I find the chapter quite interesting no doubt, good co-op gameplay and all but... I feel like the solo gameplay form was neglected during the testing. (assuming there was one) I say this because in solo gameplay I find myself constantly annoyed by the fact that the spartan AI doesn't shoot the conduits (or generators or whatever they are), instead they constantly shoot at the artelary like no tomorrow. Now naturally I decided "hey if these guys are that bad at aiming, might aswell do the shooting myself."... but when I hop in the gunner seat the spartans drive me against walls, are unable to drive up small inclines without constantly going back and forth and driving me away from the mentioned conduits... and occasionally stopping and making me a sitting duck for the artelary. Long story short I would like to know if anyone else is having this issue and, if so, is it a glitch or what? (Before you type... I'm talking about the spartans constantly shooting the wrong thing... I already know the driving's been bad since Halo 3)

At the end of the level Infinity the ship itself was able to fend off multiple Covenant cruisers and the Didacts ship while being completly imoble and vulnerable. Lets not forget the Spartan Ops introdoction scene where the Infinity practically RAMMED a Covenant cruiser in half without taking hull damage.... and lets not forget the Infinity's primary weapons used on Midnight which opened a hull on a forerunner ship. The only reason it couldn't fight back was because the weapons were jammed when the Covenant hit it the moment they landed (or crashed and walked away without even a scratch) on Requiem. Also... the chief learned what the didact wanted and learned how it functions. The Chief completly informed Del Rio of it... and he told the Chief that "whatever he thought he saw" couldn't be a reality and called him and Cortana, and I quote: "an aged spartan and a maltfunctioning A.I.". Infact he seemed more disrespectfull towards him in a few circumstances like the when the Chief asked what was the assesment from the recon team... Del Rio completly acted like the kind of guy he does not want people to question him... infact the more I look at him the more I get the feeling he is just concerned with his military career. Because if he cared AT ALL for his crew then WHY would he sent a scouting run in the middle of an attack on the ship? Finally, when the Chief disobeyed and left Infinity, how did he endangered the crew? They were ordered NOT to let him leave the ship but they allowed. Chief in no way endangered anyone with that move, the only exception being himself and Cortana.

More info on Bungies next game.

Risky Gamble: A whole new game made with an original storyline and with only a few inspirations on it's design? Normaly my instinct would tell me to avoid it... but right now: it's telling me to wait and give it a try. -
I've been around since Halo C.E., I have followed anything Halo related and I... damn this takes a lot of time, maybe just say: I Halo Fan!

B Armor lock's been REMOVED since last year and I find bloom good as it is. Why I find bloom as good as it is? Simple: spamming =/= rapid pacing. Most people that complaint about spammers on dmr battles actually encountered rapid pacers, which consists on pacing the shot but pulling the trigger the second bloom is restored. This gives the feeling of spamming but isn't. So...... no, why fix what's not broken? Some people just learned a skill that is easily mistaken. The only way I can see every one okay with that is if bloom take longer to recover. But then they would complaint about how long it takes... so either way, there's going to be complaints. Edit: Also, people asked for a more classic Halo on Reach, meaning no assassination animations, dual-wielding and no health bars. Well guess what: Before Reach came out it was requested a more classic halo... which is health bars, no dual-wielding... and then they just added a few things. And to add these new features they might (might) need to change everything in the game. Which could backfire and just brake it... To be honest, everyone should just be pleased with what they have instead of just wanting for something else or just plain more and focus on the future.

Exp being everything wasn't my intent. Clearly, our goals here are the same. I've seen and read that much... What I've typed is no more then the comunities desires and make things more fair and fun for all. If both of you which to undertake the endevor it is not my place to say otherwise, only ask that please keep in mind these requests from the comunity so you may know what to bestow them with.

he can't become infected by the flood... he has a rare nervous system disorder wich prevents him from being infected by the flood, he did in fact become infected but he didn't mutate, instead he gained healing and super regenerating abilities, so maybe he didn't die at all and will be back to kick some ancient ass!!!!   Wha... what did I do???

