  1. There are more things it doesn't need than it does need. A regular FFA playlist. That would be nice. I mean, I have the DLC but it would be cool to do Haven, Adrift, Abandon, and Complex on FFA too.
  2. Post on the boards in between games or read a book or something. You'll be better for it, I promise.
  3. I still don't see how dynamic armor/permutations landers to casuals. If anything, it should cater to the more hardcore among us who would like to collect every single piece of armor and master the commendations.
  4. That's great info. However, I really want the alien Blaster that comes with the Wild Wasteland perk, and Small Frame seems like it is just too good to pas up. Do you think I could get away with maxing my stats without taking skilled? I dunno, that is my dilemma.
  5. Alright, that answers a lot of my questions. I dislike how you can't max your stats, but oh well... Do you remember what starting perk you picked, cuz they all seem like they don't help much.
  6. Back when I played Fallout 3 religiously, I often opted for the "Perfection Build". I would lower my Charisma to 1 and make my Intelligence 9 at the beginning. This would allow me to take all my character's skills to the maximum level of 100. I would then take the Almost Perfect perk near the end, which brought all of your S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats to 9, then hunt for the bobbleheads to get them to 10. This would basically make for an unbeliavbly powerful character. My question is this: are there any similar builds like the one I posted in New Vegas? Is there ways to max all your stats out? If not, then what would you guys suggest for similar or nearly as powerful builds? Also, what would be the best starting perks to take? I am quite stumped on that one.
  7. Uhm, video not found? Could be because I am in my iPhone right now. I will try it later on my laptop.
  8. What is the current argument against dynamic armor these days? I am afraid I am quite out of the loop on this one.
  9. No, the covenant Elites are not like Jedi/Sith. Any Jedi (and especially a Sith) would DECIMATE an elite, whether it was 1v1 or 1v10. The force would allow any half-competent Jedi to be able to predict his adversary's moves before he would know he was about to make them, via prcognition. That is why they are masters at deflecting blaster fire, as they always know the trajectory of the bolt. Stormtroopers have bad armor? Please. The movies give characters something called "plot immunity", and don't do the technologically advanced Stormtrooper armor much justice. The high density plastoid armor Stormtroopers wear is extremely durable and was designed to withstand almost all harsh conditions, including extreme heat, cold, acid rain, and even the vacuum of space for a period of time. The armor system is so durable that kinetic weapons like bullets wouldn't put a scratch in it and it is almost impossible to kill a stormprooper with a slugthrower unless it was abnormally large or hit the stormtrooper in the glove of visor. It is also designed to absorb and disperse energy weapons throughought the entirety of the armor rather than taking it on at the point of impact. A stormtrooper could survive a hit from a Spartan laser, let alone the low yielding damage produced by covenant energy weapons. Stormtroopers are also outfitted with very destructive weaponry; they don't work the same way as Halo weapons. The Blasters that smugglers and military alike carry discharge high intensity light that is condensed in the form of a coherent cylindrical bolt. The power of which varies depending on what the weapon is set to (stun, high intensity, whatever), but at full power the blaster would be capable of 1-shotting a Pelican or Phantom. Any covenant infantry would be destroyed. The Tie-Fighter could take on an entire Covenant Fleet if it had to. Each one of those laser shots from their guns is the equivalent of 2 kilotons of explosives, and they can fire 480 times per minute. That kind of weapon damage would incinerate a Banshee and phantom and would do critical damage to a large covenant cruiser. Mind you, Imperial Star Destroyers carry hundreds of these. Star Destroyers have turbolasers that discharge power on the order of magnitudes of terratons on the high end and gigatons on the low end. There are over a hundred of these guns firing every two seconds. You wanna talk about how the covenant glass planet? Let's discuss how a single M-Class Star Destroyer can turn a planet into molten slag in under an hour. There is simply no comparison between these two universes. The only people that will disagree are the people that simply watched the movies and left it at that, when in fact 90% of the lore and the hard data and facts we get are provided by the expanded universe. It is like people who only play the Halo games arguing with people that have played the games and read the books. They don't have enough canon information to actually understand the argument at hand.
  10. What is a good level for Spartan Laser Ordinance? I don't too much BTIS so I am unfamiliar with the weapons spawns/personal ordinance.
