Hardest Campaign Level on Legendary (POLL)
Seeker of Truth replied to PrometheanSigma's topic in Halo 4
Reclaimer; specifically the canyon leading up to the structure where you meet the Librarian. Snipers at all angles and a ton of Grunts, with a frosting of Elites and some Promethean sprinkles. It took me ages to get inside the structure the first time. -
In recent episodes of Spartan Ops I've noticed that the battle seems to be significantly swinging in the UNSC's favor. I mean, there have been significantly fewer Prometheans ever since their power core was destroyed in "Nothing can go wrong" (Episode 5) and Jul 'Mdama's rebels seem to be starting to weaken as well. I wonder if Season 2 will take place on another planet. Maybe we'll be helping the Arbiter sort out the Covenant Remnant on Sanghelios. Who knows? Has anyone else noticed the pressure starting to ease a bit in Spartan Ops?

Hmm. I liked Lasky to start with, but he's beginning to remind me of Miles Quaritch from Avatar, who is a total *******...

Annoying AI is annoying. I cannot think of one thing he did to help the Spartans, and seems to be little more than a pleasure-seeker. Plus, he has a number of extremely cheesey lines ("Oh, no, Prometheans! ...Isn't that how you always say it?"), is immature, and generally seems to be just there for comedic relief. Kind of how the Grunts were in Halo 2. Anyway, does anyone else find Roland to be extremely annoying?

Sorry for this, but I don't know how she could still be alive. Even before you get to the Composer, she seems to be dying from her rampancy. Then if, and that's a very big if, what was left of her survived the nuclear blast and clung on on other parts of the ship, then she would have deteriorated in space, as the Didact's ship seemed to be mostly in small fragments and certainly the entire ship would have lost the internal atmosphere. Now, outer space is the closest natural "substance" (not sure if that's the right word) to a perfect vacuum, but it isn't completely empty. It contains all sorts of tiny particles like protons, which would devastate any electronic device in minutes.
-
No, it wouldn't. It would be stupid, actually, for four reasons. 1) It would make her sacrifice in Halo 4 completely meaningless. 2) There is no possible way she could have survived. First, she more or less tore herself apart, getting all that data back together would have been a problem regardless of the circumstances. Secondly, that nuclear weapon would have vaporized everything in the surrounding area, including the systems supporting her. Finally, if by some miracle fragments of her had "clung on" on other parts of the ship, they would have degraded pretty quickly in space. 3) Even before the final encounter at the Composer, she seemed to be "dying" from rampancy. 4) Halo 4's story would become pointless.

Most Promising Ideas for Halo 5
Seeker of Truth replied to ForgeMonitor's topic in Halo 5: Guardians
@OP, The locust is kind of a mini-scarab. I'd like the return of playable Sangheili, along with friendly Sangheili and Unggoy NPCs. Scrap the boltshot. That thing is for bad kids. Bring back the plasma rifle, spiker, brute shot, and plasma repeater. A map on Sanghelios would be nice. Please, please, PLEASE, bring back Forge World.- 11 replies

Isn't the Librarian on the side of the humans? Just another note, but is anyone else interested in finding out where all of the Prometheans are coming from, why they are still loyal to the Didact etc.?
-
Elites don't have fur, what are you talking about?

53. Taking on a scorpion with a magnum

My favorite is Exile. It has a variety of different environments, with open spaces and narrow, close-range encounters. It has all sorts of weapons, vehicles, and items and allows you to choose your battles.
-
Who could possibly hate the Sangheili? They're intelligent, noble and extremely honorable. Plus they saved the human species at least twice, first when the Arbiter and the surviving Councillors stopped Tartarus from activating Installation 05, and then by destroying the Flood-infested cruiser that crashed in Voi. I agree, bring back playable Elites and, if possible, make them friendly NPCs again as well. It would be nice to have a few friendly Unggoy in the mix as well.
-
And keep in mind that the Prometheans aren't the only threat. I'd really like to see you helping out the Arbiter's forces while fighting the Covenant remnant. It would also be epic to play as the Arbiter again for Halo 5.

Today while playing BTB, I made a sword lunge, and then, after a black screen, I noticed that the enemy had vanished. I was also having a LOT of difficulty moving, almost like my character was trying to do the opposite of what I was "telling" him to do. Then I realized that I had a SAW, which I hadn't had before. Suddenly one of my teammates started shooting at me and I thought it was because he wanted my weapons. I went up to him and hit him with my energy sword...and he died, which was strange, but even stranger was the fact thatit wasn't counted as a betrayal by me, but rather an enemy kill. That's when I got suspicious, so I looked down, and sure enough, I seemed to have four legs. I was somehow in the same body as the enemy that I tried to hit with my energy sword. So has anyone else had some unique experiences with lag and glitches in Halo 4?

