Lets be realistic, what are we going to dual wield in this game aside from Magnums, Plasma Pistols, and BoltShots? I like the idea of getting Dual Wielded guns in Ordanance a little better, like two really decent SMGs or classic Plasma Rifles. Even that idea is unrealistic as well though.

There should be a perk that De-scopes people when you shoot them. Perfect for any would-be sniper.
-
I think there should be playlists in FFA where you can't have a party. That might stop people from using teamwork... maybe.

I just played Halo 2 on my original Xbox last night with a friend and noticed that I couldn't aim at anything at all--even on a 1!!! I didn't remember it being like that when I first picked up the game years ago and having been spoiled on Halo 4 for a while, I found the "effect" as you have desrcibed to be quite punishing. Of course I didn't really think there was anything at work or not at work until you brought this up, which is quite funny. That being said, I found it extremely difficult to adjust to not having this aim acceleration on as I said before, even on a sensitivity as low as 1 BRing anything was difficult. I would prefer to have more control over my aim though, and I don't believe in an option to turn it off/on because eeryone should be on an equal playing field for maximum competitive gameplay. Of course, that is merely my impression.

People will complain even after the gun is nerf'd because most people that get kills with the BoltShot are generally within 15m of their target in the first place. If I am one shot and I got a triple kill with it, It was because people were in my face and they couldn't avoid the OHKO distance anyway. Besides, any half-decent camper will learn to adjust to the new range difference and be able to abuse it when you unextectedly turn the corner. It definitely wouldn't end the practice of the dreaded "BoltShot+Camo/PV combo". That will still be a common strategy as long as it is avaiable from start. In fact, you may find more people using it than less, because some people might think it would actually be a little less "cheap" and some how be more justifiable to use since it has been "nerf'd". As long as this occurs people will still complain.

Lol, that sounds unrealistically cheap. If I could get in-game DLC for a game like Halo for that little MS points I would do cartwheels. I'd say they might charge 200-300 for a pack of colors. BTW, a Silver charged plasma pistol shot would be so cool.

What isn't wrong with splitscreen? Forge maps lag, big maps lag. And I am not even talking about online. This is the only Halo I can't sit down with 3 buddies and enjoy because of the framrate dropping.

I like to go onto Regicide with friends and talk loads of smack just for the fun of it too. It is hilarious to hear some of the responses you get sometimes. However, these two guys were practically holding each others' hand. They were inseparable.

I have had a few games like this already where there will be two people camping on a corner on Haven and Adrift and teamshotting anybody that gets close. And one of them will be king, so people will just rush them and feed them kills like a bloodthirsty lion. Quite annoying. I have also seen the inverse of this. I was King on Adrift and was holding the corner myself. Then all of the sudden I see three blips coming at me on my radar at once through one of the tunnels. I threw a frag and was able to kill one and cleaned up the other two, winning me the game. However, when I watched it in theater from their perspective, I actually seen them all group together and run side-by-side as if they were all united by the singular purpose of killing me. It was so unexpected because I hadn't noticed anyone working together during the bulk of the game, but I doubt that the ambush was unintentional. No randoms just run in a group of 3 to bumrush the king. Weird. Has this happened to anybody else or is it just me cuz I play too much FFA?

And I mean that in the literal sense as in I have no actual confirmed source for my information. Just stumbled upon it reading random messages on the Internet (I know, sounds sketchy) Can anyone confirm this, because I have tried Google and my searches have been quite inconclusive. If he did win, then wow. I actually didn't expect a well established Halo Pro to win the truck. I always assumed it would just be some random no-name that came out of nowhere. Thoughts? Or if someone else won, let me know.

Only if the armor is jewel-encrusted gold that comes with a "moneybags" emblem. I mean, this armor should look like it came off an episode of "pimp my Spartan." Cuz if you are going to show off that you can afford armor others can't then you may as well do it right.

So I've been thinking about how the kind of DLC that will likely come out for this game might include weapon and armor skins/camos. Well, my thought was that it would be cool if instead of different skins for weapons like the Plasma Pistol and Storm Rifle, you got some new "energy cells" or something to that affect that would change the color of the shots discharged. How cool would it be if the Storm Rifle were to shoot red shots like the brute plasma rifle from Halo 2? But why stop there? You could pretty much make them any color. I also thought it would be cool to have different colored energy swords too, but those aren't loadout weapons so that would be irrelevant. I doubt it would ever happen, so this is just wishful thinking on my part. Just a neat little thing I thought up, however I am sure if they do release player customization DLC it would be more like armor/skins, which are always cool too.

I am not patient enough to sit there and watch the game go by waiting for some chump to turn the wrong corner. I have a more engaging approach when it comes to my playstyle, the the camper mindset to me is just totally passive.
-
You don't. It will just be a playlist like all the others. Just start the game up, go to War Games and it'll be there waiting for all us "competitive" types.
-
Yeah, I was never one to complain about it or praise it myself. This game has so many issues, the BoltShot nerf really doesn't even make a dent.
-
Yeah, cuz everyone sits around and plays the Campaign all day because it is so spectacular... Real talk though, all of the players that swamped Halo 3's population have long since moved on to CoD and Minecraft. "Wave of the future", I guess.
-
That is really subjective. I mean, I would agree that Stability is the best specialization perk, but it is real garbage outside of bigger maps. Also, what gun do you use with it, a DMR?
-
I like Battle Rifle start. AR's... Yeah, I guess it would be alright if there was Battle Rifles on the map for pickup.
-
I always start slicing and dicing other flood at the end of a round.
-
I have been making a lot of DMR/BR users rage with the magnum lately. Ever since I heard it was just three shots and a melee to kill someone I was just all over it cuz I wanted an excuse to use it. Now that I have gotten better with it, it is very easy to steamroll people with primaries just as long as you have a steady hand and trigger finger.
-
Or they are camping behind a corner and bumrush then melee with the assault rifle.
-
Most "competitive" settings do, and it was announced that there would be no radar in the new "Team Throwdow" coming out.... this Monday I think?
-
Sounds like Star Wars Battlefront territory to me.
-
When did it get nerf'd? Is this in effect now?
-
No, I would just rather have regular Slayer. Leave the objective stuff for the teams.
