  1. If you have play disc installed, you should be able to play using your scratched disc. The console will check what game it is, then once it sees you have play disc installed and in disc drive it will automatically switch to HDD. Broken disc won't matter by then, so long as it can check the disc is Halo 4 EDIT: IF you're interested, the reason why you cannot play without disc isn't because of a technical problem, it was programmed to not allow you to play with the disc. This is because - think about it. If it was possible to play without it, then a group of 10, 20, 30, 100, 100,000, 100,000,000 people could just buy one game, then share the disc with someone else after they installed it, and pass it on and on and on. They install it, then play it, for free.
  2. No. Not because it's technologically impossible but because it is absolutely useless. I'd rather have random generated forge worlds with different themes than an entire planet, because then just to get to an area I would have to wait for soooo long.
  3. Hmmm.... Fun concept. I won't be participating though. I also see quite a few ways to have improved your writing, but I won't analyse it unless asked specifically.
  4. This guy is correct about what he says, except it probably doesn't apply to the kids who haven't even gotten to the age where they stopped seeing the other gender as beneath them, and begin to harbor feelings for their other gender.
  5. Winner. Get get your scoreboard and add yourself on some pages back. The other acceptable name would have been the Organon.
  6. Buy it on 360. I don't want to see the AC franchise turned into a cash cow.
  7. Then you would enjoy. What if I was actually a girl?
  8. Nearly 3K words. Surprising. NOW! Before we continue, I would like to give a shoutout and promo to Transformers: Extinction, written by Axilus Prime. Axilus, whom I will always know as a golden pyromaniac, was one of the people who helped me get to my level of writing. Sure, there's a long way to go for me, but I'm happy I got here in the first place and without him I'm sure it would have been a lot harder. I won't bother explaining the history of our writing careers other than I learned quite a bit of what NOT to do, but hey. It's all just a way to improve. Check his work out. Anyways, story time. Chapter 3 - Town of pricks Drizzy_Dan looked around. They were on an island, surrounded by an ocean of blood-red. If the sky was less dull and the ocean looked a bit more normal, then perhaps this might've actually been an island paradise (In Drizzy's mind, getting banned for a vacation might actually be a cool trip for once). As it were, though, this was more mind bending than cool. However, it wasn't impossible for the water to suddenly change colors. This was banned, after all. Stuff was wacky here. Spyro and Drizzy began to walk farther inland, away from the beaches. The trees resembled the stuff you'd find in tropical areas - palm trees, big leaves, and the occasional balls of whoever knew what they were that hung at the top of the long cylindrical shafts of the trees. Spyro wanted to chew on them, see if they were tasty. After all, it had been a long flight through the banned world, and he was tired. Any form of drinkable water, especially if it looked drinkable, was probably good for them. "AAAAAHHHH-" *Kadumph!* Drizzy looked at Spyro. Spyro looked at Drizzy. Did they just see a rabbit create a crack in the sky, leap through, and fall onto the island farther into the lush jungle? Quickly, the two began to stride through the forest, intent on finding whatever had landed. They could guess who it was - a member who'd been banned, though whether it be because he was banned by the sniper, or for another reason, they were unsure of it. After a few minutes of travelling through the forest that was relatively undisturbed, they finally found what they were looking for. A crater, about a meter in radius (3 feet for you imperials), had been formed in the dirt. Closer to the center, the dirt had fused from all the energy into a glass-like substance that reflected light in the inverse of a rainbow. And directly at the center was a rabbit. "Ow," the rabbit muttered, "Where am I? Last time I didn't feel like I have a hungover, I was......" He looked up at Drizzy_Dan and Spyro, and realization dawned on him. "Oh. Wow. What a prick." Drizzy reached down the help up the rabbit. "Who's a prick?" "Edward Kenway. If it weren't for his meddling, the Sniper wouldn't have noscoped me in the face." Spyro looked at Drizzy. Drizzy looked at Spyro. "Oh. Wow. What a prick." They said in unison. "Bet the guys up there wish he was banned instead." * * * "Edward! Edward! Are you okay?" Was the general gist of the words that came out as a string from The Kilburnator, HaloGeek and Church's mouthes all at once. Running across the