Halo 5:Playable Elites(please watch it,343)
TheNasalKnight replied to Thel Vadam's topic in Halo 5: Guardians
Brutes are just retarded Spartans in terms of ability and stuff, and in appearance they look like gorillas. They are just too familiar. Elites are dinosaur, bad-ass, samurai-like(and everyone loves samurai) in culture, spartan like things. They are so much more interesting, and we have already played as elites before, so why shouldn't we now? So yeah, I agree, no one wants to play as Brutes, and tons want to play as Elites. So it should be added. Maybe in the campaign we could have the Arbiter return? And have a multiplayer mode where you can be elites? -
Not to mention that most of the remaining elites are neutral/with the Humans, and not against.

We need a Halo 2 Anniversary. With the xbox 720 nearby, Halo 2 will be left 2 generations behind! I think that after Halo 5, we should get Halo 2 Anniversary. Who agrees?
-
I think that Johnson deserved a heroic death, and not just die because a robot went insane. What do you think?
-
Yeah, Johnson deserved a better death. He should have gotten a heroic death, after saving the Chief or something. Not just because a stupid robot went crazy. I like Cortana's death though. It'll help build Chief's character, which is what 343 are trying to do.

Top 5 things I want in Halo 5.
TheNasalKnight replied to Scott Mcmullan's topic in Halo 5: Guardians
Imagine this, the Arbiter gets brought back and fights with Master Chief in Halo 5 and they develop a really good friendship. And then in Halo 6, the Didact kills the Arbiter. Imagine how angry the Chief would get, he'd think of all the people that he lost, Keyes, Johnson, Cortana and the Arbiter, and in his rage, he'd charge at the Didact is a final boss-battle like thing and defeat him, -
Didact's War Sphinx should be in Halo 5...
TheNasalKnight replied to Delpen9's topic in Halo 5: Guardians
Nah, Earth has to stay. Every other colony can be crushed, and Earth could get close to destruction, but Earth has to stay. We are already used to the Earth being pretty much defeated(Halo 3, the Covenant pretty much controlled Earth), but having the Earth completely destroyed would make all our efforts in previous games in vain. And 343 would not, and should not, do it. -
What do you think will happen in Halo 5? I think that it will keep focusing more on the Chief's humanity than the machine part of him. They said that it will have a darker feel, and Cortana is just after dying so he'll probably be all depressed in it and they'll try to show us that a bit. But obviously we are going to be fighting 1000 billion aliens and we don't really know who we'll be fighting and why. The Covenant are all but dead, and they wouldn't attack humanity at this stage. Unless the humans attack the Covenant, I can't imagine another human-covenant war. And plus, Chief has always been more of a defender, he doesn't really run off to conquer planets for the human race. The Forerunners are all dead, save the Didact who may be alive, but what can he do without the composer and his prometheans? So I can't really think of what they'll try to do. What do you think will be the story?

Halo 5:Playable Elites(please watch it,343)
TheNasalKnight replied to Thel Vadam's topic in Halo 5: Guardians
Elites are the best. The Arbiter was a real bad-*** and I'd love to get to play him again. -
So, this would've been based around Halo 3?
-
He said 299 which is basically 300, not 200...
-
I'll miss the saving Humanity from Covenant stuff, but if they have the Covenant invade again, it would just be stupid and it would also just be giving us Halo 2 version 2.

For example, finding a car, taking it apart to find out how it works and then putting it back together.

Halo 4 Campaign Thoughts-- The Death of Cortana
TheNasalKnight replied to CrazyZilo7's topic in Halo 4
Both of the threads had the exact same question, so I knew I'd just be saying the exact same thing again anyway. -
I was kind of sad when Cortana died, which is pretty amazing considering I never cared about her before I played Halo 4. I thought that Halo 4's campaign could have been longer...and also, the campaign felt kind of forced almost. In Halo 3, they pretty much wrapped up all the Covenant, Flood, Halo crisises and those were what the Halo series was meant to be about. The Didact storyline felt like something that 343 pulled out of their arse to give the game a story. But, while I felt the campaign was forced, I enjoyed the game and I like how Master Chief is developing. So, eh, I don'y like or dislike it really.
-
The reason why the Covenant were so advanced was because they discovered Forerunner artifacts and weapons. So they probably found Promethean weapons and designed theirs to be similar.
-
At the end of the game, as we saw Master Chief walking slow-mo looking like a baws, the Didact was talking. I'm too lazy to write the speech down, but everyone who completed the game should know it. So, what do you think he means?

I don't get why you guys are so attached to Cortana. I felt sad when she died, and my eyes were fairly watery, but not playing Halo just because she's gone? I don't get that. I played Halo CE, 3 and 4 and I'm not getting this massive connection you guys are. Anyway, her dying was needed. The protagonist can't win without sacrifice, and he ended up losing Cortana. Also, losing Cortana makes him wonder more about the things she told him over the years, like the "Which one of us is the machine here?" thing. That and the fact that you got a glimpse of his face is showing that the Chief is becoming more human. This trilogy is the reclaimer series. Master Chief is the reclaimer, and so this trilogy will obviously be about him, his flaws and qualities, his losses and his gains, and most importantly, him turning back into a human. He got a major loss in Halo 4, he lost Cortana. Cortana did not know what it was like to be a human, and neither did the Chief, but they both made each other more human. And so, Cortana was very special to the Chief, and by making him lose her, they are really pushing forward his character development. Knowing most game developers, he'll probably get her back at the end of Halo 5, but I seriously hope not, it would be too cheesy and happy-ever-aftery.

EDIT: Also, to the people thinking that Master Chief is retiring: That is a really stupid thought. 343 know that if they removed Master Chief, hardly anyone would still play Halo. Also, the next trilogy is going to be about his development, so of course they are keeping him. He was probably being given the new version of the Spartan armour.