Continuing from my previous post: Multiplayer Maps A large, Forge World-like map. A forest map, like the one from Halo: CE (forget its name). A map that takes place in outer space. NOTE: I don't mean one that takes place on a cruiser or space station, I mean one where you pilot things like Seraphs, Phantoms and Longswords and battle each other in space. Having two cruisers as bases would work, though. A map on Sanghelios, Balaho, Eayn or another one of the Covenant homeworlds. Guardian, which took place on Palamok (the Drone homeworld) was amazing. A large map with two Mammoths as mobile bases (like Sandtrap), where the objective is to destroy the enemy team's Mammoth. Firefight & Spartan Ops First and foremost, I'd like BOTH of these gametypes in Halo 5, but separate. Firefight should have Spartans and Elites on the same team, defending their position against the AI. To prevent friendly fire, either take the hostile Sangheili out of Firefight, or give the player-controlled Elites conspicuous waypoints. Also, please put Prometheans into Firefight. Longer Spartan Ops missions, please. Maybe one or two close-quarters Firefight maps. Forge Once again, the return of a Forge World map with varied terrain, water, cliffs, mountains, forests etc. The ability to create linear, co-op maps. The ability to create objectives for those maps (i.e. make objects that open doors when activated, explode when shot etc.) The ability to insert friendly and hostle AI into the maps.

Don't know if this forum already has a thread like this, but in case it doesn't, make up medals and achievements here. I'll start: Campfire: Kill 5 opponents with explosives without dying or moving. Ranger: 5 sniper kills while jetpacking without dying. Eye in the Sky: 10 sniper kills while jetpacking without dying. Both Feet Off the Ground: Complete a Campaign level on Heroic or Legendary without killing a single Promethean Crawler. Pay Attention!: Complete a Campaign level on Heroic or Legendary without killing a single Promethean Watcher. Lowly Peasant: Complete a Campaign level on Heroic or Legendary without killing a single Promethean Knight. Seriously, How did you Manage That?: Complete the level Reclaimer on Legendary without dying while not setting foot in a vehicle (including the Mammoth), picking up a weapon, or using grenades.

This should help: http://www.halopedia.org/Sangheili_civil_war Basically what's happening is that there has been a rebellion, these are Covenant remnant, a division of the Servants of Abiding Truth, which have turned on the Arbiter and the other Sangheili keeps who have rejected the belief in the Great Journey. Most of the Sangheili seem to still be loyal to the Arbiter and have accepted the fact that the Great Journey was a lie, but a few are just stubborn, I guess. I believe 343 announced that there will be friendly Elites and Grunts for Halo 5.
-
Yeah, I agree that Regret seems to be the least evil of the three Hierarchs. He might have even believed in the Great Journey, unlike Truth and Mercy, who just wanted the Sangheili dead.

This made my day, lol. Brilliant!

Ripa 'Moramee, the Halo Wars Arbiter, was my personal favorite character from Halo Wars, and probably my third or fourth-favorite Elite. To start with, he was a very good villain. He had a complete disdain towards humanity, viewing us basically as a disease that needs to be cured, Also he's absolutely brutal with his fellow Sangheili (the Zealot that follows him around gets knocked down at least twice) and intentionally puts them at risk. But also 'Moramee has an interesting backstory. He turned on his own clan and attempted to kill the Kaidon, only to be imprisoned, and when the Prophet of Regret visited him, he said that he only wished to die fighting. He was released and became the Arbiter, and in the end, he did get his wish, dying in battle. So what are your thoughts on him? Discuss.

Here are my thoughts on Halo 4. Plot = Stupid Campaign = Decent, but could be improved upon Multiplayer = Really confusing, never played it much. I wouldn't advise playing it if you're interested in the Halo storyline, as it directly contradicts what was established earlier on (it shows the UNSC encountering Elites in 2531, for instance, when they didn't actually see them directly until the Fall of Reach, and encountering the Flood 20 years before the Battle of Installation 04). Nope. The campaign may be good, but it's not canon.
-
Can you think of anything about grunts that ISN'T funny?

Here are my top 10, from least favorite to most favorite: 10) Modern Warfare 2 9) Star Wars: Republic Commando 8. Battlefield 3 7) Unreal 2 6) Halo: Combat Evolved 5) Bioshock 2 4) Halo: Reach 3) Halo 3 2) Halo 4 1) Halo 2

Fix it, 343. This is getting ridiculous.
