There's a free game I'd say that would be fun with wacky hollywood style physics, but I'm fairly certain none of you ahve heard of it so meh. Otherwise, first thing I'd suggest is TF2. It's cross platform on both mac and PC, free, and easy to access. Even if it's just for testing to see how well a PC playdate would work, I would have to say TF2 would be best.

Halo 3 and Halo: Reach's water looked beautiful. Halo 4's looked like it was not meant for people to see other than from a far distance. Spartans can't swim but they certainly can walk under water. I mean, they're in an air-tight suit....

Mars One? Hahaha what is this There's gonna be DRM there, the possibility of no-disc drive, and it's gonna cost a lot despite the fact that you're making a heavy sacrifice xD This would be cool, but a lot of money would be needed. Continuous supplies of food need to exist, oxygen needs to be transported, and then filters that would change the atmosphere to be habitable, energy generators, so much more. Would be cool, but I've never envisioned it happening within such a close time frame. No, I wouldn't choose to go, I am excited for what space travel brings (And, lets face it, we're probably not gonna be suddenly in a war against supremely inhuman looking lifeforms who have super advanced weaponry), the most beneficial thing about this project would be a push in technology, which would thus give us 1. Information on terraforming mars 2. Change economy to pretty much encourage science, 3. cool stuff. The worst thing to happen would be the team there fails to set up their equipment properly and dies, we learn nothing, wasted money, and a bunch of angry arrogant ignorant people who are nowhere as brave as those who went to mars get mad and sad that money isn't being spent on making them happy. If we lived on mars, we'd learn that we could live on mars. For the human race, this would be revolutionary, especially since the tech that helps people survive on mars could be used to help clean up all the stuff that needs cleaning on earth. Also, we'll probably find bacteria, virus' and single celled lifeforms on mars, (and maybe cockroaches) but I doubt that there'd be life on the level of the biology on earth.

It's letting go. ----- Welcome to 343iCF Mafia! After positive feedback in terms of running some more forum games, I've decided to give this a go again, and a Mafia game will be my dry run. As the effective beginning of Mafia games that I hope will run long, smooth, and won't be blocked by whatever. If you don't understand, I'll try to explain it easily. If you know how to play CLUE, the Halo custom game, Trouble in Terrorist Town the steam game, Mafia/Werewolves and Villagers, the camp/table/irl game you should be fine for the most part. This marks a new beginning, and what better place to start than 343i City? (Maestro, pls give me rights to this? :3 ----- HOW TO PLAY/RULES Just like CLUE, Mafia is a game of Civilians against Killers. The Mafia are the killers; the Civilians are innocents. Now, the below will be a list of the factions, their roles, and then a run through of a single 'round', from the start, all the way to the beginning of the next. Each round should last 4 days, of 48 hours 'Day' and 48 hours 'Night'. FACTIONS Pro-town - This team wins by lynching all Anti-town roles. Pro town roles include: 9x Civilians - Each daytime, you may vote to lynch one person listed in the suspect list. Your role does not include anything else you can do, but you may PM other players in an attempt to figure out who is who, pass information, etc. 1x Regen Field - Each night, one person with the Regen Field armor ability may choose another person they can prevent from being killed. During they day, they may vote to lynch one person listed in the suspect list. 1x Promethean Vision - Each night, one person with the Promethean Vision armor ability may look at another person's identity and figure out their role. Anti-town - This team wins by killing all Pro-town roles. 4x Mafians - Each night, the Mafia votes on player that they will kill. They also pick one of their own to do the deed - that person, alongside 3 other random players (Max 2. Anti-town) will be placed into the suspect list. Note: If you are a civilian, you will not receive a PM when the game starts. If you are the Regen Field user or the Promethean vision user, I will send you a PM that you must respond to ASAP. If you are a Mafian, I will send you all a group PM, and I will need a response ASAP. ROUNDS 1. The game begins during nighttime. The Regen field user will PM the host (me) stating the player they wish to protect. The Promethean Vision user will PM the host stating the player they wish to investigate. The Mafians will PM me stating the person they will kill, and the person they will send to commit the deed. 2. The nighttime scene will be posted by me after approximately 48 hours, showing the results of all the roles and their actions. I will give a suspect list if a person has been killed, and then daytime begins. 3. All players may now vote for the people listed in the suspect list. After 48 hours I will tally up the votes and thusly write the hanging scene where the player(s) with the most votes are killed. 4. Daytime is now over, and nighttime begins again. The next nighttime begins the next round. OTHER RULES - You may screenshot anything you wish and post it within the thread. Images can also be edited to help you in your plans. - You may PM other players in your attempts figure out other roles, and further your own plans. If you day, please include me so I may see your planning, but there is no need to. - You may accuse other players of roles within the thread and out of it, or lie. - You may reveal, or fake your role. - You may not use information within this game to help you in things out of the game, e.g. "I'll tell you my role if you give me a 48 hour gold trial." A few months less than a year ago, I attempted to host a set of Forum Games on this site. TBRPG's notwithstanding, I attempted to bring a set of games that I knew worked to this forum, though whether it would work on THIS forum was generally untested. Of the different ideas for games I had, the two games that I had managed to put down into text was a Mafia game and a Fighting game. The Fighting game made it a bit less than 8 pages before interest seemed to die out. I can easily guess why it was - everybody else seemed to be posting massive posts, encouraging each player to do the same. Some thought it should be played one way, others thought it should be played another way. Problems arose, and alongside the time consumption of the long posts, people decided they were done. Weeks and months after inactivity people hopped on to see if they could revive it. I said yes, then they never posted again (lol). So that was that. The Mafia game (And let me tell you that Mafia is very easy to understand) didn't get off the ground. Nowadays most of the new forum games that pop up are different - in the sense that they can very easily be simplified and summed up into the topic of 'Question and Answer'. Which, while it is fun in a sense, doesn't really offer a unique experience. I'm posting this because I was wondering if there were any other members who wishes to see some more unique forum games in the forums, and if so, both 1. What games would you like to play? 2. Would you be interested in hosting/co-hosting them? (If you're not the person who likes to play Forum games and you are generally biased against playing them, all I can do is laugh at the fun you exclude yourselves from. But then again, this place hasn't really had a track record for the best forum games around so I wouldn't really blame you.)