rooftop to where the pirate lay, unconscious, Church quickly began to type into an ethereal keyboard, sending a message to the other moderators before closing it. "Thank goodness you're not banned." With a sputter, the pirate's eyes flashed open. Next, he grunted, slowly bring his hands up to his face. A visible bruise had formed from the punt that had knocked Edward out in the first place. Seeing that his friend was okay (sorta), HaloGeek didn't bother with formalities. Immediately, he turned and began to search the place, looking for any traces that the Sniper had left. As he did, The Kilburnator and Church quickly tried to help Edward up into a sitting position. Church was already working with his moderator powers to see if he could ease the pain. As it was, Edward's account was in semi-suspension, major functions removed. Thought Church wasn't really sure if that did anything. "Edward, can you hear us?" There was a small nod. "Do you remember anything?" No response, apart from a groan. "I think he's kind of in a form of amnesia. The memories are there, but locked away because of the pain, except it's physical, not mental. It might be best if we let him be for a moment," The Kilburnator said as he stood back up, before looking over to where HaloGeek stood, a bit awkwardly. He wasn't usually a medic type of guy, after all. This was a bit out of his comfort zone. "Right." Church nodded, then his form flickered, before turning old school and green. "But he'd better remember soon, because memory is the key." "Yeah....." The Kilburnator nodded. "Memory is the key." "Guys, I've searched the place, and I don't see anything out of the ordinary," HaloGeek said as he walked back towards the group, staff of ice now in his hands, ready for danger. "No bullets, footprints. Nothing I can see myself. It's almost as this Sniper doesn't use a gun to-" The moment HaloGeek mentioned the weapon the Sniper used, Edward grunted again, clutching his head in agony. However, it was obvious that he remembered something that the blunt trauma had taken from him. "The Sniper.....he fought me with a sword. He was.......very......skilled. I don't know...." He slumped his head again. The fighting style was somewhat recognizable, but he just didn't know what it was. * * * 343i.org was a city. Buildings rose above, each a thread that grew uniquely, almost as though the city was alive. Each subforum was a district, and everything within it had a specific style to it. But in the center of the city, rising above all other buildings, stood a coliseum. (I know one of the readers know where I pulled inspiration on. Hehe. You'll see more of these. You know who you are.) Massive, slate grey and lined with matte silver, the coliseum itself was walled up, almost like a power plant's chimney, except hundreds of times multiplied in size. Almost as though a mountain in the wilderness, except modern rather than primitive, a majestic but artificial work of art. It was within here that the halls of the moderators existed. And many other things, things that we may speak of but won't. Within a room that more resembled an atrium, two silhouetted beings met. One stood, the other knelt. The one who stood held a mudkip in his palm, silently caressing the blue frog-like monster within the dark. The other wore a skin-tight suit that seemed to be made of leather and overlayed with other materials that was overall black in color. Within the dim lighting the room was in, it was hard to make out any features of this person, but it was clear from the curvature of the outline that she was female. Clinging tightly to the body frame, some may have found her......provocative. Evidently, Azaxx paid no heed. "How goes the search?" "As expected. We're against an enemy who is utilizing a hack to ban members, bricking their IPs. Said hacker also has the ability to erase any evidence of his from existence when he disappears. But....we found something interesting." Azaxx nodded. "Go on." "The Member of the month, or mom, is known to be a title. What many don't know is that said member is, during their crowning, infused with the spiritual energy of 343iCF itself. As they give to the forum, the forum gives back. This somehow created a shield for the latest mom, Edward Kenway, when he was sniped, and the shield itself resonated a different kind of energy than those of the artificial moderator's shields." Silently, Azaxx pondered for half a second, before nodding for her to continue. "If we can tap into the energy well of the forum, it's possible we can find a defense. But it seems all the energy was used up for Edward Kenway this month. We'll have to wait for the next mom for a chance to test. It's sketchy, but it's a chance." "I see. Do the other mods know?" "As you had said, Master, I didn't trust any of them. But so far, I believe apart