy. Player cap updated up to 32 players (More would be too many even for the dedicated servers). Elites probably won't even be in the game, The Covenant was confirmed to not be in this game. Maybe they will be replaced with Brutes (They hate us still) or Forerunner humanoid things. Invasion has it's own playlist, so does Firefight. But yes, Invasion should have AI and bigger battlefields to actually make it feel like an Invasion. But make the AI as similar to a normal player as possible (This would be hard to do). Maybe give you half a kill for killing an AI (Unless it's like a super unit, like a Hunter or whatever would replace a Hunter in Halo 4). Campaign, long, re-playable, fun. That's all I have to say.
-
Bloom? Why do people complain about it? It's how a gun works, either that or they use Recoil which I think would be worse. The gun moves upward while you shoot, that would be extremely annoying. Bloom is easy to use. Use 3 shots with the AR from far away, and you can still spam a DMR from far away across hemmorhage and still hit every shot without timing your shots. Bloom should be made "Worse" or what I would say better.
-
AA's make gameplay more fun. I've never seen someone use Sprint like that, to run away, only to get closer to someone to double melee. And Bloom is better too, more balanced. Without it, the DMR would be even more overpowered than it already is. You should be able to time a shot to the head or just spam them anywhere on their body before they have the chance to run away.
-
AA's are already confirmed. They aren't that bad, it makes things more interesting. But yes, we definately need good maps.
-
AA's will be in it though. I don't mind them, they make it more interesting and fun. But yes, definately better maps. Most of them aren't good at all in Reach. And definately no weapon attachments or Aiming Down Sight, this isn't Crysis 2.
-
Hayabusa probably won't be added because it was a special deal with Bungie with the guys who made Ninja Gaiden I think. But sure, maybe the Terminals in Halo: CEA will be in Halo 4 too, replacing Skulls.
-
Option to use your combat knife (You could choose what it is, the options could be like, default, Kukri, Plasma Dagger (Things the Elites use in Assassinations), and some others). Sentinel Beams. New Forerunner Weapons. Some new UNSC Weapons.
-
Make FireFight Battle. Both sides (UNSC And Covenant or whatever will replace the Covenant in Halo 4) have AI's that drop off each wave. There are 7 waves, if you win one, you get a point, and you get to keep your AI's if you won the previous round. You get one life a round though. There could be a bonus wave, just for fun, it doesn't count as a point, after the last wave that makes all your AI's Super Units when they're dropped off (They could be Spartans Or Elites Or Hunters or Whatever). Another thing would be to add something to defend in normal Firefight. Like a portable generator type thingy. You can move it around (only inside a certain area though so you can't throw it off a cliff or out of the map. You can build defenses such as turrets, vehicles, barriers, weapon supplies, Barracks to spawn Allied AI, Supply Pads to give you more money/points to buy things in additon to getting money from killing enemies.
-
I don't know about pick ups. Everyone would use it as like a power weapon, rushing for it and betraying people if they don't get it. Just give everyone it, but make the AA's more balanced and fun to use. Like keep Jet-Pack and Sprint, make Hologram more realistic (Make it so they look around while they're walking, nobody walks straight and it's easy to tell if it's a hologram), Make it so AL doesn't give out an EMP, and you have to wait until you stand up to melee once you're out of it (To stop all the ragers, I'm fine with AL), Active Camo, i'm ok with it but others hate it. If you see someone go into active camo, it jams their radar too, so you can sneak up on them because you know where they are. You know when somebody cloaked is nearby because your radar gets jammed so look in the direction that all the jamming is coming from. But add some others, atleast 10 AA's.

I don't really agree. 250 credits a kill is a lot. That would promote Spawn Killing. And K/D shouldn't be involved because people get better over time and it would create boosting (Camping, Spawn Killing, any of those). Keep the system the same, but make performance about equal to game completion, to stop people from getting kills then quitting and still getting a lot of credits, but also stopping AFK'ers because they would have to get kills. No penalties for deaths though. I like the credit system though so keep it.
-
I guess the map wouldn't be as great as I thought it would be.
-
Don't get mad at them because they're adding AA's. If you don't like them, don't get the game. They will probably take out some of them because of all the complaints even though it's totally fair because you have access to it too, and will add new ones.
-
AA's aren't a problem for me. I just don't want to go on the forums and look through 100 rage posts before I find soemthing worth reading. So I would say just make some better ones. Keep Drop Shield, Jet-Pack, Hologram, Sprint, and Maybe Evade. Those don't get complained about. But Active Camo and Armor Lock do.
