  1. If you didn't want to offend anyone, you probably shouldn't have gone and said that those using them are wimpish and scared. Just saying. Anywho, I don't think the assault rifles in Halo 4 are overpowered at all. They're meant to excel in close range but also be viable (though not as effective) in medium range. They do a great job at that. If you're using a precision weapon like a BR for example, then it's up to you as a player to then learn how to move and combat someone using an AR, SR, or Suppressor. Finally, I hardly think it's ruining the online experience. You just need to improve your skills is all.
  2. Instead of breaking your disc, just trade it in for some store credit at Gamestop or something. Also, 1 to 10 scales usually go the route of 1 being the least and 10 being the greatest, so that'd probably equate to your score being an 8. xD Mine would have to be 1/10, because I love Halo 4. It's one of my favourites in the series and I'm definitely gonna keep on playing.
  3. I'm well aware of the popularity Halo 2 used to have. It was such a juggernaut back then for multiple reasons. A few of those being the lack of any real competition, the rise of online play on consoles that Xbox Live helped to create, and the hype surrounding it before its release. What you stated is speculation. Why do you think 343i, or even Microsoft for that matter, are afraid of not being able to release a game that, in your eyes, isn't better than Halo 2? That's pure speculation with, as far as I can tell, no real evidence, no statements, no data to really base such an assumption on. I mean, you know they're well aware people want a Halo 2: Anniversary and they're willing to do one, right? Why would they be willing to do something they're afraid might overshadow their own work? That doesn't make a lick of sense to me. I never talked about the sales of HCEA or a possible H2A. What I said was that Microsoft would still be the ones making the money from a H2A, so the "fear" you're talking about makes no sense. They're going to make lots of money with the new Halo trilogy, that's a given. Whether or not H2A were to be more popular (and I really doubt it would be) doesn't matter so much, seeing as how 343i and Microsoft are the ones still getting all the profit at the end of the day. Get it?
  4. The Storm Rifle is a beast! I played a few games a while back and it seemed like it was killing faster than the AR! I coupled it with a magnum and that, for me, was a pretty darn effective combo. It looks awesome, sounds awesome, and it's uber fun to use.
  5. She wanted to kill Dr. Halsey because she was ordered to, personal feelings aside. She most definitely would've killed Glassman just like she tried to kill Halsey. Palmer seems like the kinda woman who is adamant on following orders, regardless of personal feelings.
  6. His lawyer is the one behind bars. That was pretty simple! XD
  7. Halo 2 "Juggernaut"? What're you talking about? It's a nearly decade old game that ran its course with the rest of the games for the original Xbox. None of them, even those that're still popular with people, get a chance either. What makes you think this "Juggernaught" whatever that's supposed to mean, is "scaring" them? Like, really? What've they got to be scared of? Why would they be afraid of H2A being done right and gaining lots of players? I don't think lots of people now want to play a decade old game instead of more recent games, Halo or not. Halo's not really as popular as it used to be, so you probably wouldn't be seeing the numbers you did when the game was still fresh, still extremely popular. They'd be the ones making the money either way, y'know. Microsoft and 343i would be raking in the cash from whatever profit a H2A gave them. The reason they didn't have the original MP for Halo Anniversary isn't the same reason you're giving for H2A, it's because the original Halo didn't have online netcode, and if they just put its MP over xbox live, like they did with co-op, you'd be having HUGE amounts of lag, just like you do with the co-op if not worse. It wouldn't be something they could do in a small amount of time either. It'd take quite a while to create proper netcode, test it, and make sure it's all working peachy-keen.
