happened to me whislt i was playing mass effect 3, i got 20 gamerscore in the middle of the game, dont worry it has been resolved. i recovered my profile and had to redo the 2 achievements i unlocked whilst the issue was happening, it DOES NOT overwrite your old gamerscore. Luckily the problem has ended

The iPlayer finally launches on Xbox Live next week, according to reports, offering free access to the vast array of television and radio content broadcast by the BBC across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Announced alongside the Xbox dash revamp last year, the iPlayer is thought to have been delayed thanks to issues regarding payment. The BBC is funded by license fees, not individual subscriptions, so locking it away behind a Gold membership paywall could have proved problematic. No such problems in the end though. The same reports claim that the app will be free to both Gold and Silver subscribers, allowing iPlayer to join 4oD, Sky and Channel 5’s apps on XBL. The last of the big British broadcasters, ITV, are believed to be launching their ITV Player before the end of the year. It’s worth noting that this is yet to be confirmed. Microsoft has responded with the usual no comment on “rumour and speculation.” Seems like a safe enough bet though.

It's a double dose of gaming goodness on the Xbox Live Arcade this week, as Shoot Many Robots offers frenetic side-scrolling blasting madness and Defenders of Ardania offers up some fantastical and rather attractive tower defence. You'll also find some hack 'n' slash deals, including Dungeons & Dragons, Warhammer 40K: Kill Team, The Baconing and Torchlight. According to a reliable source, Microsoft is set to raise the Gamerscore cap and maximum number of achievements for Xbox Live Arcade games from April 1st, at which point games will be able to adopt either the new or old system, until June 1st, when the new changes take mandatory effect across all XBLA games. XBLA titles like Diabolical Pitch and The Splatters will be able to take advantage of the raised Gamerscore and increased achievement count, which will apparently allow up to 400 Gamerscore spread across up to 30 achievements. The new policy will also reportedly allow 100 extra Gamerscore and 8 achievements per quarter for DLC, with a maximum of four in total. That means that XBLA games can potentially end up with 800 GS across 62 achievements with any released DLC factored into the equation

the problem 'One' is a lot of Halo fans are scared of change they'd rather stayed as it was 8/10 years ago and not change at all. Unfortunately games need to change otherwise they go stagnant and die.

Spectral Jester replied to Mobious's topic in Halo CE + Anniversary
Have a look at your reach save data on your hard drive, click into it im guessing it may be corrupt, if you have never accessed Xbox live on it then your data will be lost. Also on a side note go into service record are your commendations reset as well? If so the that's defo the answer a corrupt file -
If you're hoping that you'll eventually be able to get your hands on Halo 4 through a pre-release multiplayer beta like Halo 3 and Halo: Reach before it, then you'd better think again. 343 Industries has confirmed that there are no plans for a Halo 4 multiplayer beta, as the developer will be "focused on polishing and shipping" the game. "While we are testing Halo 4 code, gameplay, and systems at significant scale to get excellent data, input, and feedback, we are focused on polishing and shipping our experience for the duration of the year, and splitting resources to manage and build a beta is not on our schedule." So, there you have it then. You'll be playing Halo 4 upon its release and no sooner, sadly. Halo 4 is out later in the year

According to that good old rumour mill, Microsoft has been telling partners that its next Xbox won't have a disc drive. Apparently, the console could instead be compatible with some form of interchangeable solid-state storage, but discs and other physical media reportedly won't be supported. Word of a 2013 launch has also been doing the rounds again, making the possibility of an E3 2012 reveal all the more likely if it proves to be true. We can't imagine that the omission of a disc drive for the next-generation Xbox will go down too well though, especially for gamers hoping for backwards compatibility. Microsoft issued a statement to MCV in response to the rumours, which as you'd expect, sheds no light on them whatsoever. “Xbox 360 has found new ways to extend its lifecycle like introducing the world to controller-free experiences with Kinect and re-inventing the console with a new dashboard and new entertainment content partnerships," reads the statement. "We are always thinking about what is next for our platform and how to continue to defy the lifecycle convention. Beyond that we do not comment on rumours or speculation.”

Assuming you've had your fill of the UFC series' simulation of the increasingly popular face-pummeling sport of MMA, the accessible, arcadey remit of publisher 345 Games' and developer Kung Fu Factory's newly announced Bellator: MMA Onslaught might be music to your ears. Based upon the Bellator MMA organisation, Bellator: MMA Onslaught is coming to the Xbox Live Arcade, courtesy of the MMA Supremacy developer, who is hoping to make an MMA title that'll appeal to fight fans of all types. "It was imperative that we create a mixed martial arts game accessible to all types of players not just the hard core MMA fan," said 345 General Manager, Dan Yang. The 'Path to Glory' mode will provide MMA Onslaught's single-player crux, with one-off fight events, elimination tournaments and other events. MMA Onslaught will also have multiplayer with online rankings, and there'll be fighters from Bellator's roster, as well as the ability to create your own fighters with their own move sets and fighting styles. 345 Games also promises updates for the game post-release, with more weight classes, moves, styles and fighters on the cards. Bellator: MMA Onslaught is scheduled to launch on XBLA this summer

Post your gamer tag The Official "Why Am I Banned Thread".
Spectral Jester replied to Absolute Dog's topic in Halo Reach
Eskobar Returns. I see nothing obvious in your game history. It makes me wonder 2 things Its either network manipulation of challenges. Or is there another gamertag on your Xbox that plays reach? As the ban hammer bans the console not the gamertag -

Spectral Jester replied to Absolute Dog's topic in Halo Reach
zyga triq, the games of firefight you have played you have afk'd for most of the game, sorry but 10/20 kills in firefight is afk this does not fool the ban hammer -
Seen them? Really? Link? As I seriously doubt they would create ranks after inheritor when like 1% of the Reach population has reached the top rank. And why bother when Halo 4 is incoming this year. I say someone is having a laugh with you.

