  1. Again, if one player is gone and your post was directed to him, then it is your job to find a way to get back in to the action. The player who is gone will then have to respond to that sniper bullet and then he, too, must find a way to get back into the action. Outcome of the shot - the dude goes away. Do you sit there for the next 10 minutes staring for him to come back? When this skull is implemented, in simple terms, the fighting turns into a roleplay based fight, with all of role playing's rules that prevent unfair characters and unfair posts. If in a roleplay you can fight on if one guy has to go into limbo, you can most definitely continue fighting, especially since even if 1 guy is gone about 8 others will still be here. But in the end, its down to two things you can do, and nothing else. 1. Stay there, have your character in limbo, and only break him out when the other guy responds or someone else interacts with you. 2. Move on and continue. I don't mind if you complain; Its just feedback.
  2. Where is the wrapup :o

Working on it right now. Coming later today, I have work in 13 minutes.

  3. You dont. Its a rule that people for some reason disobeyed last round, possibly because the name said 'Team Slayer'. http://www.343industries.org/forum/topic/29675-halofight-forum-game/page-4?do=findComment&comment=271925 Although I do think part of the blame rests on me. Despite the fact that 'No Killing' was a definite part of the rules, maybe it was my choice of calling it 'Team Slayer' that started kills. Because people didn't seem fazed by suddenly having their characters die, I simply left it so I could ask, at the end of the round, if the violation of such a rule was fun.
  4. Then it is up to you as a player to find a creative way to get back into the combat. Lets say, in a real Halo slayer game, you have a sniper and you shoot someone. Immediately after, you go and look for someone else to shoot, right? Its the same thing; its just that you don't know if your first shot hit, and you can't do anything about it. In terms of inactivity, there is definitely an aim to try and keep players posting as much as possible, and, while of course there is never a way to guarantee a player's activity, if more interaction was forced out of them (which this skull should do) then perhaps they'll stay about and around some more. As for policy, there is one - if you don't plan on being able to continually post then you can excuse yourself from the current game list to rejoin at whatever time you like. Hmmm...... How about we postpone this round for 24 hours, and once it's 6AM eastern time the round will continue. Any objections? Yet, there are many ways 'logic' can be applied to a post and what another player does to your character will almost definitely be logical. Take Cunning's killing of Fear; the only illogical part was when he sliced off both arms with plasma swords and then still had them bleed, it was certainly logical, wasn't it? But it wasn't fair to Victory Element in that VE didn't have any control over what his character could do, and even more so unfair with the reasons described by VE as the death/respawn 'system'. Would that be an issue? In my opinion, I have the feeling that skulls as game modifiers can help cater to multiple people, such as this skull for those who want interaction and less puppeting of their own and other characters, and another skull that allows killing like what BaconShelf and Zachary enjoyed. But in the end, this is a fight game, and having a continual cycle of 'player spawn, player kills' posts doesn't seem to involve much fighting, which usually involves more than one person.
  5. Well, bottom line, I had never planned for this game to ever allow 'kills'. If you wanted cinematic posts, you were always allowed to do that, to fling people around, break their skulls, rip their bones and smash their guts, its just that at the end of the day, the other guy would manage to stand back up, get healed and go and fight. (Back to playing please, if you would. I need to refrain from mingling with gamers; makes them stop playing)
  6. So you guys liked having your character be flung around like rag dolls in one other guy's post, then you guys fling theirs like rag dolls in your own post? It sounds..... Unskillful. Almost noob-friendly. Oh well.
  7. Its not that there are no camping spots, its that camping won't get you an incineration cannon. There are still many unbalanced locales and most of the maps are just not fun to play. Bungie would never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever put a map like Settler into their most-played playlist.
  8. You don't get points but you'd still win. I'll think about making a skull that allows people to kill. when I get some more feedback. Also. "While the others were still talking, laughing amongst themselves" is puppeting. Who said that they were in a tightly packed group? Oh well. I'll let it slide this once.
