I know it is pathetic that they turn around and five shot me. Their strafe is pretty fast while mine pales in comparison. That is why I have been frustrated. So the scenario is this: Dude is on the lower edge of Haven near one of the ramps (as you would expect to find a smart player) and just nailed some flunkie with his BR. He is working his way up the ramp to the top (maybe to get his shield up cuz he might be 2-3 shots) I come in from behind and nail the first hit with a DMR. He turns around and starts rapidly vibrating and I miss every other shot. The end result is I end up being dropped like another flunkie. The sad thing is this played out for the duration of the match. I sort of felt like there was nothing I could do about it because he outgunned and strafed me every time. Exact Same thing happened on Adrift with a different guy, except that game was WORSE. The guys played so well I wanted to say he cheated but I knew very well he wasn't, he was just that good.

More like the Helmet on while he is wearing a dago and boxers and a ciggarrette in hand.

I know and the thing is that they never stay in the lobby. They always leave post game as quickly as they appeared... Like ghosts. I tried to ask a few for Haven 1v1, only Battle Rifles and No radar so I could "study" them but they never respond. I almost feel like they are just snubbing you because they know you are beneath them. Oh, and I would hardly call those games competitive. It was probably more along the lines of shooting fish in a barrel, or being the fish getting shot at from mine and everyone else's perspective.

Evidently it isn't just an "opportunist's game" as I called it before and you need crazy mad skills to play it. I don't know what is up with the way the match finder is working. Maybe it is because I have played the playlist so much, or maybe it is the time of day I am playing (I play around 6-7:30 AM so maybe I am catching all the all-nighter zombies), but I have had my *** thoroughly whooped, signed, sealed, and delivered back to me almost every game. It is like every game I have played lately, I am being destroyed. It isn't by those people that go just for regicides, or by the nuisance AR/Surpressor users that generally don't even break even. No, these guys just had mad skills with nothing more than their BRs and Magnums. I am being killed by people with Godly accuracy with their BRs. And their strafes? HA! Don't even get me started. Those are not strafes, those are rapid vibrations that I have no hope of tracking with my crosshair. I am talking about people that are going 30-5 while being the king the whole time while the next highest score is more like 11-18. Like, I played one game earlier and no one broke past 130 points because the King just would not have it. Us mortals are barely scraping by with our DMRs and Assault Rifles netting like 8 kills, while the King almost always finishes near 30 and a minimal amount of deaths. And the worst part is there is always one guy like this per lobby. I try to outstrafe them but their shots are so perfect. When I catch these guys off guard they just turn around and 5 shot me to death like I was a target practice. It is actually quite pathetic. They are like the kind of whoopings you get that make you want to take your Halo 4 disc and set it on fire. I feel like I am a decent player but there is just no way these guys should be pulling the things off that they do. Not unless I am just sucking a lot with everybody else in the lobby, I don't know what to think any more.

lol. That reminds me of a quote from KOTOR II: "I thought you Jedi were supposed to be married to your lightsabers..." When asked about why you don't carry a lightsaber.

Do you guys find that when certain games like RPGs present you with moral decisions, that your choice is a reflection of who you are?

Sarah Palmer. The courting begins with a few rough patches but soon flares after they share a fine whine from an Elite's skull during a Requiem sunset.

Honestly, I always hated Recon armor. The only appeal it ever had was exclusivity, which, based on what you are telling me, it eventually lost. In fact, I like armor that is hard to get or is very exclusive. Lol, they always have this awesome feeling attached with them--not in the design--but in the fact that not too many people have it. "Hey look at me and my armor none of you have!"

Is there a way to see other player's perspective (besides your own) in 1st person in theater? Cuz I haven't figured out how.

If you want 343 to listen, chances are you are better posting this where they can see it.

I think 343 could have done a better making both casuals and competitive players happy. Hopefully whatever data or input they are getting out of Halo 4 will go into making Halo 5 the best of both worlds. I realize it is easier said than done, but it would be nice to see an effort. I have nothing against Competitives or casuals, everyone has the right to play the game they want. But when you make a game that caters more towards one demographic, you create a polarized community an that isn't good for any game.

Here are my ideas: Perfection (BTB in vehicle) DMR Plasma Pistol Plasma Grenades Jet Pack (for mobility) or Camo (for stealth) Wheelman Dexterity or Ammo Perfection (BTB no vehicle) DMR Plasma Pistol Plasma Grenades Camo (for stealth) Mobility Ammo or Ordinance priority Precision Weapons Challenge DMR or BR Plasma Pistol Frags Promethean Vision Ressuply Dexterity The point of this is to get people one shot with the PP and extra grenades so that Precision Weapon Kills come easier. I have no good ideas for automatics cuz I really don't use them.
-
Also, I see a lot of people Jetpack whenever the are turning a corner religiously. That really makes me mad when I place a good Nade and they just fly over it.
-
Making people two shot with the grenades is a different story when you're trying to actually get kills with them (for the mastery)

Well obviously we both misunderstood eachother and the logical course of action is to forgive and let bygones be bygones.

