Imo Halo wouldn't have been as compelling of a game to play without the masterpiece that Bungie had created being coupled with for it's time a soundtrack that truly spoke to people, you could pre-near close your eyes and feel the emotions coming out of the game by just listening to the symphony in the background. That is what made Marty amazing in my own oppinion, a true sense of feeling was added to the game when those arcaic voices slowly started humming in - And the start of the drums and that wicked guitar riff that was made infamous by Halo:2. Not sure why I rambled that but Halo was an epic game in my oppinion and was polished off with the most soothing, melodical yet riveting soundtrack that got you just as pumped as the debut trailer release.

I'm pretty sure they said that the new maps will feature a Forge Pallette similiar to that of Forge World and Tempest, I remember watching a video where they were talking about the ability to create whatever you wanted with the map you had. Speculation at best but I vaguely remember hearing something about that - Forgeable tree's will finally be here though =D that is the Truth!

Data Drop 4 just landed this afternoon, I've filled in a recap section in the bottom which includes Data Drops 1-4.
-
Edit the post, then when it pops up with the little screen click at the bottom "Use Full Editor" after that you should be able to edit the Title as well as the Subject. =) Glad to help. And YES I honestly don't think I'll stop till I make it - If only once and if only by bouncing off the other tower =P Don't think I'll be pro enough to actually land on the other tower.
-
It will be released every 2 years, Halo:4 will be released in December 2012 and Halo:5 will be released sometime around Holiday 2014 so there is NO way they are going to perfect Halo:4 when they are going to be releasing an updated game 2 years down the road. Yes I think we should have these things but the truth of the matter is - If you make a game by which the community has anything and everything they need to have endless ammounts of fun then nobody will buy the sequel. I don't know about anybody else but when Perfect Dark was released alongside Goldeneye it was a timeless game with more option then anyone could've asked for at the time, competition was tough because everybody had played the tried and true of either of the two and didn't see anything special about what other games may offer. We want to make the best series possibly, but at the same time we surely don't want to be the ones who's killed off our own Trilogy.
-
Yup, Basically what you said. I think this is a group of counter-operatives from either 343 themselves or are a hired group of individuals mean't to leak information - Leak in the sense that if you find where the leak is then you can tell what it all is and how it all goes together, The problem? This thing is hiding the leak excruciatingly painfully and will only divulge information when the correct questions are asked.
-
This thing IMO is like a super-computer AI or what would be considered the impersonation of such a device, I think this could be a special team of counter-intelligence operatives from 343 themselves sent to leak information but only under scrutinized circumstances. They did say "She" would play a more active role, let's face it Bungie hid there secrets and hid them well with no hints to there location or what they would do - This could be a way of getting secrets across to the truly dedicated without worrying about Hacking be used to simply open up the game and destroy it's for all intents and purposes glory behind being hidden in the first place. Check and Mate if this is incorrect then please do tell me AR783.

Is it because we are only seeing the beginning?

Bump for Data Drop 3
-
Personally I think we should be grateful to have even got another 10 years of dedication to the series, IMO I'm not sure if 343 Industries and/or Microsoft will even want to continue the Trilogy after that. Other than that great idea! =D I would love to see another ODST game - Haven't played Halo Wars though.
-
Updated the OP with more information =D Can't wait for Data Drop 3.