  9. ROUND 3 END Red Team wins by quite a lot. For this round, nobody gets a special weapon. Now, before we go on, I wanna say that that entire round was against the rule of 'no killing', and if it was because of the name that caused the misunderstanding, that would be my bad. So I would like to ask - was it better? Should I implement a Yes-Killing gametype? Personally, I'm against it, especially since someone playing has already PM'd me complaining about how much god-modding and puppeting was in the lobby. ROUND 4 Gametype: Halofight FFA Skulls: Tough Luck - When this skull is activated for a round, in that round, every player will lose meta-gaming, auto-hitting, puppeting and godmodding abilities - you can no longer say your attacks hit, only that you performed an attack, and you must wait for your target to respond accordingly. Your character can't have knowledge of happenings in the game because you know it - they must, in-game, learn of it. You can no longer control other characters, nor say that happened to them in your post. The exception to this skull is Armies, and they can auto-hit and be auto-hit as they are disposable. Barebones - No Armies. (This is just to help test the Tough Luck skull) Map: A Naval Carrier, with falcons and banshee's as its vehicular armaments, and fully functional indoors, has floated to the island. All players board it, searching for escape but only to fight yet another round. The Island is now off limits. For this round, please, go back to the 'no killing rule', and the winner will be judged by post quality. ROUND 4, BEGIN!
  10. Noob friendly is one thing, kd ratio is another. ....That said, Halo 4 is waaaay more noob friendly than many games, including Cod. At least there, they actually need you to be better to get the cooler things. Halo 4? Its PURE randomness in things like Ordnance, and the maps are just so excessively badly made.
  11. In about 3 hours I'm just gonna reveal that everybody kinda broke a main rule and I'm gonna question if 1. You liked it and 2. If I should rename Team Slayer to something else.
  12. OK, First of all, this isn't 343 Industries' forums. Second of all, you don't need to mod Mark VI for Halo 4; its in the game. Third of all, if you mod in matchmaking you WILL get banned. Fourth, why are you calling yourself 343i? However, any and all mods are allowed in things like customs as long as you don't put virus' into our Xbox's or something.
  13. YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH 343, I commend you for deciding to make this pack. Mark V, ODST and Forerunner armor will be cake on the cake, and the cake would be the wonderful map - The Pit (Too bad its so brown, unlike the brighter yellow-green-blues) and more stuff. The Mark V armor feet looks like duck bills. And the ODST boots look like armored sandals. The steel skin pack looks like gold guns.CANT WAIT TO BE PRTTY Faith, rekindled. Just a teeny bit....but still hopeful.
  14. I doubt it, not only because I've never heard of transferring nameplates (If bungie cant, no one can) but because 343 probably wont listen to you, if you even managed to reach them at their official forums. I'd tweet @bs angel, she'd be the biggest chance of getting 343 to listen.
  15. Ohai DN. How was your exam time and other schtuffs?
  16. Recording your Reach/3 Videos might have to wait for a few days because as of right now, I have 170-200 something GB on my laptop used on the Halo Wars playdate, 37 GB used for creating a compressed version, and a remaining few hundred on other playdates and cod. Which I have to start looking through to delete.
  17. Lolno 343i bot can die in a virus He's too..... Predictable. What if Absolute Dog had a one v one with GSD?
  18. Can't wait to counter all you noobs in play date. I'll be recording.
  19. Wow, someone called me SEED. Huh. It's more points by timelimit, and then I'll ask a question to see if we should remove the game type.
  20. No game mechanism ruined multiplayer; Attribute that to all the complainers. Personally I like the changes. Still not balanced, still boring, but at least better than the start. The problem here is that 343 added a ton of randomness because they wanted to cater to bad players, but did it wrongly. Now? Well......At least it's a teeny bit more balanced.
  21. Change is good, but that's also what 343 said when they decided to infest Halo 4 with every single type of randomness they could to decrease the skillgap and invite Cod players to join. GOOD Change is what the series is known for, and Halo 3 was without a doubt the most balanced of all the Halo games.
  22. .....Really? A Lolcatz topic? Are you serious? What happens in lolcatz remains in lolcatz.
