I haven't seen it done. If someone were to pull it off I would concede that either they are a good player or a good AR user. However, anyone that plays the gametype consistently will note that most AR/Surpressor users barely break into positive numbers if they win. It is always a score of like, 19-21, 22-20, 17-19 with a considerable amount of Regis. And no, I am not trying to generalize either. I am just going off my personal experience. If I see someone break past 10+ and they won, they were using either a BR or DMR. Or on the more rarer occasions, a BoltShot. But I don't see to many BoltShot kings as having the marker over your head ruins the element of surprise.

If a Halo 2 Anniversary came out, I am sure very few people would be playing Halo 4... Or Halo 5 for that matter. Not unless Halo five happens to be like the new Halo 2. I don't know.

Has anyone been noticing that a lot of teams will camp in one corner of Adrift the whole game? I mean, I am not complaining about it, but I find it very hard to uproot a team that employs this strategy. You can't go in by yourself otherwise you will be made into Swiss cheese. If you go in numbers of more than one you risk being naded and one shot because the enemy team almost always sees you coming. And on the off chance you actually get them out of there, the team will just spawn on the other corner and camp there, repeating the cycle. Anyone have any counter measures to this? Once they get a point or more than you they will just drain the clock so I feel an aggressive strategy is almost mandatory.

If Bumper Jumpers could use Jetpacks without clawing I would be all over it... One can only dream. I swear 343 didn't put in mappable controls for that reason.

Not in my loadouts!!!

Nah, if I was better I would be pulling a decent KD and winning. I have seen plenty of people go 15+ on Haven Regicide and still win by 70+ points. And you can bet your bottom dollar they were using nothing more than a BR. THAT is a good player. Not somebody that just barely makes it going 21-22 with an Assualt rifle and got first place cuz the King was at max bounty and he had 265. I realize that the meaning of a good player is subjective, but I find it harder to do what the first guy did than the second.

I thought I noticed that too but I would have to hear from others to know for sure if they finally fixed those things.

Well, I see no harm in that. Just know FleshBack went on the record saying Aim Assist is good (to an extent). It is easy to misinterpret people's meaning on the Internet. I figured the fact I used the word "noob" was a dead giveaway cuz I generally don't use the term. And I figured the phrase, "Halo doesn't need the population numbers anyway..." spoke for itself. Anyway, once I seen the, "this is directed at one person directly" part I just had to defend myself. "Well I know who he is talking about!!!", I thought to myself, lol.

You know my post was sarcastic right? smh I should like, just put [/sarcasm] at the end of some my posts seeing as how my sense of humor is so dry. Sorry you posted this in response to me. If they took off aim assist I may well give up on this game, I am not that good enough of a player in the first place. Aim assist is the only thing supporting my playing.

No TU, just Community Forge Maps playlist, Spartan Ops season 6, and Pioneer and Pathfinder unlocked for those who don't have it. I reay don't like too many of the forge maps as they tend to lag for me and all look the really "bleh", but that is just my opinion. So as far as I am concerned, the only thing different to me is the population is slightly higher due to the update. Like 70's coming back to rank up more and things like that.

Halo does need to be saved but we won't be the ones to do it. We have no voice on these forums and all we are doing is really venting and spinning our wheels, going around in circles mindlessly. Competitive players arguing endlessly with casuals for no reason other than the sake of arguing. I have noticed the pattern on the forum for a few weeks now and I am sure others have as well. The bickering is getting us nowhere, people interested in having their opinions and voices heard need to show some initiative other than starting another "OMG HALO IS GONNA FAIL" topic which amounts to little more than wasting the time of the people that respond to them. How many times over the last few days have you read posts like: "DMR and BS need a nerf" "Halo 4 needs a true skill ranking system" "Randomness is killing this game" "We need an MLG playlist" And a lot of posts don't really deviate from those ideas. And the people that like Halo 4 come in and say the game is fine and the franchise is running strong and people go around in circles arguing over the same stupid stuff that never got anyone anywhere and never will. It is actually a sad thing seeing a community destroy itself from within...

Fallen Warriors sounds like a defeatist name.

On Regi which is my main playlist I pull 5-9 generally if I have a full screen to myself. I will be honest I don't play too much else to notice a consistent score.

The video game population just didn't decide to throw their PS3's and 360's out the window. Obviously they are playing something else. These people bought Halo 4 and said one of 3 things: 1. Oh, I see what they did to Halo. They turned it into CoD. Well If I am going to play CoD I might as well do it right. *puts in CoD:BO 2* 2. Oh, there are no visible true skill system or MLG playlist? Maybe next time Halo... 3. Man I really love Halo, I hope this is as awesome as three was... Wait, why are there instant spawns? What? Where did that guy pull that Saw from, his ***? What is with this pocket shotgun and why is everyone running around with them? This is nothing like Halo. *waits for next Halo* There are probably a few scenarios I missed, but you get the big picture. These millions of people that bought the game obviously they planned to play it. They just got bamboozled when they realized the game they were playing was pretty terrible in comparison they could be playing.

Yeah these maps lag A LOT. I play quite a bit of splitscreen online and it is a shame these maps aren't as playable as they could be.

Wait two more weeks and you will have them all for free.

It is a start. And if we don't start anywhere then we have already failed.

I never said I didn't like Regicide... well I did, but I was saying that lightheartedly. I guess I dislike the point/scoring system.

On maps like on Haven it is really easy to be bumrushed by somebody with an AR that just instant spawned behind you (probably someone you just killed an used your last grenade on). You see Assualt Rifles and Surpressors on there, Adrift and Abandoned. I have yet to see someone seriously and successfully use them on much bigger maps, but I could be wrong.

You guys know where Halo 5 needs to go guys? Underwater. That's right, mini-subs, small ships, reduced gravity underwater, amphibious assaults. It would be epic.

Sometimes my sarcasm doesn't bleedthrough too well onto my writing.

Well it is sort of like how some caddies know all the ins and outs of Golfs but just can't hit the balls. So instead of becoming professional golf players they become instructors, mentors, and caddies with a deep and well versed understanding of the game. And I bet if the guy from limitless were to play this game, his ability would be able to go so far as to almost predict what "random" ordinannce people might have and when they would have them if he were able to recognize when they had the appropriate amount of kills and what gun or boost a player would pick based on their current situation and the playstyle he analyzed. He would probably also know when someone were to spawn right behind him. Man, it would be awesome to play the game like that, but I am sure a guy that smart would be utilizing his time in a more constructive manner than playing Halo 4. Not unless he was just doing leisurely things.
-
I agree with you. I for one would hate the idea and I would probably drop Halo like a bad habit. I was just giving a sarcastic example of the company catering to hardcore players in the most extreme way. If you ask me the playlist populations are low enough already without Implementing some hairbrained scheme such as this.

That is cuz BoltShot+PV is the more common combo.