from Church, who was in contact with Edward Kenway moments before and after the sniper's attack, knows, or at the very least has guessed." "You know, it makes him sounds suspicious." "Church doesn't snipe. You know his accuracy with that weapon." "He could be lying." "I'll keep an eye on him, master." With that, the female turned to leave, swift and fast. "Wait," Azaxx said, prompting the female to stop mid-stride, though she didn't bother to look back. "Stay safe." The female smirked, before lifting up a small, golden triangle that she held in between her thumb and forefinger with an 'OK' sign. "Oh, come on," Zelda said with a small laugh, "I've got the triforce of knowledge. I'm clever enough to stay safe without you reminding. Seeya soon, master." * * * Elite Sniper smiled. The bug's carcass, it's crimson piercing gaze now stale and unfocused, lay over his shoulder as he happily Flappy Bird-ed his time away. He wasn't due to be back till later on, but his hunt was over. Today he could be lazy. He could get a new high score! He could finally beat his amazing and magnificent score of.....5. He shrugged. The only person who had over a 10, within the forums, was somebody nobody could match. "Grrr......" An inhuman noise came from a bush, growling with a recognizable insatiable hunger. "Grrr......" An inhumane noise came from Elite Snipers mouth as he died once again, this time at a score of 3. 2 more, and he would have...... The bug, this one taking the form of a demon wolf, snarled as it leapt out of the bushes and towards Elite Snipers necks, jaws wide and yearning, spittle flying through the air. Through his helmet, Elite Snipers' eyes widened as he realized that his score was about to be ruined - and he was about to die. How can I set a high score if I'm dead?, Elite Sniper's final thoughts flashed within his mind, Do I take my smartphone with me? *Fk!* There was a small, nearly inaudible noise as an arrow came out of nowhere and sheathed itself into - and then through - the demon wolf's head. Turning limp, the carcass promptly flew forwards and hit Elite Sniper, who let out an "oomph!" as he fell backwards onto the grass. From the tree above him, a figure fell downwards with an unmatchable grace and style, in one hand holding a bow and the other hand reaching backwards to pick and notch an arrow. Winded by the fall, Elite Sniper couldn't even react in time to the other person, who landed with each leg on one side of Elite Sniper, who lay on the dirt with a wolf on his body. "Sniper! How dare you ban Drizzy_Dan!" The archer said. I would make a joke about how an archer was just a medieval sniper here, but alas, it would be dumb and nobody would get it. "Wow, wow, wow, wait! I'm not the guy you're looking for!" Elite Sniper said frantically as he tried to roll the wolf off his body. The moment he moved, however, the other person leaned lower, and his nose began to feel a bit ticklish from the point of the arrow being so close to his helmet. "Oh yeah?" The other guy said, flicking his hair out of his face. With surprise, Elite Sniper saw that this other persons ear was pointed - the way an Elf was. "What's your name?" "Elite Sniper! What's yo-" "Aha! So you ARE the Sniper! Filthy liar! Taste arrow!" The elf said as he pulled back on the bowstring. "Nononononono! I'm not THE Sniper, who's currently performing atrocities within the forums like no other..." "Then who are you?" "My name is Elite Sniper!" The elf frowned. This guy made no sense. "So you're the sniper, but you're not the sniper?" "YES!" Elite Sniper nodded, then frowned. "Wait, no. What? My name is Sniper, but I'm not THE Sniper." "Well, then, who's the sniper?" "I don't know! Now tell me, who are you?" The Elf took a few steps back, although he kept his arrow aimed at Elite Sniper's visor. "Mayh3m." Elite Sniper nodded. He'd heard of that name, associated with a legend, though he wasn't so sure about myths. Sighing inwardly, he finally got to pushing the wolf off of himself, only to have its wide open jaw clamp open his helmet. Tongue flopped out, and began to wet-wipe Elite Sniper's ODST helmet. "Awww, son of a-" * * * The coliseum...... RedStarRocket91 and Twam stood side by side, head community moderator and admin respectively. Around them, electric blue lights ringing them went up as their lift went down. The Coliseum was the tallest point within the city. Very rarely did people ever get the chance to grace themselves with a visit to the non-arena blocks. Only the staff, who tended to have there own 'rooms' within the building, ever frequented the massive maze that existed within the building. Even then, most of the staff who weren't moderators stayed away from the building. It was big, and it was a symbol, but once inside it seemed to reflect a sense of loneliness that the average forum goer wouldn't