I think you should take the basic design of the side bases and place them on a different map such as impact or erosion. The problem that I see with this map is that their is only one flanking route from A to C. And you must be like hey Exile has this same linear set up. Well Exile had two flanking routes that allowed for flexibility around the map. Not only that but if you do put it on a forge map, it will also show creativity with the different pallet. I'm not saying this is bad just that it won't really work. If you do plan to do this just don't copy and paste.

I think I found out how by playing a game yesterday. I was in Big Team Battle and I was checkin' their service records when I came across a bit of information that I don't know how we are missing. It will say their party size. So it said 7 and I was like," Did... I just find out how to figure out if their are parties, after like 3 months the game came out". When the game is over, what do you know, 7 of them had mics. Coincidence, I think not.

Sounds like you are just complaining... I mean come on. Halo Reach's forge is what started it for what is to come for Halo 4 but you got to move on now. Halo Reach is done and almost everything was done. But I won't argue with you, you have your own opinion.

I wouldn't exactly say that 343 doesn't exactly care about us only because your connection seems to be falling off a cliff. Halo 4 as a game, is straight up a laggy game, I never lagged so much as when playing Reach or Halo 3. I'm sure their are things that we did not like about the game, but you have to understand that when you create a game, you have the responsibility to appeal to alot of people. And... I'm sure their are quite a few people don't like 343 because of matchmaking... but, let me tell you something. Certain Affinity developed matchmaking... not 343.

Excuse me, but if you want to talk about a gametype filled with 10 year olds, that would probably be the living dead playlist. And when you say you are more of a competitive player, you probably don't understand the full potential of invasion and what it demonstrates. This is more team work then BTB or team slayer or even team doubles. You had to cooperate and talk out strategies of what to do and plan out what paths to take, how to control areas to push up. In slayer or MLG, It is very repetitive. When you play invasion, each game is different and shows how each person is important to the team. You would know the difference between a cooperative team in invasion with strong defense holding people back, taking positions, and when they attack they organize and talk it over on how they approach the objective. I'm sorry but It was not boring and not easy. I understand you have your opinion but saying it was boring... no.

This is really nice dude. It should really be a feature.

Halo 4 Lockout (1:1) | Final Version Released 3/8 !!
T O lR T A replied to Yama's topic in Competitive Maps
I love how you did this in impact, you really catch the remake. And with the overall layout, man it's really sweet. Really good job. -
I am sick of people leaving a game and having their team to suffer. I understand that their is that in join game thing, but who loves to join a game where they begin to lose. When people leave, they should be penalized other than this temporarily banned penalization. What is that going to prove. In Halo 3 people did not leave because it would affect their rank. In Halo 4, It is WAY to EASY to rank up. Oh, and guess what, you don't get penalized for leaving. People leave a game because they are doing bad or they feel like playing a different playlist. Or if you get that player or that team that care about their k/d, they will leave the game before you pick the map and ONLY search for noobs. In my opinion that is straight up garbage. If you would like to have a penalty for leaving games, then click a yes on the poll. It won't do much, but hey, who doesn't like to vote.
-
You might be correct about that since people enjoyed to play BTB or Objective but Invasion was a story. It was new, and something enjoyable. I just want to see what the community has to say about it. If you did not enjoy it, that is okay since people have different opinions, and I respect that.

Laggiest. Um... I don't think so. I enjoyed invasion so much, It is the only playlist I really played in Reach and the only playlist I usually forged in Reach. Invasion was a sweet, unique gametype. You could think of it as a story like Spartan Ops. Like in Boneyard they gotta deactiveate the shields located inside the ship. Once deactivated you gotta go to the secondary defences holding the core. And as you advance your loadoats get stronger. Not only that but you also advance in vehicles. Only thing is that you had to work as a team, so if one of your teammates quit, instantly your team has a major disadvantage. Invasion was awesome and I wish it was back, Dominion will have to be a placeholder buy eventually I'll go back to Reach to play invasion.

I rage at grenades all the time. I get someone to a one shot... Guess what he throws a grenade, hides in cover and someone else ends up finishing me off. It is so garbage. Frags are stronger than they have ever been, and I've been requesting a gametype where it is 4 on 4 slayer, but NO grenades. Imagine that, someone will hate that, why you may ask... because they rely on grenades and they don't know how to shoot a precision weapon.