Sry buddy, but i have to disagree! Havent you read the posts of Rafter or myself? I think that my friend Raf and I found a very good solution for that big problem! He put his and my suggestions into one very good post! Please read that almost perfect description of Raf how Halo 4 could or even should be! One Question. Why do you call yourself TheAncientGamer if you wanna have next-gen? (Sry i hope that doesnt sound naughty.) Or are you already older than the most gamers? Here is Raf?s (the best) description of Halo 4: Tottaly agree. Options and variety is a go for me PS: Thank you very much Raf for that fantastic post, where you have mixed our ideas for Halo 4 !! THAT POST HAS TO BE (SHOULD) READ BY EVERY SINGLE MEMBER IN THIS FORUM :!: !!!!!!!!!!! BIG THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO (HAS READ) READS THAT POST !! So let me get this straight: Rafter mentions to learn from past mistakes to create something better. Lets see: friendly fire... all it takes is one grenade at the wrong time to shift every thing. Less booting and less people harrasing their team just because they have friends on the other team. The Ranking: a Hybrid system that grantes what the majority wants and that's been around from the previous Halos plus a system that provides founds to buy armor pieces they unlock? I call myself TheAncientGamer 'cause I've seen what most of the players do and contemplated how to help make things better. 'Cause I've experience what goes on. How can we learn from those mistakes if what I've posted is what the comunity's been asking and provides better gameplay for all????? I've seen that coment up top and in NO WAY is harmed by the options I posted. I'm sorry if it did, but it doesn't. Edit: Deranking was a major issue for people in halo 3, like this, they don't have to experience losses because of it. A lot better then bungies solution for the Arena 'cause only the people who wants to start over have the liberty of doing so without wasting time. Please read my post carefully and keep in mind I seek only to find comum ground for all, not some.

Playing since Halo CE and like Reach...... Here's what I know about the vast majority that left Reach for Halo 3: I made a poll to see what was the number one cause, over 60% said "the BR", a weapon which is so easy to aim, easy to use and barely misses a shot. When I asked their opinions about armor lock, very, but VERY few had valid reasons, the majority was "didn't get the kill" or "got emp when I stood close to it or melee it". Which shown me a great deal act before they think. When I asked about the DMR, most of the 50's came down on me and said: "Can't get a kill" or "too random" or "It's broken", when I asked why and how come, I found out most of them spammed the trigger FROM A DISTANCE. Like a said before: very few provided legit and understandable excuses why they didn't like Reach while most just hated. This was done the month Reach was released.

(Ancient heals)... we could have been allies you know ( )... Muahah But seriously now, both guns have just as much reason to be a part of the game, maybe with luck both will.

Next Gen Halo. But all I want is a well balanced gameplay, each weapon has it's function. A hybrid ranking system: Cr is still existant, but armor isn't unlocked by rank (to make it fair for everyone). Rank is obtained by the 1-50 part of the system and exp is awarded by wining and removed by quitting. Cr's only function is to award players with funds to buy the armor they unlock, Cr is awarded by killing an opponent + objective (even more if they are the ones to do it) and doing feats like killing sprees. A more fair armor unlock: It's unlocked not by rank but things you do in the campaign, if you complete the campaign in any level you gain an armor to show, from the simple (ODST by completing in easy) to the complex (like, Forerunner armor by completing on legendary) and by finding terminals on the way. (permutations and attachments by performing special feats in campaign or multiplayer, like sniper spree unlocks recon attachments for all helmets)(Completing on higher difficulties unlocks both its armor and lower difficulty armor) Firefight and firefight forge with A.I. implacement (Hostile and Ally). And lastly, for all you derankers, a switch any player could use at any time to remove their rank and skill so they can start over.(so they don't have to lose matches and make everyone else on his/her team angry for it) Also, NO FRIENDLY FIRE! I've tought of all this thinking about what I've seen/experienced.

If I'm not mistaken, Reach was supposed to have this gametype but wasn't uploaded due to some kind of problems. To bad too, it could have been fun.

BR is too easy to aim and use for me, a D.M.R. isn't. But cannonicly Halo should have a BR due to storyline. So either way for me.
-
The BR is TOO EASY to use for me, I'd prefer a D.M.R. since I have to pace my shots depending on the distance. But the D.M.R. was a BR prototype so maybe BR for the sake of the storyline.