ever enjoy. Perhaps only the lurkers would have enjoyed it, and even then none of them came due to its significance and staff-usage - which was probably also the reason why Azaxx lived here. What only three members (All of whom are or were staff) knew was that the Coliseum also went to the deepest point within the forum. The existence of it was a hushed matter that only the other moderators discussed, alongside other legends. (Pun intended.) Some thought something precious was hidden there. Others thought it was a portal to the banned. Only the three members knew the true reason why such a shaft, hole, prison was made. Two of them now stood at the same floor. The lift doors slid open, and the two of them walked at the same pace across a corridor.. Down here, there was only an ambient blue light, one that wasn't bright enough to stop the corners of the corridor from being pitch and utter black. If either Twam or RSR were afraid, they didn't show it. As they walked, they were flanked by solid, unmoving statues, each a robotic mech that was remotely controlled by 343iBot. They didn't move at all in reaction to the two most powerful moderators and administrators on site........but they were programmed to move should anything happen to or from the final object within the room, at the end of the corridor. A grotesque suit of impossible proportions lay against the wall, attached to the solid backing behind it with chain links and fusion. Suit and wall intertwined like two lovers on valentines day - wrapping, touching, interlocking. There would be no separation, and it was impossible to tell where one began and the other ended. But there was no love here. RSR and Twam stopped when they reached the end of the corridor, and stared at the suit. Pitch black, joints that couldn't move, and held against the wall, the only thing that made this cocoon of a prison look like something a person would wear was the two eye slits. A solid red light replaced the eyes that were supposed to be there, yet another filter for this entity within, and also the only danger warning that existed. If eyes were the windows to the soul, then as far as Twam and RSR was concerned, within this suit there was no soul. Twam was the first to talk. "Are you the one responsible?" Because the entity within was inside a suit that immobilized him, and the only thing that could be used to discern his emotion, the eye slits, were blocked, there was no emotion detected from movement. However, voice still retained it's pitch and toned when transmitted through the suit, and it was obvious that whoever the admin was speaking to, he was curious, though whether it was true curiosity or just a mock, no one present could tell. "Responsible.....for?" "The Sniper." "Oh, so is someone else creating a havoc?......Banning people, I surmise?" RSR bit his lip. This person was good. Clever. Dangerous. As he'd expected. As he'd known. This time, it was the head moderator's turn to speak up. "If you know anything about it, say it now." "Why? I don't get anything from it. You won't free me if I tell you anything. I'm a prisoner." Twam nodded, then said, "You're right. We won't. You know what you did. We know what you did. Even if you are just a member, we won't be letting you roam free." "How's Drizzy_Dan? If you read his wrapup's out loud to me, maybe I'll tell you something that you were too stupid to find a hint from." "He's banned," RSR said, to his immediate regret when Twam turned to look at him. "Oh, I see. Well, then, I have nothing to do. I'm just a member, as you say. You've taken away everything. I don't even know where you put that." "Out of your reach," RSR said with a smirk - before promptly being elbowed by Twam. "Hohoh......Don't be so certain about that. I have a feeling that whoever this sniper is, whatever he's doing, it's going to rattle our relationship as well. But in any case, I think we're done here. You may leave." Twam's eyebrows furrowed in anger. "Do not think of yourself as above us. You are powerless. Always were, without that." There was a chuckle from within the suit, one that resonated with pure hatred and distaste. "Oh, but I was, if not for his sacrifice. If not for my mistake, which won't happen again." But by then, RSR and Twam had turned to leave. Brooding silence returned to the corridor.
  9. You just went against exactly what I told you to do. Wrong. Nope.
  10. No. ............. Maybe. Specify. Don't go smaller, or look for the correct name of the AI. Go bigger. Anyone want a hint?
  11. Next chapter will come tonight.

  12. Already said it, but welcome to the site! I've you've got any questions, feel free to ask either through chatbox or private message. As for the shoutbox, yeah, you need 5 posts, but posts within the Introduction topic and Offbeats sections do not count towards post count. -JL