Of course older games had aim assist and magnetism. Where did I ever say in my post, "All other Halo games besides Halo 4 don't have Aim Assist and bullet Magnetism". You should really try and quote me saying that. I would love to see what you find. In fact, you won't because I never did say that anywhere in my post. What? I can't word something a certain way without someone trying to twist my words just so they can make an argument where there isn't one? And smh @ you just "supposing" I was wrecking in the early days of Halo. It was quite the opposite really. You had to put in the time to get really good at the game and I never did. Also, I played more Star Wars Battlefront at the time. THOSE were the days.... But I am not butthurt about it. You're just so... Presumptuous. You think you can gather a life story from a few posts on a forum. I wouldn't try to make rash generalizations about you an your lifestyle based off some of your posts, but I guess it is a mistake to extend that kind of credit to others on the Internet. Keep your cynical, condescending Judgements to yourself because no one needs them. To be honest, those (God) kids had every right to destroy you. They put in the time and yoeu didn't. And if you have that much resentment over it that you feel the need to disparage hardcore gamers like that, well you must've been very frustrated whenever you put the disc in the console, what can I say lol? I was probably no better than you, but if someone beats me I will admit they deserve the win. They probably wanted it more and put more work into it than I. It is like playing the guitar, there are no shortcuts to get better. You have to put in the time, effort, and energy to improve. But most of all you have to have the drive to get better.

I see this a lot when people discuss things they miss about the older games. They miss being able to just wreck people unopposed. I would attribute that to the 6 second shield delay AND the lower skill gap in this game compared to others. In 2 and 3 the skill gap was higher so good players could just dominate while people on the lower end were just pulverized. And really, why shouldn't you? You put the time in to get better and more skillful at the game, so why shouldn't you be able to destroy people who haven't? In this game between the DMR magical aim assist rifle, BoltSholt, sprint, instant respawn, and ordinance, the skill gap has been dramatically lowered favoring casuals more and punishing those that used to rely on the higher skill gap to pull off their streaks. Maybe that was intentional on 343's part. Maybe they don't want people to be "Gods" at Halo anymore and are trying to be like Prometheus and give fire to the masses. We already have a game out in the market that plays like that (CoD), and Halo didn't need to be like that. I won't go so far as to say that those on the lower end of the skill gap were the ones wanting these changes in Halo. Or if they did they were unaware that the skill gap would decrease due to seemingly "harmless" additions like sprint. Once you think about this it only makes sense why the competitive Halo scene has shrunk in this game. This game is so uncompetitive because of the lower skill gap that the only way to rememdy it is to butcher the settings to something that barely resembles how regular matchmaking is played. And really, if you have to work against the game so hard just to make some decent MLG settings, chances are the game isn't really MLG material. And I use MLG in a broad sense, not in discussing the league but the competitive scene in general. Well, given all that I can only draw the conclusion that shooters such as Halo 2 and 3 are considered archaic relics in the gaming industry and the magic that was there is now dead and gone. I highly doubt 343 is going to totally go back on all the work they did to make Halo 4 and say, "Well, we screwed up!" and come out and make a Halo 5 that is like the older games. No. They will probably keep what they have now and probably work a little harder on balancing issues and not Laing the same mistakes they did with 4, like not having File Share up and running to begin with.

Yeah, I have had difficulties with the timing on the hammer while there are guys that will pummel you every time you go at it. I can't find any consistencies.

You'd be surprised the smack people will talk to me and it comes in clear as day. I wish I was that lucky. However, I can't say people don't say funny things when they are mad.

My armor was a combo of Hayabusa Chest and E.O.D. Head and shoulders. Those were the days, when certain prices of armor actually meant something. Anyone ever get recon?

The competitive playlist--when it comes out--might feature extra jump height. Sometimes they alter the settings like movement speed, weapon damage, etc...
-
I got one on accident today. I thought I was throwing a frag and it happened to e a pulse grenade. Killed him somehow. I won't argue it.
-
I didn't insinuate anything, except calling you out on that one post. If you want my opinion, I really don't care about a truskill rating system. A competitive playlist would be cooI, but I could live without the system. I just draw the line where people start saying you should play the game a certain way. No offense implied, Mr. Mays.

I just did it out of the blue and they were RAGING in the post game lobby. They were like, "which one of you [explitive] in the Mantis teabagged me? I'm gonna rip your head off next game!" It was quite humorous, to say the least.