  11. If Halo Reach had not been such a radical departure from the tried an true Halo formula Bungie had developed over the course of three highly acclaimed games, so you guys think that so many Halo players would have jumped ship from Halo to CoD a few years back? That isn't rhetorical, I really want to know from people that think they have an answer. I think the story with Halo's declining population begins with Reach and was magnified by Halo 4. It might have even begun during the ending phase of Halo 3, but either way that doesn't change my point. If Bungie had come out with Halo 3 part 2 rather than Reach, would the franchise be in decline as it is today having one in a totally different direction?
  12. Yeah, cuz I cheat by using gameplay mechanics that 343 has given me. Nah, I have never gotten a single hate message when I have ran this set. I only get that stuff when some moron keeps bumrushing me with an AR and I keep BoltShotting them.
  13. FleshBack

    Tips anyone?

If he was trying to show off he would be posting his Halotracker. Though I will be the first to say that it isn't a totally accurate reflection of skill, but most people like to use it for bragging rights. "Haha, look at my 3.00 KD and my 50HTR, I am so MLG!"
  14. Halo multiplayer isn't ready for teleportation. Bottom line.
  15. This has been one of my favorite classes. The Infiltrator Battle Rifle Magnum Frags Active Camo Mobility Dexterity This class is designed to do what the name says: infiltrate. It is supposed to get you close to the enemy fast, preferably midrange where the BR is most effective, and then proceed to light them up. Active Camo is used offensively rather than defensively on classic Camo camping set-ups. If you get into trouble, mobility and AC also provides the means to vanish as quickly as you came. Some may prefer to use Plasmas rather than frags since you will be getting close to the enemy. However, I like frags and hate plasmas. I also use a Magnum rather than a BoltShot on this set as the BoltShot encourages camping which is the antithesis to this loadout. You will want to play aggressively with this set, but playing tactically is important as well. Recommendations: Infinity Slayer, FFA, Regicide (When not the king)
  16. I think there is more skill attached to out-BRing someone than winning a BoltShot duel, simply because it takes more attention and concentration to do it. So, yeah I agree with you that isn't as satisfying as it was in previous Halos, but I still get more out of it than using other weapons in this game. Killing Frenzies, running riots, and Overkills can be quite easy because of the overpowered nature of the guns we have in this game. On the same token, however, it is easy enough to get cut-off mid spree for the same reason. Someone DMR'd you from across the map, you turned a corner and met a crouching BoltShot, etc...
  17. Honestly, who "enjoys" the BoltShot in the first place? It has long been labeled as a "noob" gun and everyone knows it. Like, if I got a kill with it I wouldn't get the same satisfaction as I would have if I out-BR'd someone, and I think most people (including BS users) feel the same way because they understand there is an intrinsic cheapness to the gun. The Halo community has made it a taboo to be satisfied with BoltShot kills.
  18. I still need Perfections I only got 2. How many do you need to master it?
  19. The fact that people still use automatics on Haven in anything not named Regicide is beyond me. And even on Regi a halfway decent BR/DMR will still lay waste.
  20. Nah man, Loadouts are an integral part of matchmaking so the topic belongs here. And I already said that Perfections are dependent less on your loadouts and more on the tactics you use and you ability to stay alive. Loadouts only supplement your strategy.
  21. Congratulations 343 on making the very first BTB/Small Team Slayer hybrid. All that is missing are some vehicles.
  22. I like the idea but I wouldn't want to see it implemented. It just screams OP. It would break map design, which is already being thoroughly done by the Jet Pack. It would make grenade placement pretty irrelevant. "I am not even gonna turn that corner, cuz I can just teleport around it." It would be totally dominating if a whole team were abusing it. Imagine you are by yourself and all of the sudden three guys come out of nowhere and massacre you before you even know what hit you. Thruster pack already performs a similar function to this, getting you out of hairy situation fast or giving you that extra boost to certain areas. In fact, it gives you all the benefits and none of the OPness of teleporting. People with Swords and this AA would be absolute monsters. Granted, it would be fun, but that doesn't always translate to balanced. Those are some of my thoughts on the subject.
  23. Are covenant and forerunner destroyer completed in Campaign or Spartan Ops?
  24. That's cool and all but I am in Chicago. Keep doing what you are doing though, as you are providing a valuable service to the Halo community. Bringing people together to play Halo like that is what keeps people remembering why Halo is so great in the first place. I see your point though, with the prevalence of online gaming Halo has become largely a "faceless" game, which is probably why Spartan customization has become so emphasized in newer titles.
