  1. No one can prove they stole directly from CoD, but we all know what direction Halo was taking when we opened up the multiplayer and looked inside, don't we? It wasn't a Halo in the spirit on last trilogy, it was a Halo in the spirit of modern FPSs, namely CoD. That is what makes it a knock-off. Just like those cheap brands you buy the the grocery store. Same stuff, different flavor. Oh, and I'll admit my previous argument wasn't well thought out, but. I'll be the one to admit a mistake.
  2. Why don't you quote me saying that and we'll talk Billy.
  3. Lol, you are joking, right? You actually believe that you need documentation to copy something and sell a similar product? C'mon, ever here of Transformers? How about Go-Bots? How about LEGOS and Kiddicraft Blocks? How about Hydrox cookies and Oreos? What about all the products Samsung makes that blatantly copy Apple, like their Tablet, phone, appstore, home designs, etc... Where is the paperwork for those stolen ideas? Ever walk into an ALDI grocery store? You think all those knock-off brands have contracts with the name brand companies they are ripping off? No. They just make cereal that looks exactly like cocoa puffs and tastes ALMOST like cocoa puffs, but they call 'em choco-balls. How about Walmart? You think they need written documentation from Dixie to make their own brand of paper plates, or just about anything Walmart makes their own brand for? No. If you believe game companies can't skirt around copyright laws the same way every other corporation that copies it's competitor, than you (not you, just anyone who follows this train of thought) are just naive.
  4. People like to argue in technicalities and specifics to make their "no-big picture" argument shine more. Example, "care packages are not exactly the same as ordinance, so it wasn't copied" Yeah, technically it is different, but the functionality and the result are the same. Hit a preset kill limit, get something to keep it going. And that is the big picture and that is why people avoid it when arguing about this.
  5. Just cuz they are playing in a competitive playlist doesn't mean they will be on the same skill level.
  6. Yeah, people that actually live longer than 45 seconds actually find themselves running out of grenades more often than not. Also, most people will use their grenades before they engage you so scavenging spares with ressuply is hit or miss. Especially on modes like Regicide where you can't always rely on team shot to get their shields down that little extra bit.
  7. BoltShot! Camo Camping! No Ranked Playlists! Sprinting! Halo Is Dying! BOOGAH BOOGAH BOOGAH! Sorry man, I was just watching some Courage the Cowardly Dog. I love Eustace.
  8. Let's put it this way: most competitive settings have a BR start and don't give you the option between the BR and the DMR because more people would overwhelmingly choose a DMR over a BR in that situation. For that reason the BR would be the spawn weapon while you would have to go out and find and fightbfor a DMR, like you would for a Sticky Detonator or a Sniper Rifle.
  9. Yeah, who are YOU to tell people that they are playing the game wrong?
  10. Well who ever administrated these forums should really try and fix that. Not unless they like taking advantage of the fact that people think this is 343's official site as a way of drawing more members.
  11. Really though, how realistic is it to think that 343 would actually implement anything even similar to what your proposal is asking for
  12. Him and that Eux guy should be friends: "I'm not complaining about grenades, it just makes me mad when they are thrown at me"
  13. Lol, people like to explain things 100 times. DMR has faster kill time and more aim assist associated with it, so it is pretty much better.
  14. Lol, I get destroyed on Meltdown, especially on Dominion. There really isn't too many good ways to hold B if your opponents are competent.
  15. I have to say the thought probably never in my lifetime would cross my mind as to who Master Chief would marry. Thank you for imparting me with a totally original idea today that hasn't been regurgitated by someone else.
  16. I think we would all have our own dark moments as it is what it means to be human--especially tempting to indulge on dark thoughts when you have the power of the force to act on them. Good thing Jedi have such a strict code. There is no emotion, there is peace. There is no ignorance, there is knowledge. There is no passion, there is serenity. There is no death, there is the Force.
  17. You are already dividing the community by segregating them by country and shunning ones with lower speed connections. This isn't center stage at MLG, this is just a ******* playlist. I bet you not nearly as many people that want to play ranked playlists have connection speeds that are up to par as you may think. BadIntentz, I like a lot of your ideas and we're on the same page on a lot of stuff, but with all due respect you are off your rocker with this one.
  18. Yeah, I am to put it bluntly. But you can interpret it as a real life moral decision if it will make it easier for you to choose. Like, you can easily metaphorically connect the lightside of the force to good or bad. In doing so you are essentially labeling yourself as "good" or "bad", but I am not trying to put that kind of spin on it. Putting it into the context of Star Wars and the force makes the subject more approachable as it is more detached and you can have fun with the discussion.
  19. Why does "rather not stick to the past" wreak of euphemism? Were you like, not a fan of the higher skill gaps 2 and 3 offered?
  20. I actually think it is better because to me Spartans seem to be a lot more deadlier and formidable than elites. That, coupled with the fact that the real people you are going up against ARE humans, you can sort of role play in your head your in combat training with a bunch of other initiates aboard the infinity. And why shouldn't you loadout with alien weapons in a simulator? A Spartan never knows what will a happen on the battlefield and would do well to familiarize himself with his enemies weapons as well as his own. See where I am coming from?
  21. Multiplayer battles are all just simulations of the infinity, so they can have limitless possibilities. That is why they're called War Games.
  22. I am going to stick ressuply and explosives on a few loadouts and see if it gets underneath people's skin. Maybe they will start a petition to have them banned or nerf'd or whatever they do to things people whine are OP nowadays.
  23. Only advice I can give to you is "play smarter". Don't put yourself into a corner where you can be easily naded. Don't turn a corner where you know an enemy is too fast, odds are they threw one first.