  8. Can't really say I prefer one to the other, but right now I'm more into playing the PS3 (come at me, bros!) since I've got back into a few of the games I've got for it. Some of my favs are Little Big Planet 2, Journey, Resistance: Fall of Man, and Demon's Souls. I haven't been gaming a lot lately, but when I have, it's definitely been one of those! xD
  9. I've still gotta disagree with the way you put it. I mean yeah it'd be pretty bad if Nintendo did say we couldn't play it and took away all our carts, digital copies, etc., but Microsoft isn't doing that with Halo 2. Sure it's a pretty big bummer you can't play it online over its own MM system and stuff, but like, you still have the game right? You can still go ahead and play SP, Co-Op, and multiplayer with a few friends in splitscreen or xbox connect. Besides, SMW's not got an online mode and it's a local singleplayer, possibly co-op game. You're talking about taking away the entire game with that example, which isn't really the same thing as this, y'know? I'm not any kind of official spokesperson or anything, but you can still play the game with people, you've just got to do that through XBC on the consoles and private servers/LAN on the PC. It's not quite the MM experience, I understand, but at least it's something right? I don't think I can think of many console games, if any, from older gens that're still capable of their original online suite. That's pretty much a PC exclusive thing as far as I know, and that's 'cause PCs don't have to worry about that sorta thing when you upgrade them. I'm not gonna get into which Halo game is better or worse, or the whole MLG thing. That wasn't really what I was talking about and it's kind of a moot point for me.
  10. Well they've actually patched the game with at least two title updates so far. Okee dokee, here's my idea for Halo 5's name! "Halo 5: The Cliffhanger" Sounds pretty good, right? I mean, I know everyone loved Halo 2's ending. I can't wait to see how 343i tops that!
  11. They didn't shut Halo 2 down specifically, at least not on the Xbox. Microsoft shut down all of the original Xbox Live servers, so that obviously affected Halo 2 just like every other game. It wasn't really something aimed at Halo 2 players specifically, dont'cha think that's kinda silly to say Microsoft was specifically targeting the Halo 2 audience just to increase sales? Keeping those original XBL servers up were costing them money, when they already had new and improved servers up and running for the 360. I also really disagree that Halo 2 fans are owed anything. I mean you did get 5+ years to play it online, Microsoft even extended the original Xbox Live shutdown by a few months or so, didn't they? Plus, we had Halo 2 Vista to play on the PC until just a couple of months ago. You've really got to admit that we have had plenty of time to play and enjoy Halo 2. They're not really denying you from playing the game. Playing it online in matchmaking? Sure, but you had around 5 to 6 years to play it. Playing the single-player, co-op, and multiplayer over Xbox Connect? You can still do that and set up private servers and stuff for the PC version if you still wanna play. Honestly dude, I think you're getting a little too worked up over it. :/ I can't agree with calling it morally wrong. Everyone's got different sets of morals, and I don't see how it was morally wrong myself. Halo 2 and indeed all the other original Xbox games had their time to shine. Yea, I'd love to play some of them online, but I feel like it's just time to move on.

    Ohaiii

Hey there everyone! I made this account sometime earlier today before collapsing into bed, but now I'm finally making an introduction thread! No idea what else I should say, but oh well! xD
  13. PC version, but the Xbox 360 version can be fun too! Yup! It's pretty fun, even if I haven't played it much in months! xD My best moment is probably in the PC version. I managed to legitimately amass more than about 200 of the following: iron ingots, torches, sticks, and coal! I logged on one day, and the world was just gone. T . T Why would you ask this? xD Yes, I have the PC and Xbox 360 versions! My favourite block, though I've not played much even with the recent updates, is proably the default grassy dirt block. There's just some kind of charm to it. Definitely not Creepers! Seriously, I hate those things with a passion! > . > My favourite though is the slime. I love the sound they make when they hop around. Plus, they're cute!
  14. I really like both versions, but I usually just stick with the original OST. Something kinda odd I notice is that the remastered soundtrack seems a lot quieter when compared to the original. Moments like when you're escaping the Pillar of Autumn on the escape pod just don't have as much impact when using the remastered OST. It's a real shame too, 'cause it kind of turns me off of using the remastered tracks as much. :<