Did anyone notice Waypoint released this today and didn't say much else... for some reason it makes me think about Halsey's Diary - Anyone else have any thoughts? -- http://halo.xbox.com/en-us -- [ Update - October 14 /2011] Wapoint released there Fifth data drop today - #5 Data Drop 5/6 [ Update - October 8 / 2011 ] Waypoint released yet again another Data Drop today - #4 Data Drop 4a/6 Data Drop 4b/6 [ Update - September 23 / 2011 ] Waypoint released yet again another Data Drop today - #3 Data Drop 3a/6 Data Drop 3b/6 [ Update - September 16 / 2011 ] Waypoint released yet again another Data Drop today - #2 - Upon clicking the 2/6 on waypoints page it lead me to This article. So both pictures are the same in appearance but will have a different; .PDF file associated with it, I'm not quite sure what to make of this one but this is all that was released in the second Data Drop. OFFICE OF NAVAL INTELLIGENCE/SECTION 3 DUE DILLIGENCE REPORT – A340021 2300 HOURS, JULY 18, 2552 CLASSIFIED TOP-SECRET COMM-SCRIBED/PTS 9386-9 >> 00834-19223-HS // VADM STANFORTH, HIERONYMUS MICHAEL << 00230-00923-MP // ADM PARANGOSKY, MARGARET ORLENDA RE: OPERATION: BRAVADO Margaret, Paperwork’s almost done on this end. So is the whiskey. I guess that means I’ll be headed back your way before long, especially after the number I put Levi through this time around. Boatswain says it’ll be sidelined for two months at least, so I’ve already filed with Fleet to transfer the crew to Coenwulf when I make my rounds in Sydney. At any rate, this one was certainly a victory, as difficult as it is for me to call it that. I know the casualty reports are going to look ugly, but that’s nothing new. We lost about half the battlegroup, as well as Cradle. Surface didn’t fare much better either: Caracas, Huiren, Côte d'Azur, Silma and Enfield, all parking lots now...some because the enemy’s good at what they do and others because we refused to give them the opportunity. It’s just been so long since we’ve walked away from one of these things alive. We crushed eighteen of those ********. I can’t remember the last time that happened. And now they’re gone. It’ll take us a few years to clean up, probably a dozen or so to fix what was done on the ground. But they’re gone...that’s got to count for something. A file’s attached with some interesting data Iroquois picked up. The Covenant were transmitting something from the planet’s surface before we blew the lid off it. We’re not sure what it was, but it would not surprise me in the least if it ends up being grouped with sites like Onyx, Meridian, Arcadia or even that thing Halsey’s digging up on Reach. Anyway, AAR is en route. Talk to you soon, maybe over tea? - HMS Data Drop 1/6 which I failed to post with the lot of them has thankfully been posted by a user a couple posts down, it is a star chart of a specific star system. Solid reasoning of why bloom is good/bad
Raskulz replied to Sportan's topic in Halo CE + Anniversary
If they removed bloom altogether then how does removing bloom =/= more accuracy? 343 Industries said they were thinking along the lines of 85% Bloom - What this means is that if you fire full pace full spam then at blooms biggest reticule it will still only be 85% of the original size. So right there you have an automatic 15% increase in accuracy for spammers while still punishing those long distance shots. Based on what you said it seems as though you think that bloom is just those little lines on the screen showing you where your shots will be when really it is just a visual aid. -
The C.E. Pistol Being brought into Reach Multiplayer?

Reasons to keep the; Assault Rifle - Designated Marksman Rifle - Magnum Assault Rifle - This weapon is best utilized from a Close-Medium range and is almost always the weapon you wan't in a CQC firefight(Assuming your options are of the 3 listed) Also as it was said in the game manual this is a Support weapon, meaning while you spray and pray your teammate should be waiting for the shield *Pop* to finish them off. Designated Marksman Rifle / DMR - Best utilized from a Medium-Long range, with a 3x scope the kill range is much farther than that of a Magnum and with it taking 5 shots to kill - you'll find people contemplating the range; 5 Shots versus the Medium-Close range that the 3 Shot magnum has Magnum - 3 Shots and your dead, 1..2..3 assuming you hit every shot, this will be most effective at a medium range where a person would likely have an; Assault Rifle, Magnum combo - any father and you'd better hope the DMR isn't there secondary weapon as for vice versa any closer and you'd better hope you have an Assault Rifle and a competent teammate - Assault Rifle is only ever meant for "Support" and if you get the kill then good but your just aiming to stop your teammate from being the one to get killed. TL;DR - Assault Rifle; 18 Shots to kill - DMR; 5 Shots to kill - Magnum; 3 Shots IMO this balances the weapons out a little bit more and forces them to be used for there respective distances forcing people to use more than one weapon at almost any given time. I don't know if anyone else remembers doing this but whenever I played Halo:3 I would run around and almost literally being switching back and forth from the BR to the AR and back - I still do this in reach and it's just for that reason, if you walk around a corner into a CQC area then you don't wan't to have to pull out the Assault Rifle and vice versa you wouldn't walk out into an open area without first equipping your DMR. -
I know! I would probably get lost in Forge World if there was a placeable AI, testing your maps would be much more enjoyable not to mention while making the maps - BAM! "What the --- !?" That freaking elite just killed me while I was making my map!? A humourous distraction but not enough to really anger you.
