Got it. All 3 are professors, after all. They know each other are clever. So the 3rd could get it - He thought it like this. I'll generally refer to the professors as 1st, 2nd and 3rd. The 1st professor can see both the had of 3rd and 2nd. If 1st sees 2 white hats, he would've immediately answered - its 100% he's wearing black. But no, he didn't answer! This means: 2nd and 3rd are either wearing 2 black hats, or one are wearing black and one are wearing white. Those are the only combinations possible. Now the 2nd knows this, and he can see 3rd. So he thinks, maybe I have black. Maybe I have white. I don't know. So he will look forward and see if its black or white. If it's white, then he can answer as black because of why first didn't answer - he would have a black hat. But no, he sees 3rd has a black hat, and so he doesn't know if he has a black hat or a white hat. Now, 3rd knows both of this - he has run this logic in his mind. And, since 2nd didn't answer, he therefore reaches the conclusion that he has a black hat. Answered.

The thing is, the reason this RP is dead is because there isn't a driving force behind it. In fact, it technically isn't an RPG, just a text based game. People are 'sent on assignments' and they write that. But that's boring, because there isn't any interaction with other characters, no actual story. Just....stuff. There's another RP I played, similarly based on a fictional, and very filled universe yet in a fan made one, and it's an adventure like no other playing it. Another guy here, Axilus Prime, will tell your the same thing. What makes it amazing, apart from the great writers there, is the ability to interact in a fully sandbox game - you can do things, and you can set up your own plots, your own story arcs, for other players to join, while you have other characters to join them. All the while, the main game arc set up by the game staff runs, and you can feel free to have an impact on that one. THAT's what makes a text based RPG amazing. You don't have anything like a video game RPG, whether there are other players on it or not, where you can create amazing gameplay. A Text Based RPG is amazing because there is no such thing as 'gameplay'. There is just choices, and there is how good you can write. If you want, we can make one. PM me! I would love to create a fully functioning TBRPG here, where the community has a bit more of a talent for common sense.... And also because this community is accessible. It'll be easy, it'll be fun!