Back to Karkand isn't the only downloadable expansion you'll be able to grab for Battlefield 3, as EA has today revealed that there's a further three expansion pack add-ons that'll be coming from this June onwards. The first pack will be Battlefield 3: Close Quarters, which will add new weapons, assignments and dog tags to an infantry-only mode. That will be arriving in June, while the next expansion packs will be Armored Kill and End Game, coming in autumn and winter, respectively. Here's the complete details for all three upcoming Battlefield 3 expansion packs: •Battlefield 3: Close Quarters – In Battlefield 3: Close Quarters, players are dropped into a frantic, infantry-only theatre of war. Frostbite 2 high definition destruction makes the environment come alive as everything from furniture to plaster gets shot to pieces. Players will feel the intensity of the world exploding around them as rubble and broken pieces pile up on the floor, while tight level design and vertical gameplay create a highly competitive environment. Battlefield 3: Close Quarters also introduces new weapons, assignments and unique dog tags to bring back to the base game. •Battlefield 3: Armored Kill – Following the tight infantry gameplay of Battlefield 3: Close Quarters, DICE will release Battlefield 3: Armored Kill that ups the ante for vehicular mayhem as only Battlefield can do. Featuring new driveable tanks, ATVs, mobile artillery and more, Battlefield 3: Armored Kill also delivers huge battlefields for an all-out vehicle assault, including the biggest map in Battlefield history. •Battlefield 3: End Game – The fourth expansion pack will ship in the winter but details remain tightly guarded. If you're looking to expand your Battlefield 3 multiplayer game, then the Back to Karkand expansion is out now for 1200 Microsoft Points. Battlefield 3: Close Quarters is out in June

Speaking at Microsoft’s Spring Showcase in San Francisco recently, Josh Holmes, Halo 4’s Creative Director, was keen to settle Halo fan's nerves the world over and push the notion that Halo 4 was a “reboot” and not a “reset.” “We don’t want to simply imitate what’s been done before,” said Holmes. “We need to find our own voice and give ourselves the freedom to take chances and really push things forward. “In some ways you can think of Halo 4 as a bit of a reboot,” Holmes continued. “It’s not a reboot in the sense of well-known film franchises in Hollywood like Batman or Star Trek or Bond. The difference there is really that we’re not pressing reset on the story, we’re not resetting the state of the universe. This is a very deliberate continuation of events that have transpired in Halo 1, 2 and 3.” Halo 4 is as much about taking the series forward as being faithful to the canon, noted Holmes, with 343 keen to put their own stamp on the popular Microsoft franchise, but not at the expense of everything that Bungie has laid down before them. “One of the things that’s really important for us is to have that connective tissue fictionally, and then maintain consistency with the canon that’s been laid across the universe.” Halo 4 is scheduled for a holiday 2012 release

XBLA is getting its second go-round with the boys from the mountain town in the form of South Park: Tenorman's Revenge. The game will be a side-scroller with four-player couch co-op and online co-op both included. The revealed playable characters are the four original fourth-grader stars (sorry Butters), but it isn't clear if there will be future playable characters unlocked.

If you've played Doodle Jump on iOS, Windows, or Android devices, you know how addictive the game can be. Joining other popular, casual games like Fruit Ninja and Quarrel, Doodle Jump will be heading to XBLA. It's been nearly a year since the move to Xbox was announced, so it's forgivable if you forgot about it, but some new details have been revealed that are worth noting for fans. Firstly, those Kinect controls the game uses are actually required, so don't go spending your MSP without the peripheral. Hopping side to side and using your arms to defeat enemies will make up the bulk of the motion controls in what sounds like a decent workout for a non-fitness game. Secondly, the game's level design has been redesigned for XBLA. Whereas on handheld devices, the game would seamlessly and randomly generate more and more of the level as you climbed the platforms (and the leaderboards), the Xbox LIVE Arcade version will have a legitimate beginning and end to each level. Also new to this version will be more obstacles, enemies, and backgrounds to the game. Doodle Jump (XBLA) is due out sometime this year, but no price or more specific release date has been announced.

It's been in the XBLA pipeline for quite some time, but rest assured that Minecraft is coming, and it'll apparently be supported alongside the PC version with developer 4J Studios promising constant updates for the XBLA iteration of the game. Split-screen is also one of the game features that you'll be able to access in the XBLA version of Minecraft, as revealed during the Microsoft Spring Showcase this week, Kotaku reports. That means you'll be able to play with friends from the comfort of your couch, but you'll have to wait for Kinect functionality to be patched in at a later date, Eurogamer has discovered. So, while there won't be Kinect support immediately upon Minecraft's launch, at least split-screen multiplayer will help ease the pain. Minecraft is coming to XBLA in Q2 2012.
