Ohhhh, yes. The latest reports are saying that Halo 2 Anniversary is reportedly in the works at 343 Industries. The studio is currently focusing most of its efforts on Halo 4, but also has a team dedicated to giving the Xbox classic the HD treatment. The news comes via the latest issue of Official Xbox Magazine UK, which carries the following quote in its rumours section: "Following the success of remake Halo Anniversary, 343 Industries has now started development of Halo 2 Anniversary." Short but sweet. Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary released last year, bringing - amongst other things - a glorious high def revamp and a remastered orchestral soundtrack with it. Well its right up there with Halo lol got to say though the custom skins are kind of bad. But the XP is wonderful

Because you'll need at least 8GB to play Halo 4's multiplayer according to Microsoft. That means either having the required space on your hard drive or on a compatible 8GB (or bigger) USB Flash memory stick. Epic Games has declared that starting today, there'll be a Gears of War 3 double XP event running from now until... erm, an unspecified date, to commemorate July 4th, or rather Independence Day. Presumably the event will be running through July 4th. There's 2x XP across Versus, Beast and Horde modes, as well as a special 'Top Wingman' playlist with alpha rules, where you'll be able to select a custom event skin for each weapon. These skins are all Top Gun-themed and are as follows: Maverick – Lancer Viper – Retro Lancer Goose – Hammerburst Iceman – Gnasher Jester – Sawed off So, why not fire up Gears of War 3 now and engage in some Top Gun shenanigans for Independence Day, earning double XP while you're at it.
