  1. Ah. Something that would severely enhance replayability, at least for me, would be the addition of Lore into UNSC Warfare. There's a small amount of it, in the Mission briefings, but personally I would care so much less about it being a simulator if it felt like I was truly organizing an army and progressing it through an entire story. THAT, I'm sure would be a bit easier to program, since in it's simplest form it's just text. (Hmmm.....) A small thought that I had following that chain of thought was being able to infleunce more than just the game. Take a sports simulator, for example - you get to buy your players (Units) and use them to battle other teams. Ignoring changing things like positions and tactics, because I'm fairly certain that won't be happening due to the sim running fairly randomly, there are also things like buying/selling players, organizing your rights, making sure your team chemistry, team face, money is good, etc. I think that would really give me bigger incentive to replay the game - I guess you could say it would simply feel more immersive if I managed not just 'buying units', but also bigger things like the politics.
  2. Well, I'm not exactly sure how to say it, but it's kind of just that I don't really enjoy watching a battle take place. I want to be much more integral than just a guy who presses 'start battle' and watch a bunch of avatars move around; I kinda wanna act like an overlord, similar in vein to Halo Wars. It's a battle between two armies, and while I'd much prefer that I be able to use my strategies and tactics, it ends up being 'who has the most healed, most OP number of units'. Fast forwards, slow down, etc. doesn't really change much; because I can't influence the simulation, I don't see the point of watching it; it was a cool gimmick for the first few rounds but after that, I pretty much started the battle, the continued to surf the internet on other pages before going back. The only idea I could suggest would be to increase map size, hide enemy units from 'view' until within range depending on your units (Hey, this means that you could add this new stat-ish thing that determines range of view - so you could have scout based units have more range in seeing stuff compared to some other stuff), and be able to move around individual units, group them together to move them around, and generally control your units in your fight against your opponent. Naturally, this would be hard to program, not to mention it would need both players online at once, but nonetheless it's really the only idea I could contribute so far. (The only other thing would be some kind of Rock-Papers-Scissors system that I see inspired from a arcade game I played where you collected 'units' as a TCG - that worked like a charm, because I wasted years of my life playing it.)
  3. An AR does have it's penchant for being annoying though. Each time I'm in a gunfight where there's an AR user against me, chances are I'm dying from a precision weapon, but that AR is going to cause my aim to get thrown a bit off. Nothing like the round of explosions and 14 rapid flashes and vibrations going off on headphones, monitor and controller all at once to throw your off.
  4. Chuck Norris likes Justin Bieber.
  5. Hmm. I was having quite a bit of fun when I first started playing, but nowadays, it's something a bit more akin to a few clicks I do when I'm off procrastinating in the middle of class or something.... Battles for me are waaaay too slow now.... But oh well.
  6. The game has BEGUN. - All those who got a PM, you have - and know - your roles. - All those who did not get a PM, you are civilians. All players with roles, please PM me your targets to slay/protect/investigate.
  7. This would either turn into trollfest galore or it would pretty much bring players into competitive gameplay. Both are fine by me. I've seen what mic-only servers can do on other games; Battlefield 3 as an example - teamwork and similar aspects simply get a raise, and for me, that in turn raises 'fun' levels.
  8. There are good tips hidden around the forums, but if you're desperate to know immediately you could create a thread for it. We can't exactly magically enhance your ability to aim; that's something you have to do on your own. But otherwise, we could give you many tips that would help.
  9. Except you are playing an active role in your team.....your sniping is helping your team set up in, well, positioning and map control, and your ability to kill is forcing the enemy back and preventing them from doing anything for advancing. To say that k/d means nothing is fairly stupid of a point - just visualize it. One team is great at positioning, callouts, teamwork, etc. while the other team is simply better at killing everyone, alone or in a team. Here's what's gonna happen: The good positioning team is gonna 'get in position', then the team that is better at killing is going to simply kill them. No matter how good your positioning, movement, and teamwork is, if all you're gonna do is give the enemy team a free kill, map control, and lose your team a player for X amount of seconds, you are not being a good team player. Words are not going to stop your enemies from getting past you to their objective; the ability to fight back is. Sure, you could be a team player, but a team player who can only die in every combat encounter is a bad team player.
  10. Creating this would be a good idea, but the problem it faces would be that it can't exactly find itself an audience, the audience is either already there, or needs to go towards it. Nonetheless, the slapstick comedy, as well as the comedic imagery, is fairly good. If this were to replace run alongside the weekly recap or something, I would gladly help out.
  11. Sorry, VItamin should get this one. Voting for him.
  12. ..... If you're gonna use sarcasm in the internet, it has to be VERY obvious. That fooled more than just me - you effectively lied about someone winning. Second, your clue doesn't really work considering the rule of the riddle challenge is to be, y'know.....in the Halo lore. If you're saying that it's something not in-world that refers to something in world, well, that's ANYTHING.
  13. Halo: Reach. No arguments needed lol just ask most of the well known forgers around
  14. so this just proved you ignored my post Trevelyan* is the micro-dyson sphere that was within Onyx, which itself was really a massive scaffolding of Sentinels that were covered by terraformation. There was cool stuff inside it, so UNSC, in honor of kurt, named it Trevelyan research station or something like that. inb4bannedfromriddlechallenge inb4confuse inb4ireallydontthinktheriddlemadesense
  15. 4 cannot be chosen. I've added you on the remaining space of 10. 13 players now - who wants to begin immediately?

I have video evidence of, during the time when you weren't there, old team pretty much losing des it's a player ratio of just about 2:1 over old team - within obj game types

      Church carried

Quite a few new teamers left as well, but from a skill perspective it should be clear.

  18. No; The usage of sticks hitting pucks has since been discontinued in favor of utter decimation of players through death, fire, being killed to death, and other tranquilizing ways of stopping players in their path; Grifball has since been recognized as the intergalactic sport, though Spartan-IV's are known to prefer Ricochet due to it's additional usage as combat training. Nothing like blasting your enemies while handling balls.
  19. Even if half of the things in the novel were not in the movie - and it isn't like that - there would still be a lot more material in there.
  20. I wholesomely doubt it, even if I am judging using the novelizations as reference material.
  21. There are quite a few more dedicated forger websites, such as Forgecafe, or Halocustoms, so you should go and check those out. As ist stands, many of the well-known forgers on this website are tagged as affiliates. But hey, this is still a cool place. Welcome to the site.
  22. We have 12 players. If enough people decide, we can begin. Otherwise, people, advertise some more.