I don't understand why 343 wanted to make the game faster paced, I enjoyed the game when it lasted longer. Maybe their was a reason behind it such as people maybe suggesting faster gameplay.

All of you guys complaining about how Forge World was better and the maps for Halo 4 are too small need to realize the true potential of the maps. You guys are so blinded by the past and can't even realize the circumstances that were wrong in the previous game. It is like when Reach came out and people were going, "Man I hate this, this is nothing like Halo 3, this sucks!" When you guys say you want Forge World back because the maps were too small, are you actually going to use ALL of Forge World! No map successfully did that without making it look like a 6 year-old child made it. The potential of the maps of Halo 4 express so much to your understanding. Make a theme of a map and choose to whether if you want to make an urban (Ravine), Space or night (Impact), or abandoned (Erosion) themed map. You have to extend your imagination of what you could do. Quit complaining and wishing for the past, We moved on and we are advancing. Forge is not as noob friendly as matchmaking in Halo 4 but you can do it.

I honestly did not enjoy any of the maps in the beginning of the life span of Halo 4. It took a long time before I could acknowledge what Halo 4 forge could do and the great things that came with it. Erosion, I felt was the smallest map ever, but then after a month, I came to realize that it is actually probably the largest terrain based map to build on. I feel it is great for big team maps If you use terrain wisely. The pallet on it creates this nice abandoned feel to the map and creates alot. The dynamic lighting is kind of garbage in their though. In Impact, it is great for mainly minigame based maps, and if you use terrain accordingly you could make a larger sized map. The scenery of the map is nice, but I don't like how everything is sooooo white in Impact. Lastly, in Ravine, I feel it is really difficult to build maps that include the terrain or even where the Citadel is located. Ravine is nice and has the best natural feeling and great dynamic lighting, it's just a forge map that is more difficult to forge on. Each map has a reason, and how you forge is what you imagine. I feel forge though is not easy to the new forgers at all, nor the less experienced. It is like the complete opposite of matchmaking where that is too noob friendly.

Invasion was my top playlist back in the Halo Reach days, and that was mostly what I played. Is that something you guys would like to return. But this time, since their are no elites, how about prometheans versus the humans. It is a really cool concept with a story. It added a lot in Reach and I think it would add alot in Halo 4.

I can't tell you how garbage sometimes the drops are! One time I was playing against a good team such as Lethal Vendetta, Clutch, or BlackScreen (Professional Dominion Players) and I would get so pumped to play against them for a real challenge. I was ready capturing our home base while rest of my team goes to B. We capture B and C and we got a great head start. They eventually got B back and we relied on our ordnance drops right their and then! You wanna know what happened! The game was like, "hey you know what, I understand this team has only one base compared to the enemy team who was two bases, but I'm gonna give this team br, dmr and frags..... THREE TIMES IN A ROW! Unacceptable! I did laugh about it though lol

Yeah, gotta wait until April till new ranking comes up! I hope I don't switch to a new game in that span!
-
You know what they need, They need to have the system where if you left a game you lost experience points causing your rank to slowly decline if you kept leaving. Their are people who quit to protect their k/d and their are people who leave because they are about to face a good team. If people leave without getting punished, then the true game of Halo is slowly dying.

Maybe you should send this 'Mexican Tortoise' character a message saying, "Yo, invite me!" lol

I can't wait for that new extraction playlist... until April.

I find it sad that people would play Spartan Ops to rank up rather that to have fun on matchmaking with a couple of friends. Does that say something about this game. o.0
-
I thought about this for a while, and I think a base should at least have 3 entrances. Anything less would probably be too campy. I'm not sure.
-
I understand that most people struggle with randoms, and the best way to combat that is to actually go into a game and kind of have fun with it. See if you meet people on your team who communicate and see how the game goes. When the game is over, look at the carnage report and check for the top two people who did the best that game. Invite them and see if you can make your own team by repeating this process. Even choose people on the enemy team who gave you guys a hard time. This is what I rarely do considering I already have enough friends to invite. But try to make friends while playing the game is the best tip I can give you guys to overcome this situation.

My best is Ragnarok, I always do well on it. And my worst is Adrift. I can't stand the tight corners where people can easily boltshot you

My best was 62-2 on Ragnarock in CTF. This was also on the second day Halo 4 came out. I did get an unfrigenbelievable and I got this by using banshee. Their was a banshee in CTF Ragnarock before update.
